I recently visited Nana's Attic in Arkville, NY, and it felt like stepping into a time machine. I bought some baseball cards from 1987, 1988, and 1989, and seeing the all-stars of my past almost brought me to tears. The thrill of pulling out those familiar faces and even finding that hard-as-a-rock stick of gum in the packs was an incredible nostalgic trip.

I realize I’ve never written a review in the 6-7 (I think…?) years of weekend and seasonal getaways with my friends. Without fail, we always come to check out what has come in store at Nana’s Attic.
No- it’s not your average “thrift store”… it’s much better and a break from the average. (albeit, clothes and furniture is not my style of thrifting anyways… nor was I into thrifting)
I never cease to get lost in this deceivingly small building and find unique, witchy, magical, strange, unusual, and eclectic items. Most of us in my group walk out with something without fail and return without fail.
The owners are absolutely lovely and run the place like clockwork. Never a dull conversation and learn more about the place and its plethora of treasures.
If you haven’t stopped by… it’s really worth the trip if you find yourself around the area.
This is just an amazing find in the middle of nowhere. They have the building just filled to it max with a wide variety of antiques, oddities, and bizarre collectibles. Truly a must stop and visit place. We will be returning.
A great collection of both affordable and higher end collectables, unique finds and some cool oddities. A little of everything including old signs, jewelry, furniture in a perfectly well kept and beautifully laid out store.
A must stop when in the area. My only complaint is I wish they were opened later and a day during the week.
So many fascinating finds inside Nana"s Attic. I loved browsing at all the treasures here and the owners make you feel like a lifelong friend visiting them. I loved hearing the story of their mom who is really named Nana. Great store and so much fun. Best gift shop in the Catskills ?
A lot of tchotchkes… Not what I was looking for. There is a lack of authenticity that bothered me. I even found a stool with Made in China written on the back. Disappointing.
I love this lil shop. It’s basically like a goth antique store. They had the most amazing stuff. All the way from jewelery to furniture. I just didn’t like the taxidermy:( but other than that I would spend all my money in here lol
Holly molly is all I can say. From the light fixtures with dragons to the siblings that own the place . I love her witchy vibe . Good witch of course. I certainly would not want to get on her bad side. Even my boyfriend got something...he usually stays in the car but the outside caught his attention. I got a few things but the best was an antique pocket ⌚ from Alice in Wonderland she even wrapped it in a beautiful box ? it's a Christmas gift for my daughter. I will definitely go back.
This store is mostly small knick knacks and oddities. I thought from the sign and the front window that it would have more antiques. So definitely check it out if you are looking for smaller items like jewelry, pipes, mugs, etc.
Wow! From the moment I walked in so many neat things to look at and buy. Such a fun place for kids and adults! A little peace of Heaven! The owner she was also lovely!
This place is very cool! SO many unique things for gifts and the home. Antiques, vintage, and new items. Make sure to check their hours. They said they're in some times that are not posted, so call ahead and see if they're open. I wish I lived closer, so I could shop here often!
If you're looking for high-end antiques and unique items, this is the place for you!! Brad is very nice and helpful and has decorated the store with a great eye for design.
Great little treasure box for small items, costume accessories and small gifts. Found some fun glasses, necklace, and a sweater. The lady was very nice too.
There are so many things in that store, you can spend hours on end just browsing. Floor to ceiling... literally. Most of the smaller items are under lock and key in a maze of display cabinets. Truly a magical place. They have something for everyone, no matter what you collect!
An absolute must! This store is a diamond in the rough. Conveniently located across from the train, it offers tourists an opportunity to do something fun after the train ride. Go in and browse, your mind and senses could get “lost” while browsing in this fascinating shop. There is so much to see. A cross between an antique store, a gift shop and a strangely unusual oddities shop, Pure fun! I venture over there whenever I am in the area. The store is family owned and staff is delightful. I found a few pieces that compliment one of my China collections and even found a necklace in the process. It was a wonderful experience!
Visiting from Connecticut, the owners were so friendly, helpful, and welcoming, the place was extremely clean and easy to find. It's impossible to not find something for anyone here, just keep looking. I was blown away, wish I lived closer. Highly recommend.
So many unique items. Clean and adorable. Could spend hours looking and probably still miss something. Gifts of all types. Owner was very nice. Great shop.
I loved this place. An electic mixture of old and new laid out in a funky way that just made you want to take your time and explore. I found an old antique desk chair that pairs perfectly with an antique roll top desk that i am in the process of refinishing. They also had a great collection of old medicine bottles a couple of which had to come home with me to go with my collection. The owner was extremely pleasant. I enjoyed conversing with her. I will definitely be back the next time I make my way to the area.
Hartsdale New York is going to miss Nana's Attic. This place was an absolute treasure in this area for close to 50 years. When you needed an antique item or a trinket as a gift, this was the place to come to. I wish them the best of luck upstate New York. It's funny that the building that they are going into is almost exactly the same as the one they're in. I sent them a lot of business and did some business with them over the years. I highly recommend taking a trip to get what you need or local residents upstate take advantage of what they have to offer. They are truly wonderful people. It is not going to be easy passing by that empty building on Central Avenue every day but let's wish them the best of luck where they are now. God-bless you!
This place has the most eclectic crazy stuff you've ever seen. Antiques, sure, but also all sorts of weird collectable or weird things. There are no words for how much fun it is to wander around there.
