What clients say about Interstate Batteries in Keansburg (NJ)

I bought a battery for my car from these folks about 4 years ago and I would highly recommend them and Interstate batteries in general and I haven’t had a day’s trouble with them or my battery and I will tell you why. My car is 8 years old and I bought it new. The secret to making a battery last for 4 to 6 years is fairly simple. Car’s built in this last 10 to 15 years all have one undeniable feature in common, electrical parasitic draw. When your car is just sitting there doing nothing there is constant power draw on the battery and it doesn’t matter what brand of battery it is and there is only one way to effectively deal with it as follows I only drive maybe 75 miles a week and of course my battery is always being drained of current. The effective solution is as follows; buy yourself a CTEK brand battery charger that runs about $100, best battery maintainers on the market. There are 2 ways to hook it up to your car. You can either just hook it up using the alligator clips or you can use the more permanent solution which allows the charger to be hard wired to the battery and you merely just hook or unhook the connector to the battery which takes all of 10 seconds which is the manner in which I chose to install mine. I also plugged in the charger to a daily timer which turns on the charger at 11pm and shuts it off at 6am keeping the battery always charged and that’s when electric rates are always at their lowest. As I said my battery is now 4 years old and is strong as the day it was installed. If you maintain the battery as I have outlined you can easily get 4+ years out of it, no sweat.

Bought a Interstate battery and it went dead after 2 months. This location is an hour from me, so they told me that I could take it to their dealer (Picone Auto). I took the battery in and Picone kept telling me that they hadn't processed it yet. This kept going on for six months! Finally, today Picone tells me that they refused to process the warranty. I asked for paperwork and he said they never provided any, but he gave me a number so that I could call in. I called in and spoke to Mark who said that he had no paperwork on the battery and that the driver must have taken it as a core. Like this is my problem as a customer! Then Mark started giving me a hard time about it being 6 months ago. Like it's my fault they didn't process the paperwork for 6 months! I'm sure Mark did process the warranty, got the new battery, and sold it to someone else... this is what kind of a shady place you're dealing with! If you want a bunch of hassle and to get ripped off, then you should buy an Interstate battery.

Thanks for closing early when I called and said I was on my way. You can put the battery back, I'll buy it some where else.
