I needed new shocks and a steering damper and Ed was able to get the parts ordered and installed fast and at a great price. I'll definitely bring my vehicle back to Alfred auto!

Don't buy anything from this guy. He rigged our vehicle got over $4k out of us and it's been problems since day 1. Unfortunately it's passed his warranty and we don't have a second vehicle. He had the vehicle all boogered up and made it work until his warranty ran up. Not cool at all. Then wanted to charge us to fix something when the warranty wasn't expired yet. Guys a joke. ****Responding to owners comment. Yes for sure right shop. Ed sold us a 98 jeep grand cherokee less then a year ago. First week into owning it water pump took a crap. He then tried saying it was something else. Then rmp was all over the place while driving it. He says "bring it in I'll fix it / look at it" brings it in. He calls back and tells us he can fix it but would charge for labor! Took it home my husband tore it apart saw the water pump was bad so we changed it. Shortly after Ed's warranty runs up, BOOM transmission is shot. Guy gladly got $4k out of us. Actually, even more with taxes ect. *****RESPONDING AGAIN!!! WANT TO MAKE IT RIGHT? GIVE ME A FULL REFUND AND I KEEP THE JEEP! UNTIL THEN I'LL INFORM EVERYONE OF YOUR SCAMS. JUST PAID SOMEONE OVER $3K FOR A NEW TRANSMISSION AND OTHER WORK TO HAVE A RUNNING JEEP AGAIN!! PAID CLOSE TO $10 FOR A JEEP I GOT TO DRIVE MAYBE 6 MONTHS! YOU GUYS ARE JOKE.

College student at Alfred state. Went in for an inspection and all was going fine. Inspection over in 15 mins tops. I failed inspection for a rotten frame to suspension connector which I understand completely, it’s an old car in ny. Two weeks prior I had to replace my water pump and unhooked the battery when doing so. So when I failed for evap and catalyst I was quite surprised and asked what that meant because I did not know. I was then accused of unhooking my battery to clear all of my codes. I responded no I did not do that the last time my battery was unhooked was two weeks ago. He then proceeded to say, word for word, “you don’t have to lie to me buddy”. Absolutely unbelievable. How can you talk to a paying customer like that. I will not be returning here…

Bought a 2003 chevy suburban it made it to arkansas and back the ac fizzled out coming back but no complaints I had to put oil in it about 2 quarts but something to be expected for a 22 yr old vehicle this man delivered and I'm not disappointed check him out.you pay cash get tags and title from him all taken care of.i bought the suburban at 134,000 + mile I put about 2500 miles on it. 5 golden shovels for service honesty and integrity. Eddie is great.

Had a Chevy equinox stuck/sunk in a loose pea gravel road and couldn't get out. I call around 6:30p on a Thursday and got pulled out 30 minutes after I called. Great customer service and very quick. Thanks!

Went in to get one abs tone ring replaced (~$20 part), guy looked at me like I was speaking another language and tried to say I needed a whole new axel to do the job. Took it down the street to Perk's where they did the job no problem.

I messed up doing some work on my car in my garage, called up and he was very friendly and calm with me explaining that there was no need to worry about the problem I caused - phew. Even came with a bag to clean/soak up the mess from the leak I caused and we had only just met. He came and towed my vehicle and had the work done the next day! He is a great friendly guy, very chill, great price for all the work done, and easy to talk with. If my car has any issues in the future, definitely will be my go-to. Thank you for your help!

Great place with awesome service and chill vibes. It's farther than the other auto shops around me in hornell but I trust their work and the atmosphere is far better.

Alfred Auto Center was an incredible service. I couldn't recommend them enough. They arrived and helped me out of a not great situation stranded on the road and helped fix everything. Very trustworthy, reliable, and good prices. Absolutely five stars!

Ed went above and beyond for me and my daughter. We were heading back home to Ohio, didn't even know where we were when we hit bad weather and slid off the road into a ditch. He texted back and forth with me trying to figure out where I was and even when he realized he was a lot further from me than he thought, he kept working to find us and got us out safely.

Drove 85 miles one way to see car. did not even drive car as it had some obvious issues even though I was told that had been checked out by shop and was mechanically excellent. Obvious coolant leak could smell it and oil fill showed that it was mixing water and oil. Wasted 4 hours between drive time afnd waiting while counter person chatted with a friend on the phone as I waited for him. Tossed me the keys said to come back in if I wanted to drive it. When I said I thought it was mixing fluids he said could be. As I had asked specifically about that before I came as this model is known for that issue I was not happy.

Friendly local service center. The owner takes care of both of our vehicles, a Volvo and Prius. We can usually get an appointment within a week of when we realise his attention is required. He is the only person who was able to fix a problem with the Volvo, the solution of which had repeatedly eluded other mechanics where the car was purchased. His location is ideal for us. The owner also has a green thumb! The waiting room is full of his plants, very pleasant!

Ed is my hero truly. When you bring your car here you are leaving it in good hands. Reliable and reasonable costs for repair work, prompt call backs of you leave a voicemail, and he offers towing and lockouts ?. You never think you'll need a tow truck or someone to unlock your car cause you forgot your keys inside. If you do, call Ed!

Drove 7 hours from Massachusetts on a whim to check out a truck listed for sale at Alfred Auto center, and honestly could not have been happier with the purchase. In a world full of sleazy car salesmen i was pleasantly surprised upon meeting the owner. Eddy is awesome, honest, straightforward and actually cares about the quality of the vehicles being sold, all priced very appropriately. Thanks again Ed!

Great little shop to get the car fixed. Always very friendly and polite when explaining to me what’s wrong with my car. The 24 hour towing was super convenient and the price was great. All the services were fairly quick and I got my car back in a timely manner. Waiting room was nice and air conditioned with a big fish tank and plants. All the work was approved by me before anything was done so that I could ensure I only got what I needed and wanted. Overall a really nice shop with a friendly owner.

Would give 6 stars if I could! My van broke down nearby and Ed absolutely went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Thank you Again Ed!

Phonomenal Service, the person was really nice (I forgot his name it’s been a couple of days) he had fixed a stripped windshield wiper for free and only asked for the cost of a replacement windshield. He got it done in what felt like 2 minutes. 5/5 I highly recommend, and they have a new customer if anything (hopefully not) happens to my car!

You can trust him to do good work and be straight forward with you about the condition of the cars he’s selling.
