Not sure but my car was toe to auto body and somebody stole my gas in my gas tank they had to have the keys to get the gas There was 2 tow trucks involved this was one of them
If I can give this place zero stars I would…The pricing for a stay that didn’t even last 24 hours is absolutely unreasonable. On top of that, the staff was incredibly rude—one of the female employees even hung up on me when I simply asked a question. Professionalism is essential in any establishment, especially those dealing with the public. If your staff members are this unhappy in their roles, perhaps customer service isn’t the right fit for them. I strongly suggest hiring individuals who are not only capable but also genuinely invested in providing respectful and professional service.
I don’t ever leave reviews…but being charged over 170% is unreal.
With experience with nj state pd impounding same car for around the same distance and being kept for even shorter timeframe at lot— can’t even fathom how the J&M charges over 170% than another towing company — and the other company’s rep isn’t all that great and they charged less than $250. Find it unbelievable the cost was over $420 — for a tow less than 10 miles and kept less than 24hrs. I understand you guys are business.. but there’s no need to have that price point at that ridiculous markup..
Kevin helped me get off the side of the road with a dead Tesla - although he wasn’t trained on how to handle the car, he had helped me with his expertise by learning alongside with me and not abandoning me in the process.
Kevin went the extra step and towed the vehicle in the safest manner possible with minimal dragging of the car onto the bed and stayed alongside with me until the car was able to turn back on
Although I believe the pricing was unjust, they were fast and efficient. And at 3am when all those towing companies in the area refused to answer OR help, they save my day.
My car got wrongly impounded and they charged me for two days when the car was there overnight. Came with the paperwork to get my car the next day and they charged me an outrageous price to get my car that I was forced to pay or I would have to pay more the next time I would try to get my car. Also made me sit outside in the street waiting for my car. Just awful people and awful business. If they weren’t working with the police station in Wayne they would not have business.
Awful and rude. I called this morning asking for a Tow, and the lady asked me how "what car is it" and i thought she said "how far" so i told her and with an immense attitude shouted "NO HOW FAR IS IT". I asked her why she has an attitude and instead of apologizing she says "because you misunderstood what i said". sad people will just hire anyone these days. i can only imagine how much money she has scared off.

When we requested a detailed printout of our charges, the guy repeatedly said he would provide it after we paid . After we insisted, he finally wrote it down on a piece of paper.
They also never disclosed any prices when they picked up the vehicle.
The guy driving the tow truck at 8pm on route 80. Goes onto my lane almost hitting me. My kids in the car. The exit by woodland park has a stop sign. He did not stop
1st the man that picked up the car wouldn’t take it to where I wanted him to, 2nd insurance was to pay for the 2 days it was on their lot $550 which is alot just for 2 days. When we got there to give a release to my mechanic they forced us to pay the $550 them knowing insurance was going to pay. Then when I called they claimed no one forced anyone to pay. Although the gentleman on the phone was trying to be nice about the situation he was still trying to defend the actions of who ever forced us to pay that outrageous fee when it was already explained the insurance company was handling the fee. Avoid this place at all cost.
So much attitude and so little patience for working customer service. This was my first time calling any towing service and before I can answer their questions I got hung up on twice in the middle of speaking. Horrible service!!!!
First let me say, this place takes advantage of People, please make sure you ask rate of car being there otherwise they wont say a thing until you need to pick up the car and make you pay an astronomical amount. it should be their responsibility to disclose how much it would cost per day. the gentleman told me we didnt ask.. our son was in an accident and who thinks of all the questions to ask, Again, they should DISCLOSE Rates !!
Absolutely horrible people to deal with. I can’t believe Wayne has accidents automatically go to them. For everyone else giving reviews after suffering an accident, let the mayor of Wayne know, if he wants a salary, then he needs to work for it. DROP J&M immediately. Get rid of who ever answer your phones. People needed help retrieving their cars after being hospitalized due to an accident that wasn’t even their fault and you offered absolutely no help despite being given All Information.
I got towed from here and started throwing random charges to collect more money.
They charged me for two nights even though i picked my car up the following morning.
