A REAL SHOP ! Amazing creativity and ability to install a custom, hidden hitch on a 2022 Acura RDX. See pictures for more details. I needed a hitch installed on this Acura and the only available hitch is installed below the bumper. I wanted a hitch that can tow my Kendon 2 motorcycle trailer and requires ability to tow 3,500 lbs. Dean Jr. said it was possible to customize such a hitch and a few days later - he did it! FDR Hitches not only sells and installs hitches, they create custom solutions when needed. I highly recommend this shop for all your trailer and hitches needs. Ron

This one star review is not for anyone besides the sales person. I called for a quote at the end of October for a plow installation with plans to put it on during the winter. The sales person never told me that the quote was only good for 30 days but being in business myself, I can completely understand that. I called January 25th to get the plow installed and proceed asap. Sales person said his next available is towards the end of February but the upcoming Monday (2 days after my call) he has a cancellation which i can take if i wanted it. Towards the end of the phone call, he realized I was quoted three months prior and said today’s price has got to be at least $1000 more. I asked if he can confirm that because he seemed unsure and he said he will call the owner and find out, but he can guarantee me that they don’t want to do an installation if they aren’t making money OR enough money on the job. It doesn’t take a business owner to realize some profits are better than no profits especially when they had a cancellation that I was willing to take on such short notice. It’s $9,000 it’s not like we’re talking about some pocket change. I can guarantee you this owner of this business would have either met me in the middle or told me in a more respectful way that the price went up $1000 and i was quoted pre season, or availability is limited so prices are higher etc. It’s obvious that a plow can be more expensive in the middle of the winter than in the middle of the fall but for the salesman to say he will call the owner and call me right back and never call me back is not right. I ended up getting my plow installed yesterday from Guire in Long branch and they were actually $200 cheaper all in for the same exact thing. $200 cheaper from my original October quote not $200 cheaper from their winter price with fdr. I highly recommend the owner of this business to have a conversation with his salesman. Business is not always just about money

I needed a custom hitch for a car (Mercedes 2025) for which no standard hitches are available. Everyone at FDR was very helpful, in particular Dean jr and Anthony and the job was completed in a timely and expert manner. Thank you!

I came to FDR Hitches the day before July 4th in a panic, because another mechanic told me they physically couldn’t install a hitch that I’d purchased for my cross country move, and I was scheduled to leave on the 5th. The guys here were super understanding, sympathetic to my situation, and accommodating. They squeezed me in first thing July 5th, and assured me I had the correct piece. They’re super friendly and funny, helped to keep me at ease when I was super anxious. I’d definitely recommend them to anyone who needs a hitch.

Anthony, their head of sales was exceptional. They are a professional company that handled our Stealth Hitch Installation without any issues. I recommend them strongly for your Hitch needs as well as any parts/accessories. They do a great job!

This place is a mess. Called and inquired about a slightly damaged topper they had listed on a classifieds app, spoke with Anthony who assured me they still had it and explained the damage. We set up a day for me to come pick it up as it had to be dug out of storage according to them, I called the day of and was told the owners son had to be there to sell it to me, one day wasted. I called again today to pick it up, was told to go ahead and come in it’s ready and when I get there it’s a completely different model cap from what was listed and advertised. No damage, not even remotely similar. I was lied to over the phone and that resulted in a major waste of time drove 3+ hours round trip.

I've had them do some custom fabwork on a vehicle for one of my customers they did great work in a timely fashion, very knowledgeable on the things you need and want, and they'll explain everything without an attitude highly recommend

Superb service by Jewell. Got me what I needed even was willing to wait for me when I was going to be a few minutes after closing. I highly recommend Jewell and team for your boat trailer needs!

FDR It's a nice place to To buy equipment for contractors , My experience is the prices is A little high , The people that worked there are very nice especially Anthony literally some people don't like him but hes really a nice guy and the manager the lady she's nice to she's a sweetheart and she has a reason how she Runs the Business. This store is open even in snowstorms To be there for that contractor workers. The guys that work in the back are really nice guys that know what they' I am going to buy more snow plows and Short spreaders coming up for this season and I recommend everybody to go there just have patience but they do a great job . Sometimes I b**** and moan over prices but that's on nature But we can't take it out on them. And everyone be nice to Anthony he kind of sensitive????

