They’re super honest, hardworking, and always go out of their way to help me out. You can tell they really care about their customers and take pride in what they do. Monro on 1550 central Ave Niskayuna is the best. I have been there a couple of times great customer service. Justin is wonderful polite, friendly and always explains what is wrong and asked if I have any questions. Very professional staff I would recommend to any one.
I have been to Monro at 1550 central ave, colonie twice in the last 2 months. Justin has been wonderful. All the staff have great costumer service polite, friendly. I can not begin to explain how appreciative I am to Monro Tire customer service, especially their employee Justin who saw that my tire was going flat at the gas station and took time out of his day to help me get it fixed. They truly care about you as a person and don't try to scam you for $$. Will only use them for car servicing from now on!
I got a flat tire and AAA came and replaced it with a donut. The AAA road technician told me not to drive too far or fast on it because it was just a donut. She also gave me the names of a few places to call to get a new tire, so I called Monro on 1550 Central Ave because it was nearby. I called and spoke to Brandon Blanchard, who was so nice and told me to “come on over,” so I did. He and his co-worker installed two new tires for me, aligned them, and also did a brief inspection. They discovered I was dangerously low on oil, so they also replaced my oil, all for a reasonable price. They were both so nice and helpful. I will definitely be returning!
The staff is very friendly but my experience wasn’t the best . Went for an inspection, had issues , repaired and sent out on the road . Still hasn’t passed due to 2 monitors not complete but was told to drive it and they will run . Been 6000 miles and still hasn’t passed due the same issue . Now this has almost 3 months and it’s still not ready . The first location couldn’t diagnose due to their computer being stolen so they sent me to another location and dropped off on a Sunday morning. Never heard from them so I went at 5 o’clock (closing) to pick it up and was told to come back later . Went at 7 o’clock to get it and they hadn’t even looked at it . Was told to come back the next week and they would get it in . Not for nothing but what do I have to ask for to get the car inspected . I Have 0 check engine lights . Great people to deal with just not fixing the issue
Huge shout out to Justin, I came in, in a panic needing all new tires for a 3 hour drive the next day. He got me what I needed, was extremely helpful and very friendly. Couldn’t ask for a better experience! 10/10 ask for Justin!!
I dropped my car off first thing in the morning as I was told the day before. I didn’t receive a phone call all day about my car. So at 5pm I called for him to tell me that they were just pulling my car into the garage. I let him know I get off of work at 6 and he said no problem. I get there at 610 and my car is still outside. The man said they never even looked at it let alone fix it. He was very rude and nasty and then the mechanic who was a heavier set guy came out even more ruder than the manager and told me to take my car and get out. Upon driving home I had no control of my vehicle and I had no choice to pull over because my wheel bearing broke which I was there at your company to get fixed. Also when I told the manager I was going to write a letter he said I don’t know why it’s not going to do anything for you. I’m very disappointed in your company and I will never return to get service there. So now I can’t even fix my car because I had to have it towed and it now has more damage.
I can’t say enough good things about my experience with manager of Colonie Monro, Brandon Blanchard! Exceptional customer service, excellent communication, and went above and beyond with explaining everything. It’s obvious he cares about his customers and their safety & experience with his business. I had an oil change, my rear lights and covers changed, and an inspection. All the work came out fabulous, with exceptionally reasonable pricing compared to competitors in the Capital region. I will absolutely continue to work w Brandon moving forward when it comes to my car and any future cars. Cannot recommend him & this location enough! Thank you Brandon!
Don’t go here, they completely misdiagnosed my car, and sold me a battery when I just got it changed last year. After requesting my old battery, I went and got it checked at multiple different locations and they all said my battery was fine, there was no need to change it. And they were completely opposed to any kind of refund for the misdiagnosis. Go somewhere else for your car
This Monro is the Best of them All. They were very busy, but didn’t turn me away. I needed my tires rotated, I was leaving town and I wanted to be safe. Brandon Blanchard made a few phone calls and made things happen.

