The front counter lady says she is the supervisor well let me start by saying how rude and unprofessional that lady was I paid for my car the whole amount for the release. Got it the same day it was towed I was charge a day free on top of the tow my tow truck was en route to pick my car up from there lot she was nasty and left to be honest I would never recommend this place to anyone horrible service
It’s unfortunate that I have to take time out of my very positive & productive day to write this negative review. And if I could give it less than a star I would….unfortunately ANYONE who has been here SPECIFICALLY has experienced the same feelings. Discomfort, unpleasant, deceived, angry, upset, uneasy, ETC.
After being in an accident and getting my car towed to this location, I was told by State police I could retrieve my belongings regardless if I paid for the vehicle’s balance or not. Upon arrival the very unprofessional receptionist named Kathy tried to extort & threaten me with an attorney in order to get MY STUFF?! Her nasty attitude and lack of knowledge of state/STORE policy will be the end all fall to this bad business.

2024 Nov 11: My car was towed to their pound as Edison NJ PD called them.
Very professional, fast arriving, always returning calls...However kept my property hostage, until the Bill was settled by the insurance company.
Negative stars would be more appropriate. If you're in an accident and these are the people that show up. Grab everything you can out of your car before they take it away. The workers will steal anything they feel like taking that they know you won't remember and can't prove. All the coins out of my center arm rest were gone and they stuffed the console with broken plastic pieces. Only a few pennies were found scattered in random spots on the floor I know for a fact I had no change laying around the floor and The center did not open during the accident. The tow company tossed my wheel, suspension and broken glass in my trunk on top of all my personal belongings. Whatever I had in bags in our trunk they put it on top of our cargo cover ruining that weighing it down making the cover rip. There was even a black bag of pure legit dirt put on top of it all weighing it down even more for no reason... They specifically took a nearly brand new pack of 36 micro fibers from Costco and a new bottle of chrome cleaner that was sitting in my trunk. My fiance had arrived to the scene of the accident but he was wanting to get to the hospital to where I was being taken so he didnt start taking stuff out since he was told by the officer on scene he'd be able to get any personal belongings out of the car at the tow lot and it will be in a secure place. That was a load of bs. The towing place claimed their insurance doesn't allow anyone on the property to get stuff out of their cars but that their workers can get it together for you. I had to wait to retrieve everything after giving the towing company a form to release my vehicle so it can get towed to the Salvage Yard by my insurance since it was a totalled. That's when I went to clean my car out and noticed the missing items. I'm positive if I said yes to them getting it all for me I would of had even more stuff taken. It's ridiculous and sad how this place takes advantage of others misfortune. I didn't choose to be in an accident but they chose to steal from me. It doesn't matter that what they took wasn't expensive it's the principle of the matter that you really took things from my car and damaged my items.
If I could give this place zero stars I would. Super unprofessional, they were rude on the phone to both me and my auto insurance agent as well. They wouldn't let me get my belongings myself from my car "due to their special insurance policy" and I had to have my car sent to the wreckage yard to retrieve any belongings personally. This is fine I guess, especially since they did give the option of putting my stuff in bags and giving it to me, but I flat out refused and wished to get certain things, like my cameras, by myself. Because of this, I decided to have my car released to the wreckage yard. The following is what truly angered us though:
I had explicitly told them numerous times not to enter my car and that I'd handle everything myself no worries, but when I went to get my stuff out of my car in the wreckage yard all of my belongings were haphazardly thrown into one giant garbage bag and stuffed into the broken trunk of my car. Any petty change in the car was also missing - which we don't necessarily miss but the principle of the matter still stands. Why did y'all enter my car???? Awful.
If I'd been able to read the reviews of this place before my car was sent here I would never have let my car be towed by this company, but unfortunately I was in an awful accident and the police are the ones who called this towing company because it was closest. 0/10 would not recommend whatsoever. STAY AWAY.
