Huge zero! Had my Stihl Weedwacker ten weeks for tune up and fix spoil. Was running rough. No Calls. Allegedly having trouble starting it, couldn’t get carburetor clean. First off it was running when dropped it off. Took it back today. In my work clothes I got it started!! They never looked at it. They are the absolute worst!!!! Never ever take your machines there! They want to sell new machines to you!!

I had a pretty good experience. They picked up my lawn tractor. It took a little longer than expected for them to look at it, but it was under 2 weeks. They responded to texts. It was going to cost more than I wanted to repair, so they disposed of it for me. They also removed the snow plow kit for me, so I could resell it. Everyone I dealt with was pleasant. They were probably just overloaded with work.

Worst lawn mower shop to deal with! I stopped in the third week of January to drop off a part I need to be fixed from my Kawasaki motor. The woman behind the counter said I could leave it and the woman that would fix it will call me. I never received a call and I had to keep calling to try to get ahold of her. When I finally did speak to her, she said it should be fixed in a week. Weeks went by with NO phone calls or update! Tried calling multiple times - no one answered the phone or called back after I left multiple messages. I had to physically stop back in to find out the status and was told it would be another week. After another MONTH went by with no phone call or call back from messages I left, I stopped back in a third time to get my part back. No one had worked on it at all, the woman was extremely rude to me with no apology. First time I went here and will certainly be the last time I go. This shop does not care about their customers, and in this economy, they probably should.

Excellent service! Very nice company to work with. I had our snowblower serviced. They came to our home to pick it up, and when it was repaired dropped it back off at our home. Highly recommend - 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Laura was great. Made the process easy. Generator was fixed and runs very well. She kept me up to date with the repair requirements throughout and they picked up and delivered the generator at a fair price.

My Powerwasher was there for 4 months (May-Sept). They said something was wrong with my carburetor and the part was on backorder. They never pick up their phone, answer texts, or call you back. While in the store I've talked to other customers that are having the same issue and their machine being there also for months at a time. Needless to say my power washer was never repaired and now I am taking it somewhere else to get a second opinion. I would not recommend this place nor will I ever come back.

Ryobi sent me here for a warranty replacement . Hear this horrible story. I waited 3 months for a lawn mower cover .Never got it still after 7 months later no call back or follow up, I just took my lawn mower back. Kept calling and texting as they asked me to do, For every 10 text I sent I got 1 unhelpful reply as for calling they don't pick up waste of time. I hate writing bad reviews , I always give the benefit of the doubt but i waited 7 months horrible

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE! Stay away from this place. Dropped my mower for warranty repair on June 12th 2023. It has been a nightmare! no call or text ever returned for 1 whole year. During the past year, I drove over 1 hour to visit the shop twice along, but was told to contact manufacturer (Ryobi )directly as Rybobi has all my info and there was a delay by Ryobi for not sending part. However, Ryobi never received any order from this shop and has no record of my mower. For my issue, Ryobi also tried to contact the shop to figure out what's going on, but the shop never returned any phone call from Ryobi. Also, Ryobi denied the shop's description of not sending parts. After 12 months, I have to come back to take the unrepaired mower to another Ryobi appointed shop for service. The shop was hostile when I was trying to get my mower back, saying it was my fault to order a junk product. The same day, I met other customers who get the similar treatment! Stay away from this shop! UPDATE: I sent the mower to another shop per recommendation from Ryobi and it was repaired within a week!!! The Lawn Mower Shop just lied

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE! Tried calling for weeks on end and no one calls back, no one picks up the phone. Finally we just took our lawnmower to the place and it’s been there for 2 weeks and still no call back. It was supposed to be done in 7-10 days! What is the point of having a phone if you’re not going to call a customer back? Voicemail is full as well. Go somewhere else guys.

Have called at least 15 times over the past week to schedule a service for my tractor and not once has anyone answered the phone and instead I was met with a recording to leave a message. However, their voicemail box is full so can't actually do that. Fortunately you can text them, which I did multiple times and they didn't answer them either. Wow!

Stay away, I was told I’d have a quote in a week from when I dropped off my trimmer, after 2 weeks I started calling, left 4 voicemails and texted as well, no call backs or texts. I drove there and they said I’d have a quote in 2 days, they quoted me and I approved the work and they said It would be done in 1 week, I called and texted after 9 days, no answer, left messages and no return calls or texts, on the 11th day I called 20+ times in a row and they finally called back to tell me it was done, 5+ weeks after I dropped it off they finally finished it. Horrible, I’ll never return there.

Needed to have my lawn mower blade sharpened, overall good experience and result. Did experience lack of communication in terms of whether my blade was ready for pick up or not but figured they were just overwhelmed with high volume of work. Overall would come back to sharpen my blade again.

