I called this place looking for a new rear axel. Talked to a guy name NOAH. we agreed on a price for a new axel. He said "yes i can order you a new axel we dont have one here in stock, just need a deposit. the new one will be complete from drum to drum". Its been a week I called left messages for NOAH. no call back or call from anyone. Called back and another guy working said it was here. He Transferred call to NOAH, no answer left a voice mail, no return calls. Until Monday morning. We got the call to say the axel was ready for pick up. Drove 2hrs to find out it was a used axel. Not complete "from drum to drum"
Talked to NOAH ,he denied everything saying it was gona be a new axel. He said "you wana go back to the phone call recording". I said "yes lets do it then". He ran to his managers office like a little you know what. He was in the managers office for few minutes. Came out said we can refund you $400 dollars. Thats half the price. If they rip you off dont go back there in argue with them. Instead call head quarters and file your complaint. I bet they be ripping people off like this for years. Just read the reviews. They not doing good business with locals. Just think how many Natives they rip off each day. We are gona dispute this with our bank and head quarters. Guaranteed will get our money back. Thats what banks and lawyers are for.
Stay away form highway 64 salvage in Farmington new mexico.
Called for a used engine. Was told they had a excellent used & running engine with 120k miles. They said 4days wait time but i waited over a week and when I finally came to pick it up the engine looked like it sat in the elements for years. Heavily rusted everywhere and heavy oxidation. Upon tearing apart the engine the camshaft was useless. They like to cut wires, hoses, lines for EVERYTHING. Quit being lazy and just disconnect the plugs! Dont buy parts from here poor workmanship at removing. Better off removing myself like they use to back in the day!
Also known as b&r now I called was on hold for 10 minutes and the moment the gentleman answered the phone I asked if they had a part in stock and instead of saying no or yes he just hung up tried to can back answered the phone and immediately hung up very disappointed
This was hands down the worst experience I’ve had at any place. I went in for a spare tire, and the front counter staff were incredibly rude—not just to me, but to every customer who called in while I was there. Calls were either ignored or answered only to be put on hold for no reason. It was clear they didn’t care.
I was told they had the spare tire I needed, so I paid and waited… for over an hour. Then I was told they actually didn’t have it at all. No apology, no accountability—just a complete waste of time and money.
I honestly don’t understand how this place stays in business. I would strongly recommend going anywhere else.
DO NOT waste your time on this company. Whoever answers the phone seems to think it's his job to do just that. Apparently they deal in auto parts but they refuse to talk to anyone about that and just transfer you to an answer phone that nobody answers. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere.
I've dealt with many auto parts and junk yards before but this was the worst experience I've ever had in my life. I called and paid ahead for over $539.00 and the guy Kade seemed like an amazing worker but when I called the next day he stated the product was ready and i came from across town expecting to pick up my parts because he stated they were in. I gladly went there to find out there's no parts available, he didn't read the fine print and I ended up leaving in frustration and got a full refund but I was told my refund would come back to my card within 2 to 4 business days and it's been over 7 business days and no refund so be cautious using them for your auto parts needs because you might end up in a law suit over them not being able to refund you. They were rude and didn't even give me a chance to talk and I will never recommend them to anyone because how terrible the service has been. Use them at your own caution if your using a card they might take your money and give you hell for trying to get a refund. But i will never recommend them for as long as I live for the crappy service and terrible accounting.
Do not do business with Chad at highway 64. Husband purchased a Cummins remanufactured engine. Engine was bad and has blow by with less than 500 miles. Engine comes with warranty, started the process 1/21 and can’t get Chad to return text, calls, or emails. Almost 2 months with no communication. Waste of 6,500 for motor and another $3,000 for install. Horrible customer service. Unfortunately, money is going to have to be spent hiring an attorney to make this situation right.
I bought parts and was told they would deliver even though I was over in the next town. When I asked, I was told they would deliver to my town two times a week. Three weeks later, after several phone calls and with the last call being informed that it would be better fornme to come and pick up parts myself because "delivery was a mess," I took the trip only to find one of the parts was wrong and I had to wait to have them get the right part. No apology or attempt to make things right for wasting time and for fuel to go there. It seems to be an organized operation, but I won't be doing business there anytime soon.
Never dealing with these prejudice so call ppl. I wouldn't recommend to anyone. Customer communication is bad, had to wait 2 weeks to get our part. They told us 3 days and wound up 2 weeks later to make it worse the part is not working right.
I was referred to the owner Chad of highway 64 truck and auto by a family member. I needed an engine in my 2017 kia optima.i couldn't get anyone in the Gallup area to work on it. Chad had no problem at all taking it in. He told me it would be at least 2 weeks. My kia was done in less then a week, he found me the exact motor with low mileage. He also detailed my car for a great price compared to other detail shops and the work was excellent. I drove my car back to Gallup and it ran like new. Everything worked, no engine lights, no service soon light. The engine was spotless, like it was from the factory. Not a wire or connector or of place. His mechanics did an excellent job at half the cost an albuquerque dealer quoted me and was completed in a week. Now this is excellent customer service which is rare these days. Don't waste your time with other shops and dealers. Go to highway 64 auto first and save time and money.
Great team here. Everyone here is very hospitable and would let me know every time I called what was going on with the part. I like that the part was cheaper because of core exchange. First time I've done that and I had a great experience with these guys. Am going to come back.
Their parts pricing appears unreasonable, and I would caution against purchasing vehicles or components from them due to concerns about exploitative practices. They allegedly remove desirable parts, install used ones, and then double the price of those parts, which are already compromised.
I recently purchased a part that is extremely hard to find due to my car being obsolete and parts not made for it any longer from HWY 64 Salvage. I worked with a fellow named Chad who went well beyond what most would to help me out. The part took 3 weeks to arrive and boy was I surprised at the quality of the part, you simply could not ask for a used part to be in any better shape than the one I received. A week after receiving the part I found I would need all new bolts to install it unfortunately the manufacturer don't even make them anymore, I was out of luck. I took a chance on contacting HWY 64 Salvage again to see if they might still have the bolts they removed so I could purchase them. Chad from HWY 64 contacted me and told me he had the bolts and would ship them to me at not cost! All I can say is there are still a few very nice and good people out there and Cad is one of them. You can trust HWY 64 Salvage to take care of your needs.

