I think this place is great for purchasing a cash and carry vehicle. They take care to get vehicles that are in good shape and that have been maintained. My experience was fantastic here, Nick stays calm even if you're not when the insurance company isn't doing the right thing. Anyway I bought a Toyota RAV4 and I absolutely love it. This is our second vehicle from here. I think that they are honest and trustworthy.
After looking for a specific vehicle for several months, I found it at Alpine Auto Sales in Stockholm NJ. I spoke with Nick and he gave me a description and carfax link. It met my needs perfectly. As I live in central Virginia and 430 miles away I got a one way rental car and made the trip. Nick picked me up in the Yukon, we drove back to the dealership, 30 minutes later paperwork complete I left and made the drive home. The vehicle performed flawlessly and exceeded my expectations in every way. I’m retired now but owned my own used auto dealership for nearly 20 years and have bought and sold cars for 50 years so I have a good idea on the type of folks to do business with. It was a pleasure working with Nick. He was pleasant, easy going and trustworthy. Just what is needed when it comes time to purchase your next vehicle. Five stars for sure!
Yup. I acknowledge that I bought an old truck from them, but the motor blew in a few thousand miles. Everything listed that their " mechanic " did was BS. Things were wrong and done with mismatched parts. They had the wrong sized oil filter on it and then over filled the engine blowing out all the seals. Come to find out the engine was completely loaded with stop leak. I basically bought scrap metal from them. Please beware when buying from them. After I bought the truck cash I almost immediately had to put another 3k into it. Only to find out it was too little too late and now I'm completely out of options.
Bought a Nissan Pathfinder from Alpine Auto. Great experience, no pressure. Nick and his dad are very nice guys, would highly recommend them. And they don't charge dox fees or prep fees whuch was great..
My husband saw this truck and was like "Mare can you go check out this truck ?", He told me where it was and he was in love with it.So I went and was like "yea it's ok", but a little out of our price range for what we wanted it for ,so " I'm sorry babe not going to happen." He was so upset. But, the truth was I was going to buy it and surprise him... (evil right?) A day later I went back and Nick was such a doll and helped me pull off the surprise for him, Went and bought it completely with the help of Nick, took it home and when my husband came home, he was so surprised and shocked and happy, so far so good he LOVED it , thank you, Nick! Totally recommend this dealership! Kind and courteous , absolutely NO pressure, professional and pleasant ,in fact , Nick even came to pick me up to pick up the truck, Can't say enough Good about this Father/Son dealership!

SCAM ARTISTS- ALPINE AUTO SALES IN STOCKHOLM NJ- BUYER BEWARE
Long story short- We purchased a 2005 Ford F-150 from them in November 2021. Truck gave us a problem on day one so we bought it back to them. They put a bandaid on it and gave it back only for the motor to blow less than 3,000 miles later. They take zero responsibility and we’re out $12,000. Took the truck to a mechanic to see if the motor is worth replacing to find out the frame is completely rotted. An honest dealership would have owned up to the fact that the motor was on its way out when they took the truck to their “shop” and “fixed it” a day after selling it to us and while it was under their joke of a 30 day warranty. Nick and his father are thieves and should be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of people, don’t waste your time or money!

Amazing place to buy a car. Low pressure 10/10, Prices 7/10, Lack of fake fees 10/10, Staff 10/10 Selection 7/10, straight forward honest 10/10. They seem to find amazingly low mileage older cars. Prices seem meh until you find out there are not BS fees involved which then even things out pretty much like other dealers. They are just up front with you instead of BS surprise fees or requirements to get the deal done.

I just purchased a 2016 Honda Fit with only 3000 miles for a great price! It's practically new! I had been emailing Nick for a week regarding this car and he answered all my questions. Since this was my first car purchase ever I was nervous about the negotiating process *not a fan* and possible added fees. But I got none of that BS. I saved thousands of dollars on this vehicle and a lot of time! I was in and out in about 1 hour! Very happy so far with my purchase and my experience.

I recently traveled from MA down here 3 hours to get a truck from them. Nick was quick to answer inquiries, send photos and help me with any questions regarding getting the truck back home. They even went out of their way to help me a few days later so I could get something smoothed out with the registry.

When the vehicle I wanted was not on the lot, the salesman worked with me to find the car that met my exact specifications. Bought a 2001 Honda Civic from here in 2016 and it's been a fantastic car. Put about 20,000 of my own miles onto it and have had some typical repairs needed for it. Overall though the owners were polite and sold me a solid car. Highly recommend the business for great used car deals.
Alpine is a great father and son dealership. 8 Years ago they treated me with fair prices and no pressure when I helped on son by a Tacoma there so when I helped another son by a Tacoma there on May 4 they continued the good service with fair prices and no pressure. Highly recommend them.
We all know the stigma that comes along with car salesmen let alone USED car salesmen, its one of those things in which once you find one you can trust you never go to anyone else and you send friends and family there as well. I feel the same way about a good mechanic. I found a mechanic years ago and now I have two car salesmen in my mental rolodex filed under "I got a guy for that". Nick and Frank at Alpine Auto are a father, son team who obviously care about their reputation and repeat business more than making a quick buck and sticking someone with a hooptie. I have bought two Jeeps from them. One was a Jeep Cherokee Sport and more recently a Jeep Grand Cherokee. My sport was the most reliable vehicle I have owned which is just one of the reasons why I just went back to Alpine Auto Sales for my new Jeep. Over the years I have used the "I got a guy for that" line a bunch of times and sent family and friends there and they have all thanked me for the "hook up". So, I'm not a guy who writes reviews but these guys deserve it. Go check them out and I'll bet that you end up feeling the same way I do. I know I'll be going back there in about 11 months when my son needs his first car.

Went on the advice of a high school classmate. Got an excellent deal on a 2009 Honda Fit Sport. Son of owner - Nick - took got replacement brake light that I was able to replace on my own. Also took care of low tire pressure indicator. Look forward to shopping here again
