The man who towed my car was lovely. The woman who I interacted with multiple times since Thursday is one of the most rude, unprofessional people I have ever spoken to. She originally quoted me $345 after my car was towed on Thursday night. She then stated I could not drive my car off the lot and that it would be an additional $200 for them to tow it. They also gave me a contract to sign stating the storage fee was $50 per day. When I pointed out that that goes against the maximum rates they have posted, the staff person told me that was a "good catch" by me and he would fix it. I shared this with the woman who told me that it was obviously a mistake and I should get over that. When I called today after repeated negative interactions trying to find a way to get my car out of their lot, she yelled at me because I questioned their pricing scheme and asked for a price breakdown based on the Stafford Township, Ocean County, and NJAC ordinances. They have both Stafford Township and Ocean County posted in their office. She screamed that I was the one being difficult and I didn't understand how the ordinances work. She said NJ Administrative Codes do not apply to them. Then told me I could not pay over the phone, so I would have to commute two hours to allow my car to be removed. When I got there, she yelled at me again, called me difficult, and told the other worker that I wasn't understanding the ordinances that they have posted. When I pointed out the differences in the legally admissible charges and what she had quoted me since Thursday, she said that I didn't understand what she was saying. She refused to give an itemized invoice twice. She also quoted the person next to me $850 for their tow and winching without providing any invoice. I'm not sure if it is just the people who were working or if it is a pattern for the company to not provide itemized invoices to customers and scream at those who ask for a pricing breakdown, but the experience I just had was the worst customer experience I have ever had. I would also like to stress that I did not request the tow, the Stafford Township PD did, and this is how this woman acted. I work a customer service job. I understand that customers can be wrong. What I don't understand is how they took the opportunity of a car being totaled to repeatedly attempt to overcharge a customer, scream at them multiple times, and accuse them of being difficult for asking for a price description and how that pricing scheme fits into mandatory maximums as required by law. I highly recommend going to Midnite Towing. A complaint has been filed with New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs. For the record: max fees for towing a Class 1 car - $175. Storage fees/day - $35.

Very friendly and efficient. Just unbelievable service. They stayed late to get us back on the road. Can't say enough good about them.

Got stuck in a mud pit in the Pine Barrens. Had to walk 1/4 mile to get cell service and called them. Dispatcher couldn’t hear me and could’ve let me go but she told me to text her, that worked and I was able to send my location. Driver was the nicest guy and got my car out quickly, then offered to let me follow him out to make sure I made it the whole way. They did a great job and I appreciated it!

They do not follow the official Predatory Towing Prevention Act Rules & Regulations & Laws of NJ. They seem to be clueless as to how legitimate towing practices are to be adhered to. They tried to install no parking signs on Private Property without the Private Property Owners permission. They replied as to what they were doing on that Private Property as the following & I quote. "The tenant of these premises simply called them up & said that their Attorney said it was ok, so that's all they needed to hear (ARE YOU KIDDING ME) & South Shore Towing proceeded to install these signs illegally, until they were caught & stopped. Their business must be really slow to do something this stupid. Good news is, if you need anything referring to Towing done Illegally, they're the one to call... they don't have any legal right to put signs up on property they don't own. South Shore Towing was on my private property attempting to install signs that were never legally authorized. South Shore was wrong, just admit it. South Shore needs to take a refresher course in NJ towing rules & regulations.

Needed southshore to move a larger, loaded tool box. Work was performed fast and reliably, with no damage. Joe was the driver. Great guy. Definitely recommended.

I crashed my car and they ended up towing my car and when I went the next day the lady in the office was very helpful on what would be the best course of action for me and a cheaper bill for me.

Of course no one wants to be stuck on the side of the road, but the situation was a lot easier because of South Shore towing. They were prompt, courteous and did an amazing job. I am so grateful they were there to tow my car. Highly recommend!

I have found South Shore towing to be incredibly honest and professional. Everyone there, from the employees to the owner, is aboveboard, friendly, and very accommodating. We had an unfortunate accident in our family, and they were helpful, kind, and compassionate. I appreciate them being so accommodating and I have heard from others the same thing, especially in the other services they offer. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to family and friends.

I had unfortunate car trouble the other day and south shore towing showed up for me immediately. Lou, the gentleman who helped me was kind, patient and meticulous. I was grateful for his help and service. If you are in need of a tow for any reason and live in ocean county, NJ, I would highly recommend giving South Shore Towing a call!!

Definitely don’t recommend this company nicely asked The Guy to not to start the vehicle because they had a check engine light and had to go to the dealership. The car was in the road ready for him to pick up. He starts the car and drives it onto the bed rather than doing his job and towing it onto the bed, which is the point of a tow truck. Updated . The tow truck driver was facing the opposite way asking how are we going to get this car on. He ask ME HOW ARE WE GETTING THE CAR ON WITH OUT STARTING AS HE IS TOW TRUCK DRIVER so I told him to turn around and pick the car up. Everything is on camera. The check engine light is flashing. That means the car is not drivable or should it run that’s why the car couldn’t start so you guys don’t even know what’s wrong with the car and you’re stating to me that you could start my vehicle. Which now this works out even better I have you admitting that you started my car. Also when I called your office to see why the guy started the car and drove it up onto the bed when I went inside real quick the lady started getting loud at me telling me that it’s safer to start the car and drive it up rather than dragging the car but then when I ask, don’t you put the car in neutral and rather then drag it up isn’t that the point of a tow truck. How does a Vehicle get on a tow truck when it doesn’t have an engine in it . Then the lady got very mad at me and told them to call them the next day and now they won’t answer. You guys are a joke

So many nice things I can say about this business. The woman who helped us in the office was so amazing she was kind and really cared for our situation and help us out. The young gentleman that towed the car for us both days has such a forgiving heart and we are so grateful for him and all the help he provided. They both were truly a blessing to us. Thank you.