Got them to pickup my toyota small pickup. They gave me money then found a part I had been looking for a long to fix my tailgate on my takoma pickup. Busy place but got me fixed up! Friendly and accommodating staff I highly recommend then. Will use the again!!!!! JOHN HANN.

Just wanted to briefly sing the praises of Hwy 64 Truck and Auto Salvage in Farmington, New Mexico. I needed a motor for my Nissan and not only did they have several to choose from, they had the best price nationwide by over $1,000. I mistakenly wired them $15,000 instead of $1,500 and the owner called me immediately advising me of my error and he mailed me a check for $13,500 that same day. I received his check 3 days later and felt a huge sigh of relief (just unbelievable). Sooo, if you are looking for integrity, honesty and quality, look no further than HWY 64 Salvage in Farmington, N.M..... and BTW, they ship nationwide at bargain rates...... tell them that John Harris sent you !
These guys are awesome! While traveling from NM to TN I had an axle issue with my tow vehicle and to add insult to injury I hit a deer totalling the front of my vehicle. With these guys help I was able to rebuild the entire front of the van and get the parts I needed to fix the axle. I was in a very bad situation and they treated me wonderfully, even working with me to get the parts to where I was doing the work. These people are simply good and decent human beings doing what they could to help a person in need. Absolutely recommend this place. Thanks you so much guys!
This is an amazing operation. They have acres and acres of parts and know where everything is and what's a fair price for it. People come from many miles around to repair their vehicles using this resource.
They also perform repairs. After a local dealership quoted almost $16,000 for work on my truck, these guys got it back on the road for under $2,000. And really, they didn't take any shortcuts. Even the dealership acknowledged the validity of their approach, and that they often collaborate.
Chad, the owner, appears to regard service to the community as a key to success. And his staff reflects this.
The person who was supposed to install my front windshield rescheduled and told me to come back the next day. When they put the window in they use duct tape instead of normal blue scotch tape they told me not to remove it for 24 hours when I removed it it removed some of my paint on top of that it left a significant amount of adhesive. I do not recommend getting your windshield replaced here pay the extra money to have it done by someone who cares Chad does not care nor do any of his associates.
Fantastic guys up front will help you get all you need. If they don't have it ready, they gave an accurate time plan to come back and pick up the parts. They also detailed exactly what you were getting from the high-quality vehicle photos on their computers. They also worked on the price with me when one of the parts they had had more wear than anticipated
Purchased driveshaft and it has vibration they tried to find another and then said they would refund my money. I’ve tried calling and emailing and nobody is responding. Very disappointing going to give them another day to respond then off to the Better Business Bureau. Don’t usually have any problems with used parts but this was a huge disappointment

I worked solely with Jace and was very impressed with his pleasant demeanor and was surprised and pleased with his willingness to replace a less than satisfactory sun visor for my 2008 Ford Ranger that he sent me with another at no extra cost and within 2 days. He'll be my go-to-guy if I need used parts in the future. If he'd found the better one first, I'd have given him 5 stars
Everyone here is knowledgeable and helpful. Customer service is top notch. Bought a set of used seats for my work truck, not only were they in great shape, the price paid was completely more than fair. I'll always return here first for any of my automotive parts. Great job over there guys!
Took nearly 2 days to pull a Rack and Pinion for my vehicle. I pulled my in 36 mins exact. They get so much business from locals including the indigenous communities to hiring a staff to handle the load. Their excuse is always " We short on staff".... they never answer the phone. Last they charged my card without authorization, they never called me back on it. Went in to see what was going on but the payment dept. Or personal there said they couldn't do anything about it. Only to credit me towards my next purchase, which is never going to happen again.
I can't in good faith recommend Highway 64 after the ordeal they've put me through. I'm sure if you walk in it's perfectly fine but think twice about getting a part shipped to you..
I paid for 2-day shipping--almost a week ago. So I call them and they said without apology that they didn't put my house number on the address and it's just been stuck sitting in a warehouse.
Today, another 2 days later and it's still not here.
At this point I don't even need the part, but I ask if they'd at least make this whole headache worth my time and pay back the difference of normal shipping and 2 day shipping..said they'd have someone call me but of course nobody did.
I don't write reviews but this was wildly unprofessional.

The BEST junkyard in the Four Corners!!! Worked with Dwayne to find a Nissan Titan door. Wasn't able to find the exact color, but I was able to buy several parts for CHEAP I needed to get the repair done right. The yard crew was very helpful and went out of their way to show me several things. This is the largest junkyard I've ever seen! They have just about ever year/make/model and color of car/truck ever made. Thanks alot guys! You are my go-to salvage yard.
