Our family was stranded in Ancram when our car broke down on a Sunday. Jim was amazingly helpful with a tow to his shop and repairs the next day. He even provided a ride to and from our last minute motel location. The car was repaired the next day (after parts were delivered) and we were on our way home. Many thanks for the talented repair services and kindness you showed our family. Definitely recommend!
I called to get my truck out of mud slipped 4 ft of the road on my horse farm itemn4 road tire went flat. The driver didn't have to wrench it that far but he did don't know. I use to have Tow business for 30 years . So was charged $450 plus $17.50 fee for credit card. He put spare on tire was real low. Had no airtime you changing flats u better have air tank lot of spares get low. We'll driver said couldn't do anything I asked to gmtake me to Napa 3.2 miles away said no got another call put when he got there said was a slow day. I offered to pay him said no . So $467.95 still. Stuck owner said basically tough luck .
Late on a Sunday afternoon, after packing my trunk for a road trip—including my 18-month-old son's baby gear and food—the trunk suddenly wouldn't open, neither by key, remote, nor latch. After trying unsuccessfully to access it through the back seats, I figured no shops would be open so late on a Sunday. I googled around and found Jim's Body Shop and gave them a call. Even though it was near closing time, Jim told me to come by. He removed the back seats, recovered the luggage, and found the trunk latch corroded and blocked by a stray piece of plastic. He went into the junkyard and pulled a matching latch off of a Camry, installed it on my Corolla, and sent me on my way. As such, my trip was only delayed by an hour or so. Exceptional customer service, especially given the day and time. I don't think there is anyone else in the county who would have done that on such short notice! New customer here, 5/5.
Had an issue while traveling of random vibration coming from a wheel. Jim said come on in and we’ll take care of you. Jim quickly got my car on the rack, figured out the issue, and resolved it for me all while I was able to have some puppy therapy with Milly (pictures) in the shop. Would absolutely come back and recommend to anyone who needs an auto body. Genuine people running a genuine American auto body shop that I would trust any day.

Our car sprung a gas leak while we were camping at Lake Taghkanic and we needed emergency repair Saturday evening to Sunday and Jim was there for us and got it done! The fuel pump had gone bad and he showed us the rusted part that he replaced. He even helped get us a ride back to our camp once we dropped it off.
My wife was gifted a 1979 Mercedes from her uncle and he was the original owner. She grew up loving this car and when we received it, it was in very rough condition with lots of rust and being held together with duct tape. Jim did a full restore of the body and gave the engine a tune up. It is now the car my wife fell in love with as a child. Jim had the car for 6 months, as we had discussed, and the price was exactly what he committed to when we dropped it off, even though it was more work then we both originally thought. I would go back to him with any car I wanted to look like new
Jim has been keeping my 01 Dakota 4 door running and looking great for more than 10 years. It looks and runs so good, It's going to be interred with me.
