On the way to Florida from Quebec City , everything was fine.Made on 81 south puncture ( pothole) . Unable to drive any longer and safely on the side of the highway, CAA ( AAA in USA ) referred us to Joe's Garage in Binghamton , New York. Exceptional support , honest and competent staff,fast service. Problem solved quickly , we were able to get back on the road the next day safely. My car dead in garage. AAA came couldn't help, said call in for tow. Tow guy came said can't do anything with your slippery driveway call wrecker. Enter Joe's Garage. Sent him photos he sent Joe. After much perseverance couldn't get all the way up drive. Did he give up...not hardly. He pushed car out of garage (backwards), hopped in and guided it down the drive right onto the flatbed and off it went for repair! And that's how The Master does it!! What a great place to do business.
Excellent towing service when my daughter's vehicle broke down. Raymond was extremely friendly and helpful when dropping the vehicle off, helping to get it into my driveway despite its impaired state.
Called AAA last night to get my car towed from my son’s house to mine because it wouldn’t start. Joe’s Garage came and the truck operator was fantastic. Wish I had remembered to ask his name but he was super helpful and went out of his way to get my car into my driveway in safe spot. Thanks!
My daughter’s car broke down on I-86 while she was driving back to school, and it was towed to Joe’s Garage in Binghamton. Joe quickly diagnosed the issue as a bad coil and had the car repaired the very next day. Because we live on Long Island — four hours away — he even held the car for us over the entire Thanksgiving weekend so we didn’t have to make two long trips.
What really impressed me was that Joe actually drove to the shop on Sunday evening and opened up just so we could pick up her car. I was nervous about having a random mechanic work on my daughter’s vehicle, but towing it all the way home wasn’t feasible. We put our trust in Joe, and I am so glad we did.

I had been having bad experiences this past week with my car as well as towing ppl well Joe ( not the owner) from Joe’s came and he just made my whole day better my car was in a very awkward spot he didn’t complain he just smiled n said he got this and he did n they even asked if I needed a ride with the car I’ve never had a towing company even give a hoot whether I would be ok I would recommend joes garage to anybody simply put they are the thank u Joe ( not the owner ) and thank u to joes towing I truly appreciate all the work you do
Very informative with simple explanation instead of hard to understand mechanical words. Friendly & funny "sometimes ". Every time I come to upstate NY & anything my charger needs, I'll go to Joe's; Especially when I get to do burnouts in the Blu coupe
I have been here a couple of times over the last few years and every single time they are amazing. Wonderful communication, very reasonable pricing especially for the quality work they do. I will always recommend them to anyone who needs a mechanical fix.
We had a tire blowout on 81S. Tiny, from Joe’s Garage, was at our car very quickly and installed our spare tire in no time. Thanks to him, we are on our way home safely!

I cannot say enough about the exceptional service I received from Joe’s Garage, especially from James, who went above and beyond in a moment of crisis. While I was all the way in Florida, my loved one was stranded on the road after leaving Cooperstown, NY on the way to the Albany airport. With very little information to give and only a phone call to rely on, James showed an incredible level of professionalism, compassion, and dedication.
Not only did he manage to locate my loved one, but he personally made sure they got the help they needed, stayed in constant communication with me the entire time, and saw everything through until the situation was fully resolved. James is truly an amazing human being—kind, patient, and a blessing during a stressful moment.

