I needed my window wipers switch replaced badly! I went here and Justin was so sweet and attentive! I definitely paid more then what I was planning but it was dangerous to delay getting them done.. Justin was communicating with me through the process. Highly recommend! Good customer service

Brought my truck in for a simple sensor swap. I had a cooling fan that wouldn’t turn off. Should have been a one day job. Two days max if they didn’t have the part. They strung me along for two weeks. It turns out one of the sensors threads into the engine block on my truck. They broke the engine block during repair. Damage was catastrophic and I needed a whole engine replacement. It would have been nice if they were transparent about that with me, but I had to bring my truck to An independent master technician to figure that out, and then back to the dealership where it was ultimately repaired on their insurance companies time. They turned $1000 sensor swap into a $17,000 engine replacement. And get this, once my new engine was installed, the dealership took my truck for a test drive. The PCV valve blew. Monroe Must have realized it was broken during their repair and instead of replacing it, they tried the JB welded it back together. As if that was not bad enough, the PCV valve is supposed to allow pressure to release through the valve. They JB welded it shut. So when the dealership test drove the vehicle, the pressure had nowhere to go and it blew. From early November to mid January I was without my truck while all this nonsense got rectified. Paying for rentals out of my pocket, tow truck charges, Diag from master technicians. All during the holidays, absolute hacks, take your business elsewhere. This place should be closed down.

Justin and the team at Monro are amazing! Being new to the area, I was nervous about finding a place I could trust, but there is no doubt, these folks go above and beyond. Came in today with a flat tire and they fixed me up within an hour. Kind people, incredible service!

All three guys working…friendly staff helped me out in an emergency. My wife had a flat tire bringing my daughter back to college. We hobbled there. He got it on for a plug. Noticed the tire wore on the rim and recommended a tire replacement and gave me a good price and did it right away. Very nice. Very quick. Price is price but service is what made it above and beyond.

I was not serviced due to trying to use my warranty service to cover the expense of my repair for a wheel bearing replacement. Brenden lied to me said it was the transmission. I took my vehicle to another repair facility out of my warranty network to confirm it was the wheel bearing. I should have drove off once I head his negative comments about silver rock, but I was desperate need of the vehicle to be fixed. Also when I asked how did he diagnosed if it was a transmission issue. He replied he couldn’t because it’s a sealed transmission. How does anyone turn away business because they don’t want to deal with the long process is beyond me.

Amazing customer service from Brandon and Justin, they were able to squeeze me right in at the end of the day on short notice. They really helped me out a ton and I will definitely be bringing my car back into them whenever I need service!

I called last minute for an expired vehicle inspection, and Brandon said come on in we could do that inspection today. Without hesitation, he asked me what time would you like to come in, and I said first thing Saturday morning. He says I'll be here at 7:00 I got there at 7:30 he got me in and out. His assistant Chet, was a great help also.

First of all I can't tell you how happy I am what does service receive from Justin Schreiner. He was kind courteous explain everything to me period and for my safety I ended up getting two tires per his recommendation. It might I add he was here on the Sunday before Christmas by himself. He went above and beyond the store was clean he was friendly and he was Grace Under Pressure. He will be the reason I go back. 1/4/2026 UPDATE went again today. JUSTIN ALONE again today but was as pleasant and knowledgeable as ever . Would like the DM to get ahold of me . This shop is running well because of JUSTIN. 2nd time there and same great service 5 stars again.

The service I received at Monroe Auto and tire center was excellent! The Assistant Manager Justin S. took the time to ho over everything I needed, explained everything in detail and even took the time to try to find me discounts I could use. Very knowledgeable, friendly and over and beyond the service I have received else. Kudos to the entire crew! You do an excellent job!

I had a wonderful experience getting my car serviced at Monroe. They were able to fit me in for a same day appointment and the staff was very friendly and pleasant to work with. Justin was very helpful and an absolute delight. I will be returning for any other auto service I need.

Made an appointment for an oil change in tire rotation. Was there about two hours. Also asked them to check the battery.. They told me I needed a new battery and rear brake pads which I knew about the rear brake pads. I had just gotten a new battery in June so funny they were saying I needed a new battery. Waiting two hours for an oil change and tire rotation is unacceptable. I had an appointment. I don’t think they took me on time. Other people came in after me and left before me and they try to rip me off by saying I need a new battery that was only Six months old.

Justin was amazing. He squeezed me in at the end of the day and didn't charge any crazy outrageous fees to replace the battery (that they blessedly had in stock) and do an inspection. He told me how to get the car registered online, gave recommendations for other car needs, and was very helpful and patient overall. I cannot say enough how grateful I am! Thanks you!!

Had an issue with my window not closing, called Monro and they had me come right over. Justin was very helpful, kind, and patient. I truly appreciated the time he took with me, especially since I didnt have an appointment. Justin even taped the window for me until it gets fixed so I wouldn't be cold. Stellar customer care. I called to see if I can been seen today to check battery. Brandon was very welcoming and informed me to come now and he will have it checked. Brandon was able to check my car as soon as I got there and informed me my battery needs to be replaced. I’m grateful of the customer service and immediate check on my car. I always can depend on the colonie location to see me when I call and help repair any issue to my car. Brandon and the rest of the guys are angel sent to colonie.

I ended up here by accident but divinely timed. Brandon and Justin handled my error in giving me above and beyond what I expected or imagined. As I'm covered by SilverRock thanks to a Carvana car (do not recommend) I had 4 shoppes in the area to chose from. I chose one on Central Ave, but ended up at this one by a fluke. So glad that I did! These gentlemen provide respectful, urgent, mindful customer service. They ask, listen, and provide what you need by being proactive in meeting your possible needs even before they are expressed! Their shop at this time of year is festive. They provide a clean, comfortable, and joyful environment. They provide snacks. They accommodated a gentleman in a wheelchair in my midst with dignity and respect. All were treated like loyal customers in this place, even one who had to stay the night due to a tire blow from at least 4 hours away. They know their stuff. They are professional and efficient, and they charge a beyond fair price for red carpet, royalty treatment. Thank you! You were worth the tip from East Greenbush and I will be making it again for the simple to the complex...whatever comes my way thanks to your first impression. God bless!

