We came in the shop first opened because our alternator had went out. The people were very friendly and placed an order for the part. They said the part would arrive by noon. They called me at 12:15 and the truck was already fixed. They even gave me a ride to the hotel and were willing to pick me back up, when the vehicle was complete. Top-notch service!
We broke down in Clayton a few hours ago on our way to see family in Co. while they didn’t have the parts to help us, they referred us to a place in the closest town, gave us a tow truck number and called a shuttle to arrange for us to be transported to the dealership. They went above and beyond for us and we are forever grateful!
Me, my husband, and our two sons (2 yrs old & 3 yrs old) were traveling to Colorado when we started having car trouble and broke down in Clayton, NM. Mr. McClure and his wife were so amazing. They exhausted every possible option for us. They called around to every dealership, car shop, U-Haul, car rental, etc helping us out. They made our boys comfortable in their shop and were so patient with them. The way they treated my family speaks volumes about their character. I can’t say enough great things about McClure’s. We are so lucky to have found them.
On April 9th me & my husband were on our way to Colorado to visit our daughter, son in law & grandkids when we had car trouble we stopped at McClure’s & they immediately came to our help they stay open late for us so they can put a rush on the part that our car needed & making sure it would be delivered the next day. They were the nicest people we ever met, they pointed out to a nice hotel we could stay the night & a nice restaurant for dinner. We would definitely recommend anyone that needs help on their car to stop by McClure’s. We truly appreciate them so much!
Had an issue 20 min away pop up om our car on our way home. The beginning of a long drive back to Texas. We pulled in they checked it out and got us fixed and back on the road in no time. Every one was kind and helpful. So Thankful for coming across this gem of a shop.
I'm a truck driver traveling through town when I had my water pump crack. Carquest helped me tremendously over the phone to get my part ordered. They called me as soon as it came in. I went and picked it up and went to my hotel to fix it but I forgot a few things I needed. I called back up there and the owner herself delivered those items to me. This is what I love about small towns. Helpful, find and willing to go out of their way to help. Thank you so much for helping us get back on the road.
Our truck broke down on our way from South Dakota to Texas. So incredibly thankful for this shop! They got it diagnosed, estimated and fixed within 6 hours.
Driving thru Clayton and air compressor froze which broke the serpentine belt. They quoted me $375 and insisted that a bypass pully be installed. The obvious quick and inexpensive fix was to just install a shorter serpentine belt so I could get back on the road and I told them that I wanted to do this after staying the night in their town. Next morning I drove too Raton , Co Autozone and got the shorter belt and drove back two hours and fixed it in two minutes and cost $25 dollars. These people showed no small town hospitality and I would avoid this place for they are not nice and friendly people like a small town should have.
We stopped in unexpectedly on our way home to Dallas, TX from Angel Fire, NM. Our break caliber pins came out and we were in need of help. When we pulled in to Big J's. Jake and Earla treated us like someone they have known forever. They took the best care of us and made sure we were safe to get back on the road. They didn't have the exact part we needed and she called everyone around trying to find it. We finally got something to work and Jake fixed it quick and effiently. We are so grateful to have found nice and honest people such as Jake and Earla. Thank you for all your hard work to help get us home safety.
