Called then Drove a few hrs to get there . No inventory list , no help in finding vehicles on lot . No lot row numbers . Was told car was back to the right somewhere and couldnt find the car mentioned … pull & pay had what I needed and was easy to find .
Even though I've been working on cars for years, this was my first time at the Boneyard. Had to get a tire. They had a few tires, but only a couple in the size I needed. Both tires were at the end of life, little tread left. I didn't really want to buy it, but I had to get one. It was $20! A tire in that condition, at double the price of what I usually spend elsewhere, I would normally pass on that deal. Then $15 to mount it - nah, I'll mount it myself. For that price I can get a way better used tire at a tire shop, mounted and balanced! They have a lot of cars to choose from if you need parts. I walked around half the lot, but didn't see a single vehicle I wanted to look at closer. All the cars were sitting on the dirt (bring your own jack), almost none had wheels on them, and I didn't see any trucks on that half of the lot. Maybe the other half, but I didn't have the time to walk around to look. The place is ok. Kinda ghetto. They don't even have a customer parking lot and I didn't see anyone else there, but a lady at the office. I thought, with just a fraction of vehicles to choose from, my local scrap yard was way better than this one. Way more affordable with much better inventory.
Good for parts but not so good for engines.
The lot is “organized” (trucks on one side and cars on the other, just thrown around lazily.) Pretty good pricing on small auto parts, seats, etc. Large exterior pieces are rare to find undamaged or in decent shape.
Buying engines or any other large part is super shady, and a massive ripoff. I would not recommend it unless it’s your last resort. I paid 1k for a small block, (I was previously told that engines cost 300-600 dollars). They slapped on an extra 60 for core fee, and took the alternator and AC compressor off after I bought it, telling me I can “come buy them later”. They marked all the head bolts with a paint marker, and told me if I remove the heads I void my 60 day warranty. The issue is that the receipt claims that all gaskets must be replaced before they can decide whether or not to give you the warranty.
I was told the engine had 83k miles on it, but after inspecting the engine, and having it looked at by two different professionals, the wear and condition of the engine indicated 180-200k miles.
TLDR: good pricing for small parts, but engines and transmissions are super overpriced, and their warranty and return system is designed to prevent you from returning a potentially completely trashed engine they sold you.
Very unhelpful and rude, also I drove from Los Lunas to here because they said they had a automatic transmission for me once I got there the transmission was a manual and it had a BIG crack down the hole transmission,I can understand if the transmission was from a different year or something but come on!.
One of the top best scrap yards in Northern New Mexico with ultimately very reasonable prices. The people there are awesome and are always willing to help. I enjoy going there just to walk through the yard
Went looking for steel, price quoted was steep n they didn't have much else in steel. Have small project in mind, but it wud b nice to work w/ clean material.
customer service is ok. They usually have a lot of what u need in the yard but the price of parts is on the expensive side sometimes it's better to go to Santa Fes scrap yard and the price is better and or negotiable. I can say another good thing about the boneyard is if the part isn't what you need they at least let you bring it back and get a credit to do exchange for something else that you do need that is very helpful.
If you don't speak Spanish they treat you like your unwanted and not welcomed. They say they have every part when you get there they don't have anything you need
It's like the one's in Denver called pull and save. Very convenient save a lot of money pulling your own parts. Highly recommend it will shop there again....
Bone Yard has gotten much better in the last couple of years. Don't have to pay to look. Directed me to what vehicles was present and keeled in same location. No need to search anymore. Counter person was awesome. Keep it up y'all !

Ok. But the salvage dawg claims he doesn't have this years of car in lot? 06 to 11??? Goodluck. If I would of had the chance to look. There's Inerchangaable one from GM also.... pay to look I guess.
Julio promptly responded to my first contact about picking up a car on our remote property. Arrived when he said he would, very professional, and excellent value for money. Trustworthy and courteous.
Don't buy here unless you're absolutely sure that's the part you need. Tried to do a return I got about a week ago. I paid 15 and Julio wanted to give me 10 back. So no matter what, they are making money off of you. We need businesses to help the community not rip it off.
Place has really went downhill. Usually when you get there your not greeted by anyone at the front desk. If you are greeted by anyone its usually a 12 year old girl who says her dad is not there. The last 2 times I went they were supposed to have parts pulled and ready for me to pay. The 1st time I went the guy working the yard pulled a complete dadhboard out of a car that I didn't need. This was after speaking to the owner "Julio" to whom I actually showed photos of the part and the car it was supposed to be taken from. So I had over 2 hours to pull the right one since I didn't have any tools. The owner then said it wouldn't happen again. A month later I went back and again no one was at the desk. When I did find someone in the yard (Everything was open...) No one spoke English after trying to communicate using Google translate and showing the car part I needed he said it would be ready in 2 days. So I show up and the part was never pulled and the 12 year old girl said her dad was unavailable. The person in the yard refused to stop and help me even after trying to wave him down while he was on a fork lift. I left in disgust as I just again wasted over a hour of my time.
