Trash company all together. Got a motor that supposedly had 56k. Timing chain and sprockets bad. Find out after its installed and now gonna cost me $600 for a rebuild kit and $1000 for the labor. Offered $200 refund to replace the cam sprocket or take the motor back out pay $300 to have it shipped back and hope the next one is good. Then pay another $1500 to have it put in.. definitely contacting BBB and disputing this with my bank. Better off buying from junk yard
Bought a Nissan MR20DE engine from them. Good communication from the business and ended up getting free local delivery same day (win). Changed seals and had to reseal and reuse my old oil pan because the one on the replacement motor looked damaged from handling (so maybe 4.5 stars) but some work to be expected with any used engine. Installed about a month ago and its running smooth so far. Wouldn't hesitate to buy from this business again.

2 engines both froze after being driven less than 20 miles. Not saying it’s their fault, just crap luck for me. After a little leg work on my part they did honor their warranty and refund me since I didn’t want to try for a third.
If you do purchase through them, I recommend purchasing through the site not over the phone.

Untrustworthy- We received 2 bad transmissions from them; Not 1, but 2!!!! I purchased a transmission for 2014 Subaru Forrester, a car known for reliability. The first transmission was installed and found to have a bad “Valve body”. We then had to get it removed, wait for them to send a replacement. They sent another transmission and 6 weeks later it locked up while going down the interstate an hour away from home. Left us stranded. We called, again, and were given run around, from a man who could barely speak English, and told to contact a warranty company from Japan. Run Forrest run!!!

Bought a transmission from them, transmission was already making sounds when I first got it, it also broke down on me a couple times and it cost me a lot of money. In the end it was no good
I had bought a Mazda RX-8 engine from this company with an 90 day warranty and after the engine had came in my mechanic let me know that there were problems. I contacted the company numerous times and they gave me the run around and as the warranty expired they did not want to honor the warranty. I never got a response from the company until after my warranty was expired and now they are claiming “oh the warranty is expired, there’s nothing we can do”. I would not recommend ever purchasing from this company due to the lack of honesty and professionalisms. I would rate this company negative stars if possible!!!!! I had purchased the engine on May 5th. I contacted someone thru email on June 15th and they replied and stopped replying to me shortly after. See below for advertised warranty.
I recently purchased an engine for a Toyota Prius from this company to replace my blown engine. The engine arrived just short of a week from ordering and looked very clean inside and out so I believe the 50-60k miles claims. It runs smooth and quiet and it has not used any oil or coolant in the 3000 miles I have put on it so far, it actually is getting a few mpg better than the 223k miles engine it replaced. I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase again from this company.
UPDATE, about one year in and I have put 40,000 miles on this engine. The engine still runs like new, doesn’t leak or burn any fluids, absolutely zero problems with this engine.
So far so good! Purchased a lexus ls430 transmission on the 22nd of March and received it today the 28th. Fast shipping. I'll update when installed in a few days. Thanks JDM engine direct!
My son's 2002 Celica GT needed a new motor and JDM had the 2003/2004 motor ready to ship. Great price and shipped as promised. My mechanic here said it was one of the cleanest used engines he had ever seen and it was clearly NOT steam cleaned because where it should be a little dirty, it was. We just picked up the car today so hopefully this one will work for years to come.
One of the best customer service experiences I have ever got from a company. Had a minor issue with finding a shipping company to get the items shipped to my area. But they had went over and beyond to find a shipping company to accommodate and I truly appreciate that! Great company, amazing communication wouldn’t hesitate to do future business! Bought a 4 cylinder engine for my daughter's Toyota RAV4 so far the experience has been great but I've only bought it a few days ago, I dealt with John in purchase and dock guys put it in my SUV with forklift. I have not got a chance to install yet I will let you know in the future how it works out otherwise it was a good experience praying that the engine is a good one came from Japan.
DONT BUY. I bought an engine from these guys long story short when i received the engine it came seran wrapped to a pallet laying on its side not to mention it took almost 3 weeks to receive the engine. My mechanic gets the engine installed he takes it on a 2 mile test drive to find out the coolant is mixing with the oil. I call to put in a warranty claim the manager Carlos says there’s nothing they can do about my warranty expired 10 days ago. DO. NOT BUY. FROM THIS SHOP
My experience was less than desirable with this company at first they were very friendly I even drove two hours one way to pay them in cash for the engine I needed for my 2004 RX8 call while I was there they compression test of the engine in front of me and it was low but they were also using a half dead battery on a charger to check it so I was assured by their mechanic that once in the car getting some oil into it with a good battery compression would come back and it would be fine and due to the nature of rotaries and the engine probably sitting for a little bit. At the end of our transaction I had a piece of paper that was signed by one of the workers that handled my entire bill stating that normally we do not warranty rotary engines but in my case they would be willing to do a 30 day warranty at this point unfortunately that was not the case and I now have an engine that won’t run and has even worse compression then before, I’m still within the 30 days and when finally getting a hold of them I was told they can’t do anything for me the only thing that they are willing to do is charge me a 10% restocking fee and give me my money back or I can wait until whenever they get another engine in that is good for my car which I was told could be a few weeks when I asked if I could have a partial reimbursement for the money that I spent with them I was told no and that they are only willing to charge me the 10% fee or I can wait and that’s alI. I spent money with this company because I was told that I would be getting a good running engine that I would not have to worry about and I do understand the nature of rotary engines and how they can be unreliable but with being Assured that this engine would be good and even given a warranty! But not even being able to put a mile on it I am totally unhappy with this company and how they do business.
Can't say enough Great things about these guys!!!! I purchased a 2004 Acura TL Transmission from them and while picking it up they recommended a mechanic shop close by that did the install for less than half my mechanics in my area charge.
The Transmission runs absolutely fine AND I have a new Mechanic. I called these guys to express how elated I was with not only their product but the care they had to recommend their mechanic to me. I'll be purchasing two more transmissions from these guys in the next 3 months.
I don't know about the bad reviews but one thing people must take into account is these are not brand new so there is a chance they may be bad (As with anything used) but the odds are pretty low. That Doesn't warrant a poor review especially when they stand by their products in the event the transmission is bad. These guys pick up the phone and respond to email prompty. Nothing but Quality service. I genuinely appreciate these guys and look forward to going back to get the remaining two transmissions that I need.
If this were a 5 star rating system I would give them a 10 and I am not the type to go online to write a review but these guys surpassed my expectations by a SUPER long shot!!!! Respect!!!
Previously purchased a transmission for my 2004 TL, I was very nervous due to previous reviews BUT my experience was completely pleasant! However I did receive the first transmission and it was bad, but the guy had NO ISSUES when it came to exchanging it! I cannot tell you how many times I had to call him because the mechanic I used had absolutely no idea what he was doing but Carlos answered my calls EVERY TIME and tried to guide me through what it was that had to be done. After finding out the transmission was bad he had me go to his mechanic who I highly recommend and we then had a new transmission put into it. He was a pleasure to do business with and I will definitely be back!
Bought a Jdm k20a lsd type r swap at a very affordable and decent price ,motors are great and wonderful service ,delivered at fast past. Will love to do more business in the future. Highly recommended.
