Wonderful experience. We had brake problems on the day before a big trip. Our mechanic wasn't available. Our friend called Ayers who fit us into their busy schedule and we are so grateful. We rate our experience with them as top-notch.

Very happy with the service provided we have a 20-year-old Miata that developed some problems after bad gas had taken it to another garage. They couldn’t figure it out. Another garage refused to even look. Brought it to Ayers garage and within a couple hours problem solved car running perfectly And the charge for services was incredibly reasonable. Highly recommend this place will be going back.

State inspection performed today by Chris. He performed work my husband didn’t authorize as seen on our receipt where he didn’t sign. Chris said he didn’t need to have written authorization, that he got verbal, though this isn’t documented and I know my husband wouldn’t have authorized as I can perform the work myself. Chris said he’s not the owner and I can call back, I must be calling him a liar. I said yes because I trust my husband more than him. He hung up on me. Very rude and unprofessional. Recommend you look elsewhere for a quality repair shop that will take ownership of and rectify mistakes.

Ayers has been my go-to mechanic for years. I've never encountered a more honest and dependable mechanic. I had to get my oil changed and inspection recently. Dropped off my car Thursday night after close and it was ready by Friday morning!

First time using Ayer’s. They were able to fit me in for a tire alignment before I go back to college and they did a great job. They are reasonably priced too. I recommend.

Dave's team repaired my car door, brakes, & much more - excellent job all around, friendly, efficient, and reasonable. I highly recommend Dave's team if you want your car fixed right the 1st time at a reasonable cost.

Excellent service. I brought my spouse's vehicle in after the dealership tried to convince he that she needed front brakes. They quoted her $700 for the work. The mechanic told me that the vehicle won't need brakes for quite some time. Very honest car repair shop and we respect them for this. This is one reason why we bring our vehicles to this place.

Traveled from VA to Albany area. My A/C went out 40 miles south of Albany. Ayers was booked a week out plus, and thankfully I accepted the date. A planned 7 day stay turned into almost 3 weeks! Felt completely safe leaving my car in their lot the night b4 my apptment. Ayers had my problem (bad compressor) diagnosed and repaired in just under half a day. The guys at Ayers Automotive are great! Was in town on a work trip and our Suburban wasn't starting. They worked us in to their schedule, even though they were already busy, and had the repairs done the next morning. Highly recommend!

I’m not one to normally leave reviews but this shop made the exception. This shop is beyond wonderful! I have a 05 Acura rsx that i have taken to other shops in the past. With bad luck at every other shop, when my car broke down and had to be towed I decided I would try ayers that is conveniently half a mile from my house. They got to my car very quickly and was beyond helpful and thorough! Not only did they find and fix the main problem but was able to fix other problems that other shops couldn’t. All of the people that work there are very helpful, reasonable and friendly. I can’t say enough about this shop! Definitely will be my go to shop from now on!!

Totally reasonable, trustworthy, friendly. I go here from now on and always recommend them. I live close by and love to drop my truck off and walk home with my dog. For as long as they're in business, they will always have mine.

After bringing our car to different "commercial" mechanics and having horrible experiences, we were so pleased to finally find a permanent family mechanic to help us with all our cars needs. Ayers is super efficient and gets all the work done in great time, not to mention they are all super friendly and all services are fairly priced! We will not be bringing our car anywhere else but Ayers!!!

I've been taking my cars to Steve and the team at Ayers Automotive for maybe 2 years now. I've found them to be friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I also think it means something that Steve (the owner) is basically always there. You can tell he really takes pride in and enjoys his business. I think their prices are in line with what you see in this area; around $100/hr labor rate. They seem to always be able to get my car(s) in and out quickly; and the location is super convenient. It's right off the rail trail so I like to drop off my car and walk or bike home. Recently I took a new to me (used) car there and I asked Steve to let me know if there was any work/maintenance/repair that he would recommend even if it wasn't required for inspection. Do you know what he recommended? NOTHING! He said the car was in great shape and didn't recommend anything. Wow. He could have sold me on something I didn't really need, but instead he was just totally honest with me. It's hard to put a price on that. I've had them do brakes, new starter, inspections, replace tires etc. I would highly recommend Ayers Automotive to anyone in the area, or passing through that needs a trustworthy shop they can rely on. Especially given the convenient location, I can't imagine taking my car anywhere else.

Worked with Steve here, these guys are awesome! They gave a fair price, turned the car around much faster than I thought they would. Most important they were honest and communicated the options well. Highly recommend Ayers for anyone needing car service!

I brought my car to Steve Ayers for a routine inspection, and he charged me $22 bucks labor for a $2.50 light bulb... That he didn't even change. I had changed the bulb myself 3 days prior. English is not my first language, so maybe it was my accent that made him think I would not notice. It would be one thing if he actually changed the bulb, but what bulb warrants 22 dollars labor? It took me 2 minutes. If I could post a picture of my bill, I would. I would not go to Ayers Automotive again if he was the last body shop on the planet. I am so shocked to see he has a 4.7 star rating, he must not get many immigrants. Imagine what he'd have charged me if I wanted a big job done.

I have a 2008 Honda Odyssey that needed a timing belt replacement. Liked the reviews for Ayers and called for a quote. The quote was very reasonable and the work was superb. Steve is very trustworthy and takes care of any issues or concerns that the customer might have. I had the tries replaced and while driving home, the TPMS light came on. Brought the van back the next morning and Steve repaired the issue with the TPMS system that afternoon. I highly recommend Ayers Automotive for all of your repairs. It is comforting to find a trustworthy and highly competent automotive repair shop. You will not be disappointed.

I've been coming to gr auto for years while george and galina owned and I absolutely loved them..then i came one day and they were gone..i was skeptical at first with the new owner but they do great work..friendly..fast..and fair. 2/12/19 Took my car in today for a tune up. And as usual the work was done effectively and efficiently with great care. Wasnt to hard on the pocket but good quality work done on your car is priceless. I will continue to do business here and let anyone know that this is a great shop.

Found out they also do oil changes... great prices, quick and willing to work around my schedule! Friendly owner *and mechanics! They were also honest about my air filters! (They didn't need to be replaced). Trustworthy, and reliable estimated time of repair too!

Me and my wife are new in town. When my car started leaking antifreeze i went online an found that Steve had great reviews. I brought my car over and Steve found the problem and fixed it quick and at a decent price. I will be bringing all my vehicles to him in the future.

I recently moved to the Albany area from WNY. As a single female, taking your car to a mechanic is always nerve-racking. How much are they going to take advantage of my wallet this time....Steve and his crew took care of me and my Jeep when my engine light mysteriously popped on and my car was having trouble accelerating. His crew was honest and made sure I was aware of everything before making the decision to get the work done. The price was incredibly fair. I will absolutely be coming back to Steve’s in the future and I would recommend anyone else to do the same!

My friend got a flat tire on our way to Delmar from Glenmont and in our search for a close gas station, auto repair, we ended up at GR and Chris came to take a look. He checked w/his boss - Steve Ayers (owner) who came out and changed my friends' flat tire for free. That was so unexpected and I just want to add my friend said she would start using them for repairs on her car now. Thank you Steve