Horrible customer service, bad drivers, treat your vehicles like trash. I can't believe I trusted them with my car! Plus they charged me a different ammount than the mount we agreed on. They even have tinted windows so the customer can't even see who they are talking to.
I don't usually air my grievances out on Google Reviews but my experience with this towing company was so horrendous it would feel dishonest to not. I called to make an appointment (???) to pick up my belongings from the car after a bad wreck and was immediately met with disrespect and attitude when I arrived on the lot. I was initially told I could go to my car to grab my things and then was confronted and yelled at by another gentleman. As a woman who was alone I was super intimidated and uncomfortable. After having to explain the situation and practically beg to get my things back, I came to find out the folks on the lot went through my car and handed my belongings to me in a dirty wheelbarrow with items missing. In the end I had to pay upfront to get my car back regardless because they refused to provide an itemized bill to my insurance. Paid $700+ upfront so I could get my car and myself out of the situation - all while missing a day of work. Horrible experience, huge waste of time and money, do not come to this lot alone if you're a female driver.
Worst tow truck company in the united states. They go through your personal belongings and then wheelbarrow it out to you. They are not professional and nasty with every word they say. I would never recommend if it was the last number I had to call for a tow.
At all costs avoid this place. Earlier today I had to get in contact with a Woodbridge police because I had an incident with one of the tow truck drivers. They seem think they own the parking lot on bamboo China next door and the older gentleman literally ran over my things, purposely, nearly almost running me over. I was on the bamboo China parking lot because that’s where my car was picked up from. A few minutes later one of Scott’s drivers purposely runs over my things which I was standing next to while I was waiting for my ride. Right after that, he literally steps out of the vehicle without saying a word, gets on a different tow truck and drives away.
When the police arrived, the people inside denied everything and they would not give the tow truck driver’s name. THIS IS WHY WOODBRIDGE POLICE NO LONGER USE THEM.
I’m only giving 1 star because I can’t give none. These people destroyed my Masarati. I called like a gentleman, just to get a young kid to laugh at me and hang up the phone. Now of course they will not answer. These low life losers are going to see me in court. I will not let this go. They towed my car when I was in a handicap parking spot. With the tag up I may say. Very unprofessional, egotistical, useless, and outright liars. If you need your cart towed, I’d rather push it home with a flat tire up the hill, then to call these people.. Please do yourself a favor and stay far away from these disturbing people. I am now going on every other website to make sure everyone else knows just how disturbing these people are.
The worst towing company. We had a accident and was waiting for ever for a tow and every time we called them for eta they kept saying 20 minutes. The guy on the phone was extremely rude. When I asked the cop if that is the towing company they use he said not anymore because when people who they towed to there yard needed to get stuff out of there car Scott's towing would want to charge them a fee. THESE PEOPLE ARE PROFESSIONAL SCAM ARTISTS. They work with the police get called in by the police and tow your car if the cop doesn't think its drivable after an accident. My car was not totaled and still completely driveable, just very minor body damage and a faulty brake light. They operate in Woodbridge, Edison, and Metuchen. I asked them to drop my car off and I would call someone else to tow it. They refused to drop it, they basically stole my car and drove off with it. They refused to tell me a price for getting it back. They wouldn't drive me to my home, leaving me stranded. I was charged for 2 days in their lot even though my car wasn't even in there for 24 hours. 200+ dollars for less than 12 hours of storage in their lot. This is a glorified racketeering ring and the police and the city are all in on it. If a cop tells you their calling a tow truck for you REFUSE IT and call your own, don't give a penny to these scumbags
Best tow service servicing the middlesex county area. I had a flat tire and they came out to help me in less than 30 minutes (most times you call triple an and they take over an hour). There driver had no issue crawling under my truck to get my spare tire and had it on my vehicle within 15 minutes. The driver was so respectful and understanding. If I ever need help again I will hands down always call Scott’s towing !