I call the store and spoke to the Manager Brandon about getting new tires on and he was exceptional with his response and got me in immediately. He suggested getting a wheel alignment done and it was the best suggestion there was.
The environment was very clean and smell fresh as daisy.

I had a great experience at Monro on Central Ave. Brandon, the manager oversaw my inspection and the work that had to be done to insure that my Mazda passed. He went above and beyond the call and even drove me home because the work went later than expected. I cannot say enough words of praise and highly recommend to all!!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Team does good work. Unfortunately they are ungodly slow at doing it. Took 4 hours to do what should have been an hour to 90 minutes tops. Was first appointment in the morning. Took forever to pull the car in. Then once it was on the lift it sat there for about 2 hours before they did much to it. They appear to be down in tech’s but it didn’t seem to be what was holding work to be completed on my car. Second time I have been in and simple service took much longer then it should have.

Brandon and Justin are seriously the best. I’ve been coming to this Monro for years and I completely trust them with my car. They’re super honest, hardworking, and always go out of their way to help me out. You can tell they really care about their customers and take pride in what they do. They deserve way more credit for how much effort they put in. Couldn’t recommend them enough.

I have been to Monro at 1550 central ave, colonie twice in the last 2 months. Justin has been wonderful. All the staff have great costumer service polite, friendly. Justin has explained to me threw out the process what was being done and if I had any questions to the work that was done on my car. I will be going to this Monro for my car needs. Ask for Justin great customer service.

I got a flat tire and AAA came and replaced it with a donut. The AAA road technician told me not to drive too far or fast on it because it was just a donut. She also gave me the names of a few places to call to get a new tire, so I called Monro on 1550 Central Ave because it was nearby. I called and spoke to Brandon Blanchard, who was so nice and told me to “come on over,” so I did. He and his co-worker installed two new tires for me, aligned them, and also did a brief inspection. They discovered I was dangerously low on oil, so they also replaced my oil, all for a reasonable price. They were both so nice and helpful. I will definitely be returning!

The staff is very friendly but my experience wasn’t the best . Went for an inspection, had issues , repaired and sent out on the road . Still hasn’t passed due to 2 monitors not complete but was told to drive it and they will run . Been 6000 miles and still hasn’t passed due the same issue . Now this has almost 3 months and it’s still not ready . The first location couldn’t diagnose due to their computer being stolen so they sent me to another location and dropped off on a Sunday morning. Never heard from them so I went at 5 o’clock (closing) to pick it up and was told to come back later . Went at 7 o’clock to get it and they hadn’t even looked at it . Was told to come back the next week and they would get it in . Not for nothing but what do I have to ask for to get the car inspected . I Have 0 check engine lights . Great people to deal with just not fixing the issue

I dropped my car off first thing in the morning as I was told the day before. I didn’t receive a phone call all day about my car. So at 5pm I called for him to tell me that they were just pulling my car into the garage. I let him know I get off of work at 6 and he said no problem. I get there at 610 and my car is still outside. The man said they never even looked at it let alone fix it. He was very rude and nasty and then the mechanic who was a heavier set guy came out even more ruder than the manager and told me to take my car and get out. Upon driving home I had no control of my vehicle and I had no choice to pull over because my wheel bearing broke which I was there at your company to get fixed. Also when I told the manager I was going to write a letter he said I don’t know why it’s not going to do anything for you. I’m very disappointed in your company and I will never return to get service there. So now I can’t even fix my car because I had to have it towed and it now has more damage.

I can’t say enough good things about my experience with manager of Colonie Monro, Brandon Blanchard! Exceptional customer service, excellent communication, and went above and beyond with explaining everything. It’s obvious he cares about his customers and their safety & experience with his business. I had an oil change, my rear lights and covers changed, and an inspection. All the work came out fabulous, with exceptionally reasonable pricing compared to competitors in the Capital region. I will absolutely continue to work w Brandon moving forward when it comes to my car and any future cars. Cannot recommend him & this location enough! Thank you Brandon!

My truck needed rear brakes and rotors. I was panicking about how much I was going to pay, but the manager was very nice and helpful with pricing and only sold me what I needed. He and His staff are knowledgeable and friendly. They are committed to their customers and it shows. I will definitely return for service in the future! Great job Brandon and your team!

I just left from Monroe Tire after getting an oil change & although it was just Justin & one other guy (and it was his first day at that shop), the service was speedy. I was also due to get an inspection but when my appt got rescheduled they were not aware the inspector wasn’t there on Sundays, (no fault on their end truly). Justin easily scheduled me in for one the following day. I continue to go to this location because even short staffed, I receive adequate and efficient service. I do recommend making an appt though because the amount of walk-ins can be unpredictable!

Went in for an oil change and during their inspection they found a number of other things that needed to be fixed. Was skeptical at first but they walked me through each item with pictures of the broken part and measures to show what it should be out. When I wanted to decline some things that were non-urgent they did not pressure me at all. Very accommodating, very good on price, very good shop. Special shout out to the store manager Brandon and Justin for going above and beyond!

We worked with Justin this weekend and I am so glad we did. Not only did I puncture my tire with a massive screw, but it turns out I was having issues because of the incorrect tires I had on my car. Justin was knowledgeable, kind and helped us even more than we asked for. This guy deserves a week off and a pay bump. Thanks again Justin for making my car safe for the whole family.