I figured this place was sketchy with 2 stars once i was searching for my car last night. 7/26/23.
The website also stated open 24hr, it’s a complete lie. They won’t help you out until the following morning at 8:30am so they can easily charge you a second night.
Once i picked up my car from their lot, it had scratches and dents on my doors.
They’re scummy. Don’t give them your service at all so can go bankrupt by up-charging their customers.
My husband got into an accident and they brought our car to J&M towing. We had to get out stuff from the car since it was totalled, but my husband forgot the EZPass. We called the company the 1st thing the next day and they let us come back for the EZPass. We greatly appreciated the opportunity to deal with such nice people in our time of need. Thank you, J&M Towing.
Awful service 0 stars if I could, I was in a no fault, same day tried to retrieve my items and was asked to call the next day, then was demanded to pay $175 to empty my vehicle. After several attempts I was ganged up on by 3 different employees starting no one thinks about them and they need to get paid, asked me for the title and told me to sign my vehicle over to junk and they will give me my stuff, to see one of them hand over only my baby's car seat and told me I can have the rest of my things when I bring $650 or the insurance for the at fault party. NJ state police informed me they are weird, cannot deny me access to my personal items and to be persistent. I returned for my belongings and asked for the owners info, which then I was able to retrieve my stuff to find my car has been vandalized inside as they were searching for my title and other things they can take. My belongings were filled with soot and debris from them placing car parts inside my vehicle with no regards to my personal items or situation being 1,000 miles from home they definitely took advantage of the circumstances, were very rude and unsparing.
My car got towed on Friday. The guy told me to come the next day, I called next morning, told me that they are open. When I went nobody answered. I called the same number again, I told the guy if somebody is there because I called 20m earlier to check. He said to drop my attitude and that he does not care and I have to wait till Monday to get my car. They charging me four days. I have to go early Monday to pick it up. Terrible experience.
Horrible customer service the woman that works there was the only person you should speak to if you decide to use this extremely unprofessional towing service. The man was rude and disrespectful. There is no reason why he should be working there if he is going to treat his PAYING customer that way. When I say paying I mean paying the premium. Because they deal with Wayne police they think they can treat customers like garbage. I very rarely write reviews I just had to on this business because I felt extremely violated. Wayne needs to work with a better towing service asap. 0 stars absolutely terrible.
I spent an hour waiting when they were just 5 minutes away from where my car was broken down. They also charged me $125 FOR JUST MOVING it hardly a block down to the ETD. The man who helped me and quick and easy, but the price was outrageous for how quick of a drop off it was.
Nothing short of a miracle! J&M Towing was recommended when I got locked out of my car. The service truck came very quickly. Javier, the driver, was superb. He opened the car in just a few minutes. Sooo very grateful am I!!!
JM towed my collector car today from my house to a local shop. I can’t say enough about the driver who understood the value of the car and took extra precautions while loading and unloading. The driver was very professional and friendly. Work like this deserves to be applauded. Will definitely use JM again if needed. Thanks guys
Awesome towing and road side service company. I woke up with a flat tire on my car and the bolts were not coming off easy. So I called and they were at my door in 10 minutes. There was a couple of issues mostly with the car but they got it fixed fast and ready for me to head to work and make it on time. I highly recommend calling J&M for all your towing and roadside needs.
Called for a tow at 7:30 Tow truck was to arrive in 1 hour it didn’t arrive until 9:15. As the driver was getting ready to mount my car, he receive a call and told me he had to leave to pick up a car involved in an accident. He took off and left me stranded. Thanks to Criger’s towing service that came within 15 minutes after I called. Did not trust or use J&M service. Check out their review ratings.
Poor road side assistance service. Called triple A & they told me this company only has 1 driver in the Wayne area. It will take almost 3 hours for my car to be towed from the highway when the ETA was 45 minutes. I would give this place ZERO STARS if I could. Don’t work with Triple A if you don’t have the bodies to handle road side assistance!!