I would definitely recommend scotts towing for their services i've had both of my cars transported over 3 times each and it's been flawless every single time . Both of my cars are modified and lowered and i have had 0 issues or damages not even a scratch !
Terrible service, waited in their small so called office for 45 min to an hour just to tell you how much the towing and storage fee was.
Overly priced storage fee for trucks and when asked to talk to a manager, the lady in front's only excuse was not available. When I ask for a breakdown of the pricing, she would only hand write me a sticky note and not print out the paper with all the details in it. After paying them in cash which I understand they're trying not to pay tax but also taxed me for everything, I realized my truck's battery is dead. I was asking them if I can jumpstart it myself, talking to them through the tinted window they all ignored me. After the third time calling out one of the guy finally answered me and was told we are not aloud to jumpstart on their property. Leaving me with two choices, they either jumpstart for me for $125 or they tow it somewhere I wanted, even to the side of the road to get off their property for $300-$400.
Got a flat on the side of the highway, and did not have a spare tire. I called Scott’s Towing & Recovery, and they were there to help within 30 minutes. Everyone was friendly, service was excellent, and it was affordable. 10/10 would recommend if you’re ever in a pinch.
Calling this towing company was like hiring a pizza delivery guy with a tow truck! They arrived faster than Domino's, and the driver was so cheerful, I almost thought he'd bring pizza to the party. Definitely saving their number for all my car rescue needs!
I’ve had to call a lot of tow trucks in my day. It’s never been a pleasurable experience. Well, that was until I blew out my tire on the turnpike and had to call Scott. This guy couldn’t have been friendlier and more helpful for me. He walked me through all the proceeding steps to make sure I was well taken care of. To top it off he even bought me a cup of coffee at the nearest rest stop because I was having such a miserable day. Kind people don’t come around that often, so I can’t recommend these guys enough!
Scott's towing was like a breath of fresh air in a very stressful situation. Scott jr. was extremely helpful, polite and helped ease the mind of myself and my little ones. My car ended up getting to the destination safely with exceptional service and quality. 10/10 would recommend.
I got towed on 07-24-2023, I was on the turnpike they called in Scotts towing. I was on my way to work and got saved by having to use Scott's Towing. They were so effective in the towing my car off the turnpike. I had flat tire is why even needed this service. I was still able to get to work on time which was the best part. Scott Jr was a very respectable person and great communicator of where my car would end up. I would recommend Scotts Towing and Recovery to all my family member.
I truly wish I could leave a review without any stars at all. DO NOT EVER EVER USE THIS PLACE ! Certain state highways require that police call the tow company of there choice. I strongly suggest if that ever happens to you and they call Scott's towing to get your vehicle, DO NOT EVEN LET IT GET TO THERE TOW YARD. Have it towed anywhere else. Bad enough you have to use there towing service because that results in the most disrespectful customer service I have ever had to deal with. This lady made me wait an hour and 3 phone calls just to tell me how much it would be for the tow service. Once I had enough of waiting for call backs, I went to the office. She made me wait at the window for 25 mins while I can see her just sitting behind the tinted window on her phone. The when I COUNTED THE MONEY IN FRONT OF HER AND Passed it thru the tinted window, she picked it up then came back 1 mins later saying it was short and I could count it myself to see. After she picked it up behind a tinted window. I decided to gave another tow company take it to my mechanic because they were trying to charge me over 25$ a mile. When my new truck got there. The guy worker came to the window and took my keys back saying he would pull it up. My radiator was damaged in my auto accident this morning so it should not have beendriven at all. He told me and the tow driver with me he would pull it up to the gate. Then I hear my vehicle start so I put my video recorder on just incase since it wasdamaged.. the guy comes flying out the parking lot with my truck and Flys out onto the street where traffic is passing through. Ge then gets out. Leaves it running and runs across the street back into his business. . Me ans my tow truck drive4 just stood there in disbelief. I am truly happy I got that on video. Worst experience of my kife. I know that did more damage to my truck atleast I have proof. You might not be so lucky. Do what you can to avoid Scott's towing at any and all costs !! What's crazier is I even was warned about them from multiple people/other tow companies as soon as i mentioned there company name.