My truck needed rear brakes and rotors. I was panicking about how much I was going to pay, but the manager was very nice and helpful with pricing and only sold me what I needed. I just left from Monroe Tire after getting an oil change & although it was just Justin & one other guy (and it was his first day at that shop), the service was speedy. I was also due to get an inspection but when my appt got rescheduled they were not aware the inspector wasn’t there on Sundays, (no fault on their end truly). Justin easily scheduled me in for one the following day. I continue to go to this location because even short staffed, I receive adequate and efficient service. I do recommend making an appt though because the amount of walk-ins can be unpredictable!

Went in for an oil change and during their inspection they found a number of other things that needed to be fixed. Was skeptical at first but they walked me through each item with pictures of the broken part and measures to show what it should be out. When I wanted to decline some things that were non-urgent they did not pressure me at all. Very accommodating, very good on price, very good shop. Brandon and Justin are amazing. Brandon took time out of his day to notice we needed new tires at a separate business when we were shopping. He gave us his card and said give us a call and we will help you out. The service was quick and customer service excellent. They noticed that the tire rods were not in great shape and even drove me home while they fixed the repair. I will only be doing my car service here from now on. It is hard to find honest and reliable car service and these guys are great.

Manager does a great job over there so does the workers they were able to take care of my car when I need an oil change and a quick inspection great workers. Definitely send your car over there if you need work done. Just left there today the manager over there Brandon always looks out for me absolutely love this location if you have anything wrong with your vehicle and you have available workers this is the place to go. Just got back again from Brandon over at Colony Monroe great guy love going there anytime I have a problem with my car I always get it taken care of one of the best spots in all of Albany and Colony thank you again for all the help you guys do.
Made an online appointment the day before and as soon as I got there they had my car on the lift and diagnosed the problem. The manager Brandon Blanchard walked me through the entire list of what needed to be done and was able to make it more affordable for me. They were able to have it taken care of by days end and get me back on the road in perfect working order. I would recommend this location to anyone who needs automotive work done in the Albany area. Overall great dealing with the entire staff at Monro.
Staff are personable, knowledgeable, respectful, accessible and genuinely eager to help. They show you at your car what needs to be done (and what doesn't) and why. They try to cut costs for you and price shop for tires for you. The customer service far exceeds any experience I’ve had at a dealer where often no one picks up the phone, and you’re left hanging, hoping for a timely call back that never comes. Slip the dealer unless you’ve got a warranty.
Back about a month ago, I needed a new tire after running over an utility pin. I had a warranty through Mr. Tire down the road but they were closed that day to an emergency and directed customers to Monro instead. When I arrived at Monro, I let Justin know the situation and that I ideally needed a new tire that day as it was Sunday and I was off from work. Covering for Mr. Tire and being short staffed himself, he said he could help me but that it may be some time before he could get to me. I waited until he was finished with other customers (he kept me updated on his timeline during this time) and eventually we drove down to Mr. Tire to pick up the tire and apply my warranty. He then quickly got the tire on my car and I was on my way! I really appreciated his help and communication skills to keep me up to breath on what his schedule was looking like. Only waited a few hours all said and done. He could've easily told me he didn't have time for me, but made a point to go above and beyond! Thanks Justin!
Great service shop! They were very busy when I walked in but Justin found time to call all over Albany to find the parts needed for my vehicle. As soon as they arrived (which was quickly), they had them on the car and me on my way. Brandon and Justin were awesome, very knowledgeable team. Matt (mechanic who worked on my car) was excellent as well and got my brakes working tip top. These guys know their stuff! Would highly recommend. Not all shops are equal. Great work guys!

I’ve been coming to this Monro location for years, and Brandon B and Justin S consistently deliver outstanding customer service. Most recently, I brought my car in with a damaged tire and worn-out brakes. They took the time to inspect each tire individually and clearly walked me through all my options. Their advice was thorough, honest, and showed just how knowledgeable they are.
They truly went above and beyond to make sure I got the best deal and that everything was completed in a timely manner. After searching around for a trustworthy auto shop, it’s a huge relief to have Brandon and Justin who I know I can rely on. Highly recommend checking them out!
