I am here in fleischmann's New York for the summer few months and I I'm shopping here on a weekly basis.
I am Chasidic Jewish orthodox and I am from the staff in the boys camps in fleischmanns New York.
I've had a very good experience time and again and again in this store.
Many times I even came into the store with my Hasidic long black garb and always with my beard and long side curls and have never received any hatred at all not from the staff and not from shoppers as well.
I've never heard from any of my friends or co-workers in the camp that they received any hatred because they were Jewish
(Obviously a person with bad manners regardless of his faith would probably receive in return attitude as well)
In fact they were very kind and Ultra helpful whenever I needed help.
Many times they even went out of their way to help me find stuff.
Their prices are pretty reasonable.
Very competitive to home Depot or Lowe's.
The only thing that is maybe a little tough on me is the timing that they closed early around 4:00 or 4:30 p.m.
However this is normal business here in upstate and rural areas.

Everything is very clearly overpriced and the employees are very rude, because they can be. This place is designed to be exclusive to a specific group of people in the community. The lack of a parking lot is unacceptable if you manufacture concrete.
Big hardware store with everything you might need. Called about a screwdriver, went and got a screwdriver.
The two staff I interacted with were incredibly nice and helpful from start to finish.
Had an awful experience first thing first they kicked us out for being Jewish, I just wanted to come and buy some stuff and I get treated like this. Also they over charged for everything and they also have awful customer service I asked for something and they’re like one second we’ll look for it and never do. It was probably the worst experience I ever had. I would not recommend at all I would drive to Home Depot any day over this And that’s an hour, but it’s worth it. This was awful.
I’ve been coming here regularly since I bought my house in 2020 and I really love this place. It’s like the best neighborhood hardware store meets Home Depot meets Target. You can get just about anything you need from Benjamin Moore paint to lumber to gardening supplies and more.
And their prices are extremely reasonable – – I’ve compared them to things I’ve even bought on Amazon and they’re almost the same, which is incredible considering they’re a local family owned a store. Of course they’re going to be a little more expensive and they should be. They pay people a living wage as opposed to big box stores which pay people minimum wage and have constant turnover and are always shortstaffed. Wadlers is always abundantly staffed and their staff has been working there for the years I’ve been shopping there and are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful.
Highly recommend Curtis lumber in Delhi, Pickett’s Building Material in Oneonta, and Herzog’s True Value Home Center in Kingston. These are great alternatives where you will be treated with the respect that every customer deserves.
Wadler brothers is a fine example of a well run family business despite its massive size and variety of goods. They sell building supplies, lumber, and household items. The staff is very welcoming to the lgbtqqip2saa community. When your not sure what you need, or where things are---just ask for help. The staff is so kind. I really enjoy shopping there...
Been going to Wadler's for years, even before the old building was flooded out.
They have all high-quality products, a huge inventory, and the owners and staff are ultra-knowledgeable.
Great Benjamin Moore paint and accurate color matching.

I love this store. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have always helped me find the right tools/ materials for my projects. Ed and Mike are the best!
Super helpful staff. Awesome selection. Quality products from A to Z. You need it… they have it. Plus, this is not a chain/big box store. That’s refrehing! So happy to do business at Wadlers.

I DONT KNOW who those people were in that video but I’m sure beyond a doubt that they DONT live here! I’ve been using Wadler Brothers for over 15 years .. paint , wood, hardware, tools, .. you name it I’ve purchased it there….I’ve asked for advice, help in finding stuff, recommendations about products and the best way to accomplish what I’m working on.. I’m not a contractor just a Do it yourself person.. I’m (now 74) a grandmother, wife, homemaker, teacher, I use big tools, tablesaws, chainsaws , scroll saws and a variety of other tools around my house and homestead…. I have NEVER had a bad day at this store with ANYONE…. Owners, counter guys, outside workers…never ever have they been anything but polite and extremely helpful…. So all I can think is the people who uploaded that video are miliinnials who don’t know how
to be human beings…. I’ll bet that the words in their vocabulary do NOT include …please , thank you , excuse me, no mam yes sir !!! Just sayin…
I would give it 0 stars if I could. This establishment is very unreputable. I stopped in to purchase some antifreeze test strips and I noticed the one they tried to sell me expired 6 months ago. They had a whole box of expired strips. I told the clerk I might consider purchasing them at a discount because they shouldn't be sold anyway. I figured I would use them for a quick test before I could purchase good reliable ones. He checked with the owner/manager and came back to tell me to buy them or leave them. He added there isn't another place around that sells them. That might be true but I guess they never heard of the internet or Amazon. He put the one I was looking at back in the box before I left. Hopefully future customers will be as observant as me and hopefully they will have that box for many years.
Great lumber yard/elec/plumb/hardware/home supply/garden store. Always helpful and well stocked. They even helped me out with a portable air tank when I got a flat tire on the way there. Thanks again guys!
Statewide mask mandate, surging cases, and once again Zero Compliance. No employees are wearing masks. More than half the patrons unmasked. Not one sign about complying with the Governors mask mandate. Owners choose to set a miserable example for the community. Bold moves.
Fully loaded, clean, organized, with amazing customer service.
I love their mask policy.
No employees barking orders, acting as law enforcement, or threatening removal.
Prices are right on.

None of the employees were wearing masks and they were walking around and interacting with customers. Felt very uncomfortable and unsafe. I wanted to like this store and support local business but I ended up abandoning my shopping trip and went an hour out of my way to go to Lowe's. Won't be returning even post pandemic.
Best supply store in the area! Been doing business with Wadler bro's for many years. The employees are great! They have everything you need from concrete to kitchen cabinets. If Wadlers doesn't have it, you don't need it!
Very strange experience this morning. I asked Jason, the owner, what sort of bits my Milwaukee hammer drill accepted. He first asked me whether I bought it at his store, to which I admitted that I bought it at Home Depot (I had a gift card there). He responded that "it was not my job to educate me." Then he turned his back on me and refused to help me. I asked him whether he was upset, to which he explained that he was because I bought my tool at Home Depot. Weird.
After spending literally tens of thousands at Wadler in the past year during my home ongoing home renovation, this struck me as a completely bizarre (over)reaction.
I like Wadler for many reasons: helpful and knowledgeable staff, less than 5 minutes from my home, huge selection, and a family-owned business. But this morning's experience has really changed my opinion of the business.
Great Service! Great selection! Knowledgeable staff! Best of all they are not sheep. They practice social distancing without requiring a mask. They don't buy into the medias false narrative
The people here are great and super helpful. They're always interested in what you're planning on doing and have great recommendations. For example, I needed to run some line for a garden hose. One of the guys looked over what I'd grabbed, made a bunch of suggestions, and I wound up with a much better working system than I would have had. Can't speak highly enough of this place