Had an accident in Wayne NJ Passaic County Sheriff called these guys. The tow driver leaped in my car backed it up with ny wheel bent! Once on his truck I told him where I wanted it he told me NO have to take ot to my shop or you need to pay me on the spot this way your insurance covers everything don't worry and he pulls away! I asked the officers to at least give me a card. The next day at 11 am my auto shop requested they tow my car to them. I went to their shop signed a release form at 11:15 am they waited 24 hours to tow it and only because I took a pic of release form (because I heard of their horrible practices). The one star is for Zavier&Joy who were at the office when I arrived Zavier was nice and professional. He deserves 5 stars but the overall company not even 1!

I think they have some sort of connect with the police department. After my accident, this is the company they called. Had I known they would be this rude, I would have said no. It makes me really sad that they have so many bad reviews but no one does anything about it. Sure I can complain to the BBB but that also doesn’t help.
My insurance company had to try FIVE TIMES to get it towed to the auto body shop. I believe the individuals name is Robert and if I’m wrong, it’s the young white guy at the desk answering the phone calls and taking care of whoever comes through the front door. He is very mean and nasty. I too could also play the race card but at this point I think that’s just his personality. He talks down to his customers. I don’t know why they bother responding to reviews saying “please get back to us with more information”, for what? So you could be rude with my family and I again. Pathetic.
Please train your employees to treat their customers like decent human beings. After an accident, nearly facing death, I don’t want to be talked down to or treated like scum. Have some empathy for Christ sake.
Deserves 0 stars! Local police officer insisted I use this company because it would be fast. After they picked up my car, I spoke with a very rude employee named Robert who has no filter when he speaks. I asked him to e-mail release forms to have my car towed to a service location because I do not have a fax and he made no attempt to accommodate my needs. They are of course going to charge me for keeping my car overnight. I pleaded with him and expressed that I have twin babies and an older child and cannot get around town without my car. He screamed at me to the point where we ended up having a shouting match. Do not use this company!
Update: They e-mailed the release form the next day, but insisted I come in person to pay. I had to engage the help of the local police to have my vehicle released. J&M are making me pay through a 3rd party to ensure I will not dispute the expense for holding my vehicle. I suppose they are doing that because they know I would win the claim. I can't believe they have contracts with the town. It's insane!
If I could put zero I would probably put zero. This is definitely not the towing company you want to go with especially after having a car accident. When questioning how much it will cost to get the car out the driver said he had no idea when typically he should know a basic response and his answer was I had to call the owner the next day. If you've been in the business this long to should've been a simple answer. The next day when I called no one told me that I needed to sign a waiver or form authorizating release. All three times I called they gave me the runaround answer which I felt only meant to keep my car there longer. When I confronted them on this they blamed it on me and said I wasn't listening and got extremely defensive. During the time of the accident I was not aware that the police officer in Wayne police had called a tow truck for me and although I appreciate that he did that he should have told me that the car would have to be towed I would have called AAA. There must be some type of scam going on with the department and this towing company because just their demeanor the way they act and the way they kept giving me the wrong answer shows me to believe that they just want to scam you and it's sad that the police department in Wayne New Jersey uses them. This towing company definitely has a race problem and extremely bad customer service. The officer told me that I would get a ride home from the gentleman that was towing my car and unfortunately he did not give me a ride home he pulled over at a Dunkin' Donuts on route 46 and said you can call someone to pick you up. Had I known this information that I wasn't going to get a ride home I would've made arrangements to have a family member pick me up or meet me on the scene of the accident instead of making me get out of the tow truck with no other option. Again I cannot believe that the Wayne police department uses their service which makes me to believe that there some type of scam going on between them
Excellent service, used good sam, gcr and loves truck repair. No one was able to do Roadside repairs on our RV. Had a blow out waited 5 hours. One call to J & M and 30 minutes fixed. Also ordered 4 new tires and changed them in the morning. Faster service then any other tire shop with an appointment. Big thanks to Cornbread. Let us use the shop parking lot to stay the night. Hooked up the water for us so we could keep everyone showered and happy. Great pricing and no need to haggle. You won't find a lower price or better service. My first on line review.