Ray from Joe’s just left my place. He was very professional and careful with my car. I have a 2023 BMW 2 series coupe that I store all winter and it wouldn’t start. It was locked also which made it very difficult. He got the car open very carefully!! That was a chore in itself but no marks left behind. Then the battery was so dead he had to go directly to the battery in the truck and let it charge for a bit. But he finally got it going. Highly recommend you ask for Ray when you need anything. If I could give it 0 stars I would. Do NOT bring your vehicle here. Overcharged for a diagnostic then they lied to AAA to try and prevent me from getting the car towed when I wasn't willing to overpay them for that too. Dishonest, unprofessional, downright scummy behavior.
I had my Toyota Sienna’s P005 sensor replaced at this garage less than two months ago, and it's already malfunctioning. Upon inspection, I discovered they had installed a used sensor without informing me. To make matters worse, the front desk staff was extremely unprofessional and treated me disrespectfully. I was also charged an excessive amount for the service. Overall, a very disappointing experience. I do not recommend this garage to anyone in the Binghamton area.
We moved to the area few years ago this shop was recommended to us we met the owner Joe and Amy use to be at the front but no more, they were very genuine and kind people unfortunately today we took our car to have them remove one of our skid plates which we did also a year prior and they didn't charge over 200 dollars today we paid almost 400 dollars very unfair, unjustified and more than anything unreasonable we will never go back
Awesome guys! Great service. I called, needing a tow right away, and they immediately dispatched a tow truck. The driver was very courteous, and very good at his job.
THIS PLACE IS AWFUL! I had to pay $410 to have them release my car when they had it for 2 hours. When I tried to ask why I am paying for a full night, Joe told me that I was being rude and he would make me wait until Monday to get my car. Do not go here!!
The guys here are super great, had to get a tow off the highway for overheating and they were quick. Mechanics were knowledgeable and quick to get me back on the road. Would highly recommend this shop!
Towed our car on a Sunday afternoon and demanded cash only…$320. My husband is a disabled veteran, from out of town. This place showed no mercy. If we didn’t come up with the cash, it $85 more a day. Treated like a criminal. Disgusting business.
Broke down just outside of town. Joe’s took a look at our car, squeezed us in their schedule, and had us back on the road the next day. The staff was super friendly, professional, and kind. If you’re in town, this is the place to go.
Had a flat on 17 East. Jay, the tow truck driver was quick to get to me and efficient in hooking me up and getting me to Joe’s. Joe himself was personable, business like and fun to deal with. Ultimately they save me a ton of money by being open to alternate solutions. I HIGHLY recommend Joe’s Garage!
My car had a sudden failure on the highway about 10 miles out of Binghamton. I called Joe's and they arrived 20 minutes later to tow my car back to town. I opted to hire them to make the engine repair. It only took a few days to schedule me in and get the part installed. I was pleasantly surprised how affordable the tow and engine repair was. I highly recommend them.
We were flagged by DOT near Binghamton, NY. Joe's Garage came right out and towed us to their facility. The truck needed an obscure part which they worked hard to find. The part was overnighted and fixed the next day! The guys were great to deal with and charged a fair price. Recommend 100%!!!
I dropped my car off on a Thursday morning, and they gave me a diagnosis fairly quickly. I gave them my decision around 2 in the afternoon, and they weren't sure they could have it done by the end of the day. Understandable.
I told them that I was going out of town the next day, and asked if it could be done by 2 pm (Friday). They said it definitely would be. I showed up at 3 pm on Friday, not having received a call or update, and they hadn't even started on my car. I was told they had another car "stuck" on the lift.
They called me around 5:30 to tell me my car was done. By that point, my girlfriend and I already had to take her car to go out of town and I wasn't able to get my car until Monday.
They didn't offer a discount, future accommodations, or anything other than a seemingly hollow apology.
After I got my car back, it seemed to have more problems than when I brought it in. One of the hydraulic arms that keeps the hood propped is broken, I now have a slow brake fluid leak, and the front brakes are grinding. All new since I dropped it at Joe's.
In fairness, I drive an old car that's in pretty rough shape. It has multiple other issues that they informed me of, unrelated to their service. I'm not claiming that they created the brake issues, as it could be just a coincidence, but the timing makes me wonder. The hood prop arm definitely broke on their watch, and they said nothing about it.
Given that it was my first time there and they have generally good reviews, I can't make any final conclusions. This instance was just not a good experience.
My car broke down in the City of Binghamton. I called Joe's because they were convenient. It was 9:23 pm when I placed my call. The dispatcher said a truck would be at my location within 25 minutes and sure enough they arrived in 20 minutes. The driver introduced himself, promptly assessed the situation, had my car on the flatbed within minutes and drove me to my home. The charge was a very reasonable $100 and the driver treated both me and my car (a 50 year old classic) with respect. I have never had the need for a tow, but found what could have been a very stressful (and costly) event to be very smooth and professional.
Great experience every time I get work done. Fast, efficient, and the guys are down to earth and very good at what they do. They picked me up when my car broke down on my way home, brought me back to the garage, and fixed the car. I was back on the road in less than an hour.
I broke down on Riverside drive, these guys took great care of me. They do AAA and got my car running in one day, which was very lucky because not everyone has the diagnostics tools to work on an old Benz (2000 model). The whole thing was a huge relief to me, I would definitely recommend them! Also very friendly.
