The residential drop off how's are incorrect on the town website.
I arrived before 2 was told I couldn't drop off a full size bed I had broken down.
Also they only accept and it's 6 dollars with no $20 dollars bills for 10 AM.
Very efficient. The woman who works at the gate is very kind and professional. Never a really long wait. She’s knowledgeable and helpful. The man who operates the tractor is pleasant and efficient. In and out… also the smell isn’t as bad as most.
DON'T GO TO THIS PLACE. CHARGED ME A MINIMUM OF 61.20 FOR 240 LBS OF DEBRIS, AND I DIDNT EVEN TOSS ALL THAT I HAD. IS THIS THE CORRECT MINIMUM PRICING. AT 260 A TON A MINIMUM OF 61.20 IS DEFINITELY PRICE GAUGING. How bothering and disturbing. I feel ripped off. The department of weights and measures should check this place out. Plus they have vehicles with debris hanging off on the under side. They should use part of the 61.20 to make sure there fire suppression is correct
As a contractor we go there several times a week. They are organized, efficient and friendly. The loaders do a great job especially with all the product that they have to move on a daily basis.
Very well run, employees are informing, accommodating and polite. Here’s where you loose three stars. I brought some of my remolding demo stuff there the other day. While unloading in the building I observed a pickup truck loaded with cardboard furniture packing dumping next to me and mixing it in with everything else.
Why am I diligently recycling cardboard and plastic to an extreme when you mix recycling materials in with everything else???

Why do I have to prove every time that my address belongs to Colonie?. Please give your employees all the necessary information about which addresses and streets belong to our region.
One of the employees ( woman) is very rude.
Staff is friendly and they get you in and out, I've been there with many trucks ahead of me and maybe ten minutes is the longest I've ever waited to dump my demolition materials.
One of the staff in the household dumpster was so rude! Tax payers don’t deserve to treat like a criminal! Her name is Kathy she was so rude know your job be nice to people, we’re not there for free we’re paying what we need to pay.
I go here to recycle things since I don't have the service where I live. It was super easy and the staff was awesome! I am quick to take issue with bad customer service since I worked in the service industry for a few decades. You have to remember that they deal with nice people and they deal with people who use such opportunities to vent anger from unrelated issues. It's not easy at times. One issue though and hopefully my sugggested edit is updated, but the address is wrong. ADDRESS IS: 4 ARROWHEAD LANE (different address not far from where original was). On a positive note, I called to inquire about correct location since it was 10 minutes before closing and they answered on the second ring! How many places actually answer their phone these days? Not many (and i get it since the short staffed locations need to focus on the customers that are present).
Awesome service, fun to go there. One person complained that the dump was only open 7-12 when the website said 7-2.. should have gotten up earlier instead of waking up at the crack of noon to go to the dump on a Saturday
Horrible service. I arrived at 2:48pm and they couldn't help me. Said they were closed. Clearly they do not close at 3. When I asked about the hours they said the sign says they close at 2:45pm. I have not seen that sign or anything related to that comment anywhere on the property or website. I was clearly upset and the answer i recieved was , " Well, you know we are like banks. If we close at 3 we shut down 15 mins before." Really? I have NEVER seen a bank lock up before closing. Ridiculous
Business hours and the entrance location appears to be off for the listing. Hours issues seem to happen often based on the comments. The dumping process is relatively seamless when you manage to find the place, and it's open.

This place is the biggest joke management very rude half employee don’t do anything but make it hard for a hard working tax paying citizen to drop off debris. Get there at 2:55 pm and the guy says we close at 3 and closes the gate on me. Says come back another day.
New Layout different entrance on Mustang Drive for residential waste. Big items like furniture, appliances, brush, trailers,here to go to the scale on Loudon Road.
Sane thing. Website says open till 2 on Saturday. Closed at 12. So I wait until today (Monday) and go back. 2200 pounds of regular household trash cost 169. Outragous
Online says you’re open until 4...I arrived at 2:58 and was denied access to dump because you close at 3.

So I go to your website to see your business hours on Saturday. It’s says 7am to 2 pm. I load up my truck to get rid of my stuff. I drive there and the sign says effective October 1st,2018 hours for Saturday our 7 am to noon. While I typed this three other people pulled up to get rid of their garbage. I asked all of them, they said the WEBSITE SAID 7 to 2. FIX IT!!!! How many residents have driven here on a Saturday to only find it’s closed. The internet is probably here to stay maybe you could keep the website updated!!!
They never answer the phone went there 2 times just to go back home Google says closed at 4 but the locked gates at 235 on Friday said different now the hours say till 2 today but no one's answering the phone do I waste my gas and go look or keep calling this number that keeps ringing over and over thanks colonie dump
Awesome experience! The girl at the weight area was super friendly. The customer service received from her deserves unlimited stars. Made two trips on the same day. Very neat and organized facility . All the staff were friendly but she was exceptional. Her name was Julie / Julienne i believe...
Should update hours posted on google when you change hours at the landfill. I drove all the way up to throw Christmas garbage away because it says you are open until 2 on Saturday, got to the landfill gate and apparently the Saturday hours were changed to 7-12 in October. It’s now the end of December, I feel it wouldn’t have been that difficult to change online by now. Ridiculous.
Been going there for years. For what they do, they do a good job. Noticed on a number of occasions that Google has wrong hours. The hours are 7 am-3 pm Monday-Friday. 7-noon on Saturdays.
Dirty, crumby thing to be doing, but the ultra friendly young woman at the weigh in station is so endearing that you look forward to your meetings! Try not to be squeezing in just before quitting time :) or you face some light hearted ribbing. Lol
We went to your landfill after looking at your website and it said you were open until 5 pm. It turns out you haven't updated your website and you actually close at 3 pm. I have a 70 year old grandmother who lives alone and waited for me to come up to her house to unload a demolition project. She can't do this without me and this was the only time I could come up. Fix the damn website.