Truly thankful for this crew! What they do on the daily is not for the weak! In our situation we had on 8/17 These guys were wonderful I can’t say enough they were so kind and helpful went above and beyond for us with suggestions of a hotel and rental to giving us a ride to the hotel! First time using a towing company when my car had a mechanical failure and Joe Cool did an amazing job , quality equipment and felt like I was in the right hands in this situation, thank you. My car also is lower than usual (sport) and had no normal front tow spot which had me worried, but there was nothing to worry about and everything got on the truck no problems, they know what they're doing great service.

I have honestly never experienced such a nice Towing company in all of my life. Pete and Chris were so helpful, guiding me through A very difficult experience. My car was hit while it was parked and it was destroyed by someone who was being irresponsible and they were very patient understanding and are assisting me every inch of the way it is not their responsibility yet they pride themselves in customer service. Clearly, I am very shaken up by this whole matter, because I have lost a car that meant a lot to me and thatvI’ve worked very hard to take care of and paid for. I at least owe them this awesome review because they so deserve it.

My truck broke down and my insurance provider sent South Shore Towing out. They got there quick and did a great job. Adam was the driver, super nice guy and clearly knew what he was doing. He also perfectly placed my vehicle exactly where I asked which wasn’t an easy spot. Overall exceeded my expectations, thanks Adam!

AARP arranged to have South Shore Towing pick up my disabled car at the Tuckerton Acme within 60 to 90 minutes. They were to call me 20 minutes before getting there. and I was supposed to meet him there. I waited 90 minutes by the phone. AARP called me back and said that South Shore couldn't reach me by phone, couldn't find the car and was no longer interested. Here's the truth: I sat by the phone for 90 minutes and they never called me. My car was visible as soon as anyone entered the Acme lot. My educated guess is that they decided they didn't want the job and made up a story to get out of it. The company that actually came all the way from Toms River was super. He told me to leave the key in the car and he would pick it up in an hour. He even called me as soon as he put my car on his truck. Now that's 5-star service.

Lost our car keys on the last day of our LBI rental and needed to tow our car back up to Northern NJ. AAA and a few other companies were unable to help us but South Shore Towing came to the rescue! Super helpful on the phone and their driver John showed up within 45 minutes and was a true professional and a lovely human. Can't say enough nice things about him and his company. Highly recommend!

They towed 2 vehicles for me , one on Saturday long distance and then one on Sunday locally with two different tow trucks. I was lucky enough to get the same operator two days in a row who is very knowledgeable and an excellent operator !!!! and they have excellent equipment , and showed up on time to a pre-scheduled appointment both days , truly a professional operation !!!! I highly recommend anyone do business with them !!!!!

I have Tesla Model Y. I had a flat tire on Sunday and no spare tire. Most of the flat tire shops were closed. Tesla road assistance provides only 50 miles of coverage. I request the tow driver to drop me at home and then drop the car at the Cherry Hill service station. He drove smoothly my car on the flatbed and safely drop me at home. Very helpful staff. I strongly recommend this towing company.

Called Stone Shore Towing to set up a tow from in town and didn't realize I didn't have my wallet. Danielle the dispatcher sent the truck while I called home to get my debit card number so that I could pay for the tell and we would lose no time. The driver had most of the paperwork completed by the time they got to me, got my car up on the flatbed, and dropped my car off to the location that I requested. This Crew is very friendly and very professional I highly recommend them!

Awesome. They did a technically difficult flatbed tow in bad weather in the mud. The driver John was polite, professional, and took great care of the cargo. The price was extremely reasonable in my opinion. Will most certainly use again and I absolutely recommend them.

I had a nightmare scenario on vacation when my car broke down and had to get towed a total of 3 times. Each time I used South Shore and they were courteous, understanding, and helpful throughout the entire process. Chris was especially helpful in directing me to garage's that could service my vehicle the quickest. 10/10 would recommend to everyone I know.

This company may be quick to "pickup" but not to RELEASE your vehicle! They will make excuses to keepbyour vehicle there longer (means more $$ for them), especially if they are NOT designated to tow the vehicle to the repair shop. I called...manager not there....NO ONE could get on the phone and explain what happened or who refused to let my repair shop pickup the NEXT morning.They tried to blame the repair shop...how greedy and unprofessional. I have been in contact with the repair shop twice a day.... If the police didn't call them....I never would have and never will. Had I known better...I would have refused them.

So, I was pretty much having an awful day. I broke down last night on the garden state parkway on my way down to Atlantic City. It was dark, rainy and really dangerous. Naturally, I couldn’t think straight and was a little panicky thinking about what could happen. Luckily for me, I called South Shore Towing and even more lucky to get Ted G to arrive super fast and save the day. Ted showed up, was so positive and upbeat. He changed my mood instantly and I felt immediately safe and relieved. He towed the car back to my house and was an absolute pleasure to deal with and share a car ride with. Thank God for John from South Shore Towing & Recovery. Me and my Family was stuck in no where land that I know of right off the Garden State Parkway with a blow out tire(run flat tire) in my 2017 Infiniti Q50. He was quick and very helpful with getting us back home safely driving us over 60miles to our destination. If I can give more than 5 stars up here. I sure will. Thank You once again
