Stopped by and had their Ghost Ship burger with a local beer - just awesome! The atmosphere was great, the food tasty and the staff is nice! And the beer, brewed few blocks from the place... Well I'm not a huge to fan of beers, but this one I've loved very much, I believe it's wheat, BTW. Short - if you happen to be hungry and even if not - worthy each inch to stop here!

The Christmas drinks were absolutely adorable, festive, creative, and delicious. The service was fantastic too: friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Perfect Saturday night experience. Will definitely be back!

By far the greatest addition to Point Pleasant in a very long time. The staff is the best around, friendly, fast and fun. The bar always has a great crowd full of welcoming patrons. The menu has so much to offer and the food is great. The ghost ship burger is the best burger in town, the skinny fries are better than McDonalds…I know, bold statement but true! From gator bites to seafood boils, short rib nachos to poke bowls, there is something for everyone. The options are far from boring and always delicious. Add live music and and an outdoor area and you have one of the best spots at the Jersey Shore!

Such a great place to be at. The staff is wonderful, so accommodating, a real family vibe . Coldest draft beer ever. Food is fantastic. Great place to unwind, or to catch some awesome live music. Just a home run anyway you look at it

Hands down best bar in the area! Local culture is out of this world in the winter and during the summer is the best place to be for a good crowd. Bartenders genuinely couldn’t be any better!

Boatyard is hands down the best bar in the jersey shore. Great specials great bartenders and great managment. What else can you ask for? Well I couldn't ask for much more, when I go into boatyard I get that warm fuzzy feeling similar to how i feel when i get into a freshly made bed. Except I'm being served cold coors lights and delicious food, Is there a better way to get away from the wife and kids? No... No there's not

Boatyard 401 is the best local bar in the area! Staff and bartenders are very friendly, especially Chris. Food is great whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner. A great place for just a bite to eat or a fun night out

Best bar in the local area and my favorite bartender Chris always hooks it up! Great spot for any kind of vibe you’re feeling while going out to the bar. Ubers are always in the area too which is great!

We had our wedding night before “welcome party” here for approximately 65 ppl. It was amazing!! Management was extremely timely with email responses and pricing was reasonable. The day of all staff were very attentive and accommodating! Bar tenders were excellent as well and served all guests quickly and efficiently with high quality service. Service was excellent all night!! Definitely recommend for any party or event! Can’t wait to go back again!

Our first time, and it didn't disappoint. The shrimp wrap was delicious along with the fries and fried clams app.

Celebrated my Grandma’s 100th Birthday in Point Pleasant! We did some shopping and rolled into Boathouse 401 around 4pm. The atmosphere is relaxed, and most of the meal was very chill, we had great conversations. Somewhere between 5 and 5:30pm it became a little loud as more people filled the surrounding tables. After some time, my aunt couldn’t hear what my grandma was saying, but because she was trying repeatedly to talk louder and my aunt still couldn’t understand her it became a source of great laughter. We laughed so hard, my grandma almost fell off her chair. I’ve never seen her laugh so hard. We were all just present, enjoying the moment together, laughing together, and nothing else mattered…the memory makes me smile, and I’m really grateful for that. Our server was a pro. She was cool, cheerful, knew the menu well and helped select appetizers. Unfortunately they were sold out of clam strips which was a bummer, but we recovered fast. Between my grandma, my aunt and myself we finished the nacho appetizer, ate half the crab and spinach dip appetizer, and we all had crab cake sandwiches which were really good. Fries were thick and crispy but soft inside. Nice. Wonderful experience down the shore with my NJ family!

Fantastic Spot by the Marina! Boat Yard 401 is a true hidden gem! The food is absolutely delicious fresh, flavorful, and prepared with care. The service is just as impressive, with a friendly and attentive staff who make you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. The location couldn’t be better, sitting just steps from the marina, offering beautiful views and a relaxed coastal vibe. Whether you’re grabbing a bite after a day on the water or just looking for a great meal in a prime spot, Boat Yard 401 is the place to go. Highly recommend!

Stopped here most recently for happy hour but have been coming here since they opened a few years ago. Food, drinks, service and atmosphere are always great. Lots of local bands play here all year long. Love that they have music outside too. Great place to visit any time of the year, especially if you want to avoid the boardwalk crowds.

Hosted my 30th birthday here over the past weekend and I couldn’t have better things to say about my experience! The service was amazing, the food was raved about, and the space fit everyone comfortably. I had an amazing experience and I would definitely host another event here.