If I could give a negative star I would. Like other customers they do not return phone calls do not return text messages which they ask you to do in their voice message. After having my ride on tractor there for over 2 weeks they told me the engine was no good. We went to pick it up brought it somewhere else and $250 later all my repairs were done. Avoid using this place

Been going to this shop for 22 years, they have always been responsive and offer great customer service. When I bring equipment in to them, the wait is kinda long, but the repair services are excellent, better than I have found anywhere else that still services outdoor equipment. Give them a try!

As many people have commented, it's nearly impossible to get a hold of them. I asked why no one answered the phone or returned my texts, and one lady said that it was hard because she was watching the kids there. Sorry, but that's unacceptable. They said my item would be ready in about a day or two. Three days later, I tried to get a hold of them to find out if it was ready. Had to drive all the way down there, only to find out they had to even started working on it

Brought my lawn trimmer in for repair, as it's a repair location for items by Ryobi under warranty. June 16 I dropped it off and was told it would take a week. After two weeks I called and got no answer. Left a voicemail. No response. Toward the end of July I stopped in and out still wasn't ready. The guy said, "Ryobi's a big company," as if it was Ryobi's fault they said it would be one week and not theirs. I called and left a voicemail again in the middle of August and still no response. Today I called Ryobi and told them about the issue. I'll be bringing it somewhere else for repair. I suggest you do the same with your equipment.

Horrible customer service. I dropped off my Ryobi chainsaw on 2-13-23 for service. Called a month later and the woman I spoke with said it would take 2-3 months to get parts (if you can believe that). I have been trying to reach them monthly since then. They never pick up the phone, they do not respond to either voice mails or text messages. It has now been over 6 months that they are still holding my chainsaw hostage. Do not take your equipment here for repairs!

I bought my Ryobi 2700 power washer to be fixed on May 9th. They gave me a receipt and said would give me a call when it's ready to be picked up and here we are July 10th. No callback. I just called 10 times back to back with no avail. I am very disappointed that my service plan sends me to a place not capable of decent customer service or any of the above. I will be going by with the cops very shortly to retrieve my stuff. Worst business experience ever

I dropped off my machine on April 27, 2023 and they told me we will get to your machine on May 12. We are going on 3 months and I've never heard back from them. I purchased a Ryobi powerwasher and they sent me to this horrible place. I should have known when I looked around that 80% of the products were from Ryobi. A defendant to make matters worse Ryobi is absolutely no help. I am contemplating going there with cops and taking my machine back as is.

This is probably the worse place you can take your power equipment to. I took my power washer to them for repair 8 months ago!!!! Initially, it took them a while to even look at it. Then they said they needed to order the part after the manufacturer approve the work. Then they said the part was taking a while to get it due to covid backlog. Then after months and months, they said they were going to ask the manufacturer for replacement. Apparently the manufacturer approved it and two weeks later I still have no power washer. And to make matters worse, they will never ever pick up the phone. Text, no response. Email, no response. I have no idea how this place is in business.

Had to give 1 star just to be able to review. Possibly the worst business transaction I’ve had. Going on 2 months and still no chain saw. Was told 3 weeks ago it would be ready. Still not ready. Nobody answers the phone and no voice mail. Never again. Awful business experience. Don’t waste your time.

Brought my snowblower in for repair at the end of October 2021. Was committed that my machine will be ready in 4 weeks and all they had to repair was the pull start. After dropping off the machine it was never repaired. I strung along that it will be nixed next week for a week and a half. When I showed up to take my machine back 2 and a half months later the machine was not ready. They committed that if it leave it for one more day they will have it ready by tomorrow. Nothing was done and they they took my $65 deposit. Horrible customer service and feel like I was robbed of my hard earned money and never received Ed any repair service. Don't recommend.

What can I say about the Lawnmower Shop of Bound Brook well. They are the best lawnmower shop! Not many shops are open, many have closed their doors permanently, but the Lawn Mower Shop in Bound Brook still has their doors open to the average customer. Not only do they provide excellent service, they are also honest and fair with their prices. I've bought 2 Commercial Gravely from them. They have serviced them until I sold them. They have fix all my small engine equipment as well as my Commercial Scag mowers. My latest one a little wonder that was not starting, I took it in and within 2 weeks it was fixed. They required a $50 Deposit, which is normal to check over the machine. They called me a few days later with the diagnostic told me my cost to repair it. I gave them the go ahead, within the following week I received my call it was completed and ready for pick up. Couldn't be anymore satisfied it was under $120 with my deposit, a machine worth $1850 new; I would always prefer to repair my equipment at the Lawnmower Shop of Bound Brook. I will keep giving them my business, because they are honest and fair, the reasons why it's a 5 star.

