I had an oil change done on my truck here a few years ago. My truck was put on a lift, which they insisted on because it would make the job easier and cheaper. Unfortunately, the lift broke and would not lower—the cable slipped off the pulley. It was an easy fix, but management wouldn’t touch it because it was under a contract warranty. They had to call a contractor to fix it. This happened on a Saturday, and the contractor technicians only work on weekdays, so the soonest they could come out was Monday. As a result, my truck was stuck on the lift for a few days. They didn’t have a loaner vehicle, so I was left without transportation during that time. On Monday, they finally got my truck down with no damage. Someone had to pick me up from my house in town and bring me back on base. They felt bad about the situation, so they gave me a free 150-hour car wash on base, which I only used once because they use hard water. Overall, it could have been worse, but I wish they had a plan in place for situations like this.

Frank is a good guy. Hourly rate is too high but that's out of his control. Good place to get stuff done!

We always use the auto hobby. Their prices can’t be beat. We’ve had price quotes at other places around base and off base was hundreds more. Also they are friendly and accommodating. Stick with auto hobby!

The Auto Hobby Shop was very clean and all the parts were in front of the lift, which made changing my oil very simple. Frank was very helpful with the questions I had.

Took my car in for a replacement part on the steering assembly. Did the replacement with no issue but I get home and my brake lights are stuck on. Look at my brake light switch and it's snapped in half and duct taped back together. Frank had no intention of telling me about this until I called and brought it up. I understand stuff happens during repairs but at least tell me about it if you've duct taped a critical piece of my car back together. Glad I found it and replaced it before it led to more serious issues. He was helpful upfront and gave a fair price but I cant trust the work that was done after that.

The best auto hobby shop I've been to by far. The guys are super helpful and knowledgeable. If I could rate them higher I would.

Never got to use their service. According to the website they were open.....nope not open and needed to change a fuel pump due to a bad sending unit, nothing online saying they were closed......

We technically didn’t even go physically to the location and still got great service! Essentially we thought we overfilled our oil tank doing a DIY oil change and called the shop in a panic. Leo walked me through it, even let me send pictures to him of the dipstick and guided me through what to do patiently. So kind! So helpful!

Called to ask about finding a vacuum leak and got hung up on mid sentence. Their experience as a mechanic seems to be extremely limited. If you're working on your own vehicle, it's fine, i wouldn't recommend leaving your vehicle with them.