My family and I came here due to their vegan/vegetarian options. We ordered pretzel bites and a personal pizza. The pizza looked pretty good. It was a very thin pie. The bottom looked almost and tasted like matza. I like matza. Ordinarily, I love a beefy slice, but this slice was on my opposite of my spectrum. It was fine for an appetizer. I ordered a shrimp poke bowl. FANTASTIC! I was given chop sticks and used them! LOL! The bowl had an assortment of vegetables. The bowl was full of flavor and PLENTY of shrimp. AND RADISHES! What a wonderful choice to add. Our server, Emily, was GREAT! She made time with us even though she was moving and grooving with the place filling up pretty quickly. Overall, this was a good choice to come eat and hang out!

This is another place that I discovered from good ole Instagram that I had to check out while staying in the area recently. This bar is super cool and has a great fun vibe. I do recommend having a reservation for dinner as this place looks like it gets packed fast. My server was friendly and attentive, and I didn't have too much of a wait time for my food orders in spite of the place being super busy. I ordered the Gator Bites and Shrimp Poboy, and both tasted great. I also had an abundance of food where I couldn't finish it all. This place has a good size food and drinks menu with decent prices and the establishment is clean. This is definitely a place I would add to my return list the next time I stay in Point Pleasant.

I’m not one to be reviewing places we go to. We find a place we love, and then we keep going. Here’s a little backstory. July of 2024, we are invited to a pub crawl for a friend’s birthday. A fun day where we can have a little mom and dad time. After a… less than ideal experience spending $8 for a bottle of yuengling at a crowded outdoor bar. The next stop was Boatyard 401. I immediately was intrigued. Considering the area, there’s always the chance you’re about to walk into a place where pretend fancy NJ jabronis are going to be ordering overpriced seafood broils and $18 cosmos. NOPE! Not Boatyard. We approached and I turned to my better half and said “oh damn. This is a SPOT”. It was a Saturday afternoon after a TORRENTIAL STORM. We were ready for a drink. And the doubled up bar was too. We rolled in with about 30 people ranging in age (let’s say 35 average). And the team behind the bar jumped into action like the Avengers, but instead of Vibranium shields and Gamma Radiation Powers, they were equipped with drink shakers, pint glasses, and AMAZING customer service skills. My instincts kicked in and we went with the margaritas to start. 100/10. Amazing cocktails. However, in the spirit of longevity, we switched to draft beers. Oh, did I mention $2.50 Yuengling drafts, all the damn time. Insane. We were dialed in. And then we saw the menu. We didn’t have to scour the choices for quick snacks like the Boardwalk Fries and Sweet Potato Fries (amazing). And a VEGAN bar pie. My plant based heart (and belly) was full. But the menu is so much bigger than that. Fast forward to August 2024. We had a special occasion and decided to enjoy some drinks in the sunshine outside during the day. The upstairs wasn’t yet opened but that didn’t stop the amazing hostess from getting everything set up for us. Orange crush and margarita to start. Followed by the best battered fried cauliflower I’ve ever had. And my partner went with the ahi tuna nachos. Also incredible. I’ve lived on the Barrier Island my entire life. Bars like this used to be everywhere, but over time we’ve lost these bastions of amazing cocktails, inclusive and delicious menus that don’t require a mortgage for some snacks, jaw dropping happy hour menus, and an unmatched vibe. This review is partially our response to the INSANITY that any person could leave a negative review for this place. And also for the respect deserved as the establishment responds to those negative reviews honestly and directly, but takes no BS from the dorks that (in my opinion) are likely never going to be happy, no matter where they go. But this review is specifically our experience at what is now easily one of our favorite places to go. Every time we go there we are met with smiles and top notch service. And seeing the options for kids, we are excited to make this a spot to bring our little one too. Oh, and the hostess who is there all the time. I’m so sorry we forgot your name for this review, but you are the best.

Came here while on vacation for dinner and thought this place was really great! Besides being one of the only late night spots open in the area, their menu, including their late night menu (10pm-1am), is big, versatile, and perfect for late night bites. We arrived at around 9:30 pm and ordered some gator bites (slightly over fried, but my partner enjoyed them), fried pickles with chipotle (which were my fav), and 2 items from their special dinner menu: chicken fusilli pasta and their fish special. Everything was enjoyable and I liked the atmosphere! I would like to come for lunch and try something new!

Enjoyed the drinks. Fries were crispy. Chicken sandwich had good flavor. Tunna slices were fresh. I'd come back for more.

Wow, we had a great experience at the Boatyard 401 for Mother's Day. Was just expecting basic pub food, but I had fish taco and my wife had her first poke bowl and we both really enjoyed our food. The hostess was super nice and our server was excellent. We highly recommend and will likely go back (maybe not in the summer when the crowds are around though) Thanks Boatyard for the pleasant surprise.
