I’m only giving this review five stars because of the employee Kobe the cashier at the register. He is a superstar!! He is the most friendliest, polite and nice human being. You will ever meet at any store. He always has a smile on his face, a pleasant person to talk with, and is very quick to process your check out. I wish every cashier that I dealt with was just like him. If their company was smart They would put him in some type of management training program. You can’t teach class or personality but he has both. What a magnificent human being. Obviously, you were raised and taught well

I use the self-checkout area often, and I’ve noticed that the employee who is usually stationed there consistently shows an attitude when customers make small mistakes. She makes it very obvious through her facial expressions, like eye-rolling or looking annoyed, which makes the experience uncomfortable and stressful. I’m sharing this so management is aware, because everything else at the store is great, but this situation keeps happening.”

My recent visit to BJ’s was one of the most disappointing customer service experiences I’ve ever had. The employee at the Member Services desk, Stephanie, was unbelievably rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional from the moment I approached her. Instead of offering assistance or showing even the slightest level of courtesy, Stephanie displayed an attitude that was downright disrespectful. She spoke to me with arrogance, rolled her eyes, and acted as if helping a paying member was beneath her. It was clear she has no understanding of how to handle customers or even basic human interaction in a professional setting. Her lack of common sense and unwillingness to do her job properly was astonishing. BJ’s should be embarrassed to have someone like this representing their company—especially in a customer-facing position. If this is the level of service BJ’s allows from its staff, it raises serious concerns about management oversight and training standards.

Sharon in Bakery is the best!! Her customer service is amazing! She is always so pleasant and cares about the customer. I go out of my way to come to this BJ’s location because of her. It is an extra 30 minute drive for me. But it is worth it. I am always celebrating something.I order a lot of cakes. Sharon always does a great job.. She is the best!!

The night time gas station workers are not very attentive. Went at night and had to wait till worker got off his phone to come to the pump that was done minutes ago and I was the only car.

Pothole in parking lot at entrance damaged my tire on my new car, 2 wks old. Customer service and management dismissed my claim I file back in May 2025. Did anyone else experience this pothole in lot during this time

This store is not good to shop if you are handicap and can not push a cart around big warehouse store The ride around carts never work Join any other store but not the one on 22. Try other bjs bit not that one. It's the worst

This store is well managed, but BJ's corporate HQ appears to be brain dead. Corp. orders Season's sardines WITH bone in and skin on, but never boneless, skinless. All clothing is for super fat people, never small. I bought 2 Hagger belts here, they both failed within a month. Coupons sent in mail often are for things not on shelves. New gas station is a plus. Overall not worth yearly membership. Go to Costco, whose Corp HQ has a brain.

I'm writing this review in regards to a coupons I have used to buy formula several times before I had the misfortune of trying to buy it today for my infant son. The coupon has my wife's name on it but that has never stopped me from purchasing formula. I went to membership services and they said they couldn't do it and the persons who have done it before did it wrong (all 5 of them I guess). It couldn't be possible that they just didn't know how to process the coupon as they didn't even try and feed it through the register like so many before. Now my wife who is healing from a C-section must go to the club herself just to save on formula. Good job Bjs, you are the worst.

Updating 4/24…. Happy to see the scanners back at self checkout! Bring back self checkout scanners!!! If I wanted to load/unload my cart multiple unnecessary times I would get on a regular line!! Inefficient checkout procedure - I’ll go to Sam’s Club!

I'm writing this review in regards to the memberships and their auto renewal. I had a membership that went to February 28th. And I'm pretty sure I always go online and cancel that auto renew but somehow it was still on there. Even though I find this deceitful and unacceptable to do to people, especially prior to their actual end date. They automatically renewed my card on February 1st and charged me $63. I went into bjs store to cancel my membership and credit back my card for the additional year, I didn't want and wasn't going to pay $63 for. However my membership was supposed to be good till the end of February 28th but instead they took my card and told me because I canceled it, it is now canceled and no longer usable and they had to dispose of my card. However I'm reviewing their policy online right now under membership expiration and renewals. And it says "your membership expires on the last day of the month and year shown"

Elizabeth took so much time to help an 82 yr old set up a BJ AP, she helped me get a booklet for coupons and was patient when I had to call my husband for the password!!! Treat her well!!!! She made My day!!! Barbara

I recently visited Bj's at Watchung, I had a great experience with a sale person on the floor by the name of Jayson. I needed help getting a TV down into my cart. Jayson walking by asked if I needed assistance, he assisted me with my purchase. He continued to assist me to my car. A very kind soul with a lot of knowledge. Jayson I appreciate your act of kindness.

It was a rough week, went shopping on a rainy Sunday morning. I had two separate orders. Cashier: 456422 Pam H greeted me with a smile. She didn't give me a hard time with having two separate orders. I mixed up some of the coupons with orders. Pam H made sure I got the savings with the correct order. Pam H thank you for your kindness! Keep being a shining star! I was smiling on my way home! :) Club Mgr. Kayron Perkins please recognize Pam H for doing a wonderful job!!