Read my review carefully to save yourself $50 deposit and headache. My snow blower could not start. In early December 2020, I dropped the machine there to get it fixed. They took $50 deposit and promised "I will have the machine back in 7-10 days. $50 will apply toward the total cost". After 10 days, I called and learned that they did not have the part(s) and it would take them 3 months to order and fix. I wanted to support the local business during covid-19 so I agreed to leave the machine there. 3 months passed and they never called to update the status of my machine. Today I called and learned that they still did NOT order the part. I asked for my machine back and they refused to return my $50 deposit. $50 is not much, but I don't know why this store would take money from customers for doing absolutely nothing. Yes, we know it does not start, and yes, we know that it might need part. Why would you treat local residents this way, take money and do absolutely nothing? I thought we would support one another during the pandemic, not take advantages of customers. Just because we're Asian, the shop took advantage and got away with our money.

Before you give them your non refundable $50 deposit, know that they will take 4 times as long as they say just to look at your machine. I dropped off a power washer (that I need for my business) and they told me they'd let me know what was wrong with my machine and how much it would cost. Turns out they ONLY HAVE ONE REPAIR PERSON on staff. After 6 weeks of waiting I asked for my machine back. They gave me the run-around and said it wasn't accessible so I told them I'll be there tomorrow to pick it up and I expect my $50 returned since they DID NOT KEEP THEIR END OF THE AGREEMENT. The agreement is in writing on the slip they give you when you drop off the machine. So When I got there, they gave me my power washer after 30 mins of waiting and it was IN PIECES. Nothing like the way I brought it to them. The only problem it had was it wasn't hold the pressure like it should. They gave me a $500 estimate to repair and told me, "since we looked at it, we don't have to give you the $50 back. BEWARE. Afterward, I spoke to my vehicle mechanic and he told about a similar situation and how the people there don't really care about their customers. There are more small engine repair shops. Save yourself the grief and find someone else to fix your power washer or lawn mower. THE LAWN MOWER SHOP (Bound Brook, NJ) DOESN'T CARE ABOUT YOU OR YOUR EQUIPMENT.

FRAUD, LIERS, SCAM WARRANTY CLAIM THROUGH SEARS THEY CLAIMED THE REPAIR WAS A FUEL LINE TO SEARS AND INFORMED SEARS THE REPAIR WAS DONE. We were told we left the gas in engine two long ...2 months? Told spark plugs and carburetor on a new machine needed replacement 200+ dollars We opted to not go ahead with repair scam. They returned blower with loose screws and not fully assembled and drenched in gasoline My next report is to the BBB.

Brought in a 30 year-old Ariens self-propelled walk-behind mower with BBC for service. While it took longer than I had hoped (chain saws and snow blowers took priority) for the work to be done, I received the mower in time for cutting season. After a few weeks of use I had to bring the mower back to have the BBC adjusted. Turnaround time then was 3 weeks with 1 hour of work billed. Because of the contraction in the number of area small engine shops, remaining businesses (including Lawn Mower Shop) have been under increased pressures due to strong demand. With fewer number of available shops to do the work, turn-around times have increased. If you examine ratings of these types of shops they all average in the low 3s with the exception of 1 or 2. In general, if you look at the reviews, there aren't a lot of satisfied customers of small engine shops as many reviewers complain about the lengthy turnaround and poor customer service. My point is, under current market conditions, it doesn't matter where you take a lawn mower to be fixed, it is going to take longer than you want to get it back. Overall, I feel I paid a fair price to get my mower back up and running. My experience is that this shop does quality work. However, I would have appreciated more frequent status followups including realistic setting and managing of my expectations. Had they done that I would have given them a 5.

Small mom and pop type of place with very friendly and reasonably priced service. The repair to my leaf blower was done quickly and was very affordable. Also they are a Sears authorized service center, which may not mean much when Sears goes under. But for now it's good to know. Only negative is that it can be hard to reach them by phone.

Been in there twice. Every time I have seen upset customers. Workers shrug it off. Paid $35 to see a tech. Waited 10 days. Blower was completely assembled when I brought it in. Was told not worth fixing and wa handed it back completely not assembled. Things falling off of it. Blower still runs and will work but completely in shambles. I called and was told there was a sign saying they do not assemble if you do not fix. Bad business. Only got 1 star because I had to give in order to write a review. I never write reviews I always give benefit of doubt.

friendly staff and fair prices BUT prepare for long repair times and unanswered phone calls. to be fair, I know they've had mechanic staffing issues and the girls at the counter are always super nice and friendly. quoted 2 weeks for routine service of my riding mower. week 2 they said it was on the lift and almost done. week 3 they said it wasn't even looked at yet. after daily calls and a few stops at the store, I got my mower back at 4 weeks and 1 day. machine runs great and price was fair... just longer than expected wait time.