We are extremely disappointed in how our most recent purchase at FDR Hitches was handled. We have been doing business with them for years but how our issue was handled was ridiculous. We purchased a western V-blade plow for our John Deere gator but received a plow for a Polaris. We spent at least a month with continuous issues trying to install the plow but we were told we received the wrong wire and kept getting the run around. First we were told it was John Deere’s fault then we were told it was Western’s fault then we were told it was our fault. Surprise surprise it was ALL THEIR FAULT !! After calling FDR Hitches, John Deere, and Western we finally figured out they gave us the wrong unit. We finally spoke with Anthony who sold us the unit and he swore he put our gator in their system and that what popped up is what we received but he wasn’t. Instead of rectifying the situation he told us he had to go to lunch (supposedly with his daughter) and will call us back afterwards which is EXTREMELY UNPROFFESSIONAL. Oh and did I mention he did NOT call us back. So we called again and asked for a supervisor and talked to Sarah a.k.a. “Karen”. She told us what Anthony did was unacceptable and when she types our gator in the system it clearly shows the one we were SUPPOSED to receive. She told us to give her a bit and she would have them put the plow together for us since we already spent time and money putting the incorrect one together and she would call us when we could pick it up. Surprise again she didn’t call us back so we called her and we had to wait yet another day to pick up our plow. We finally went back for at least the 4th trip there (40+ minutes away) and to make up for all this wasted time, energy, money, and MOST IMPORTANTLY THEIR SCREW UP! She gave us an old, cracked, dusty, Car cup holder phone holder!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT WAS OUR ONLY COMPENSATION!! FOR ALL THIS B.S. WE PUT A UNIT TOGETHER FOR THEM AND WENT THERE ATLEAST 4 TIMES AND GOT A FREAKING PHONE HOLDER I COULD GET AT 5 BELOW FOR $5! IF IT WOULD HAVE BEEN SNOWING WE WOULD HAVE LOST OUT ON PROFITS TOO! AND SHE HAD THE NERVE TO GIVE US AN ATTITUDE AND TRY TO FIGHT WITH US !! I AM OUTRAGED AT FDR HITCHES AND HOW THEY HANDLED THIS ESPECIALLY FOR A COMMERCIAL ACCOUNT THAT SPENDS A LOT OF MONEY WITH THEM. HORRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICE !!

Tried to get a quote for a sizeable trailer for a local non profit. Never got back to me for three weeks, when I called to check they assured they would get me the quote that day... Never did. My first impression is they are unreliable, unprofessional and have poor customer service. If they're not even reliable to get me a price on something I want to buy, what will happen if you buy from them and there is a problem?

Gaston was the man! He was very helpful throughout the process and knowledgeable as well. He kept me updated on what was going on with my trailer service and when I went to pick it up, FDR exceeded my expectations. They will definitely be my go-to for any of my trailer needs from now on.

Great experience working with Gaston and staff. If you have a RV and you have a Jeep this is place to go for Flat Towing. I would highly recommend this place great prices and service. The technician explain how to use it step by step.

Excellent group of guys,i got stuck down there picking up a range Rover and a custom trike and the ball was too small and the plug for the lights was wrong. I spent 7 hours looking everywhere else and these guys had me fixed up and ready to go in 25 mns and even custom made the convertor plug for me. Anytime i have a problem and I'm out east they'll definitely be the place i go.

Had a trailer hitch put on my 2017 Subaru Forester. Call for an appointment for an install as they are currently about 2 weeks out for some installs. The install went well. However, I was told the install would take 1 to 1 1/2 hours. The install took over 2 hours, not sure why and I was never told. Overall they seem very knowledgeable about the products they sell and seem to have a wide selection of hardware and parts for all types of towing applications.

Stopped by earlier today to purchase new blades and a few other accessories and i was helped by Gaston. He was great and had a lot of knowledge about plows. Very helpful and gave some good advise on what to do soon. Great experience, i will definitely come there everytime ????

Ordered parts and after a month of waiting and numerous call backs the owner Dean never put order in for parts to be made.. I tried to use the company again and to order a tool box for underneath a truck. I ordered it Jan 6th 2021 I just called today because we haven't received it yet. Ordered it from DEAN the owner and found out order was never placed. What kinda of business are they running... Pretty shabby if you as me.. Taking my special order business else where. I suggest you do the same..

Great communication - great price - great work. Seems like a nice group of guys who do good work at a reasonable price. I hired them to install a tow bar for my Jeep to tow behind my RV. Would definitely come back.

Dean, Paul, and the rest of the FDR staff have always been extremely professional, helpful, and knowledgeable. They are patient and stand by all their labor and products. They have been in business a long time and go the extra mile for all their customers. I have bought multiple snow plows and snow equipment, as well as had some major welding fabricating done. They know what they are doing and are the best in the area. If you want it done right the first time, call FDR, you won't regret it.

Rock Solid group!! Called at close of business yesterday with a broken trailer! Vacation was on the line. They said no worries show up at 8am we'll get ya in!!! And they did exactly that!!! Well done repair done quickly while I waited!!!

Got the job done. I will post back once I have reconnected my equipment to see how its working. I had some other issues but I'd rather not post them. I will just say that the customer service could be a better andt that there could be a little more transparency with the customers. I sent my worker without giving him my experience and he says his experience was the same. I was told that FDR was a reputable business to take equipment to especially after I was scammed by another local snow plow repair place. Hopefully we can continue doing business with each other.

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE ALERT I purchased a cargo carrier from FDR for $500. The next day the center weld broke and they said sorry we can not help you try calling the Manufacture. I’m very surprised that they didn’t offer to call the manufacture for me or offer a solution to help me. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I can't thank the people at FDR enough. We had a wheel bearing go bad on the GSP. The trailer was an older trailer and parts were obsolete but FDR matched up the parts we needed to get us home. They stayed open late and got us everything we needed to do the roadside repairs right down to giving us rags and a garbage bag!! With their help we made it the 200 miles home with no issues!!!! I wish I lived closer... they would get all my trailer business!!! Thanks you again FDR Hitches!!!