The only issue I have is cutting different meats on the same meat slicer without cleaning the slicer in between orders. Some don't eat pork,some don't eat beef & some don't eat turkey. But other than that,I will give a 4/5

I haven't been there in many years. The product selection seems to have improved, but I'm a bit disappointed in the lack of organic or gluten-free options. UPDATE: I must have missed the organic section last time. Came across more organic options for produce and meats.

Ordered a cake a couple days ago for my daughter’s birthday. I go to pick it up and the bakery has no idea what I’m talking about and can’t find my cake. They reach out to the manager (Tamera I believe) and she comes around to let me know that I did put the order in and they gave me an option for a sheet cake or two tiered like I had ordered. I went with the sheet cake since the really nice women told me I could add a picture. I thought I’d be able to also get a discount since I waited about 45 minutes to get my cake. I go to check out and Tamera is in the other line and declines the discount due to me choosing the bigger cake. That’s fair. My only issue is there wasn’t an apology whatsoever from her. I did my due diligence with ordering the cake in advance. The least she could have done was apologize for the inconvenience.

Friendly employees, well-stocked, fair prices, and the only problem really is is they really need new shopping carts of all the shopping cards the rubber from the wheels has worn down. Way too many or just worn down to the plastic hub of the shopping wheel tires. Update they finally got new carts. Now they need to fix their extremely spotty WiFi. Spots in the store where it just goes out and phone left on spin. Not great considering a lot of customers use the BJs app.

This store location is the best! There is always a great selection of items and we’ve found the staff to be extremely helpful. They go out of their way to try and help the customers - this is true for us as well as something we’ve witnessed while shopping there multiple times! Story is also very clean and well stocked.

McDonald at the front door is always very sweet. Also an associate Leslie is always extremely helpful. Ive never had any issues at this store. Some younger staff may be a little attitude-y but whatever, we all have our days.

The store was quiet when I visited and had most of the usual selections, and staff was friendly and courteous. However, if you're looking to go for discounted beer and wine, don't be fooled. The liquor store is a private retailer so the prices are about on par with any other beer/wine/liquor store. It's not a "BJ's" liquor store.

This is more for the tire center (though walking around the wholesale club was pleasant as well). I went to get my tires rotated on 4/30/22 at 2pm and the man behind the counter (I forgot to get his name to give him a shout out) and whoever was working in the garage that I didn't see made getting my car serviced the least painful service experience I've had the in 13 years of being a licensed driver. I cannot recommend people go there enough. I was told it would only take 30-45 minutes and was told they would call me when I asked if it was ok that I got into the wholesale club. I ended up finishing shopping at the club mere minutes before my car was pulled out of the garage and I was given my keys, and envelope with my paperwork and a sticker for when I will need my tires rotated again. 10/10 will be coming back for all my tire services and will be telling everyone I know to go here.

The two stars is for the man who greets at the door and says: “Have a blessed day” ??. Truly wonderful Next, I Literally went there for one item. Went through checkout and had a coupon as that one item was about $30 bucks. Scanned the coupon and saw the price changed but once finalized and through, it turns out the coupon did not go through properly ? At that point, I had ripped it in half and tossed it. Notified the girl at the self checkout and she sent me to Customer service. Before I went up to C.S., I got the majority of the coupon out the garbage as more than half the barcode was visible and clear that I had some form of coupon for this item. Waited in the customer service line just for the lady to off the bat say that she couldn’t do anything with that and that was that and proceeded to call the next person. I understand that the coupon was ripped a bit in the barcode and physically deemed un-useable but to not even look in the system etc. seeing that I had form of proof for the slightest of coupon is crazy to me . Definitely felt like more could have been done for help as it was over all a simple situation.

Today was my first time back inside BJ's Watchung since the pandemic began last year. Nothing has changed. This store still has the worst customer service of any store I shop at. I had some problems checking out so I called over to the front-of-the-store person who is there to help customers. She just ignored me and walked away. Another employee who seemed to be on a break called over to her and asked her to help me, but she said she was busy. At this point she was having a conversation with another employee so I guess she thought it was okay to ignore a paying customer. She never came back to help. I eventually figured out what the issue was and resolved it myself. Oh, and to top it off, she was wearing a face mask, but not covering her nose. The person I am referring to is the tall woman who has been there for years and whose job appears to be customer service at the registers. Maybe someone needs to explain to her what customer service means and how to wear a face mask.

its is unfortunate to see employees setting a bad example of not wearing masks. why isn't manager enforcing this? the employee is clearly withing eyesight of other higher authority. picture attached and no it was not a couple of minutes that the employee had the mask on his neck

Good prices, lots of coupons, ample parking, and a large variety of various products. Most items come in bulk.

They sell a variety of items for a membership fee. Staff is usually attentive and knowledgeable. Prices vary by product but can be a good buy in you are shopping for a big family. They also have Dunkin Donuts, Optical store and Liquor store. No membership required for purchasing from liquor store. They also offer tire service.