Scott Jr. of Scott's Towing has gone above and beyond what one might expect from a towing service. As I told Scott towards the end of my saga -- "You've made this such a good experience I'm going to get another car and break down again just to get you to tow me again!" Not only did he arrive quickly, he towed my car off the highway and took his time finding the appropriate mechanic to leave it with. Since I live about 40 miles and out of state from the scene of car breakdown, he continued to help me. He thoughtfully found a place to (sadly) junk the car and walked me through the details of the transaction -- including shipping and receiving necessary paperwork, financial transactions, and goods left in my car. HE remembered to take my EZ pass! All of this done with good humor, calm, and responsiveness. Thank you, Scott.
After being told that they would get to me in 60-90 minutes to be towed and waiting 2 1/2 hours on the side of the road they decided to drop the service call and left me hanging. That’s has got to be the worst customer service ever. This business totally sucks. Reach out to one their competitor and they showed up in 40 minutes and showed great customer service.

I had the worst 6 hour experience with AAA and my vehicle last night. They jacked my car up EXTREMELY BAD! At this point, I just wanted to get home. I was in desperate need of a tow. I decided to use my State farm coverage because AAA wanted to send a different truck which wouldn't have arrived until ANOTHER 3 hours later.
This is where Scott's come in. Mr. Scott Junior arrived much, MUCH quicker than anticipated. He introduced himself gracefully, and offered his apologies for my experiences throughout the evening. he told me I didn't have to wait a second longer, I could go home, relax, and he would meet me there. For some reason, I INSTANLY felt relief. His whole demeanor and presentation assured me that my car was safe. I went home, and he soon arrived. My parking space was extremely tight, but he still managed, at 3am, to get my vehicle in its rightful space as if I drove it in there myself! Not one time did he complain or frown, and trust me, the whole ordeal wasn't a simple task. His speed was magical, yet he was super careful with my car. I will never EVER use another company! From now on, it's Scott's for me! Thank you so much Mr. Scott Junior! You may have saved me a trip to the ER because my blood pressure was boiling up until you showed up! I wish I could give 10 stars, because 5 is an understatement!

Needed to tow my car from my house to my mechanic. They arrived in less than 15 minutes. The driver (didnt catch his name) was nice, funny, quick (and pretty to look at...seriously)! Followed him to my mechanic's and the unload and paperwork took less than 7 minutes. Thank you for the great service!
This company is by far the worst!!!!! They had me waiting for 3 hours and not to mention the receptionist was the worst. It is unbelievable at how she handle the situation. I received a text that said that I had to wait for 90 minutes, an hour and 30 minutes passed by and still nothing so I decided to call again and all she kept saying was “he will be there in 10 minutes” so I waited the 10 minutes and still nothing, I called again and at this point I’m beyond frustrated, told her that I’m tired of waiting and she goes “oh no you’re not raising your voice at me” and she then proceeded to cancel the truck. After 3 hours of waiting inside my car that was blazing since my car wouldn’t turn on.
for a company to stay in business they need their clientele and referrals. It is amazing at how this lady still have a job. I read all the reviews and they all had the same experience as me if not worse. I Definitely do not recommend this place do yourself a favor and don’t even bother doing business with them. Worst experience of my life.
If your roadside assistance assigns this company for towing, call them and ask for a different company right away. Read the reviews from Google and Yelp and you'll understand why.
Avoid this company at all costs unless you want to wait ***4 hours*** for them never to show up and cancel on you without an explanation, and this whole time my car was 10 minutes away from their office. The customer rep was friendly but I suspected I was getting the run-around every time I called to ask where the truck was. If your trucks are too busy or you don't want to haul a vehicle because it's too far then let the appropriate parties know right away. Don't make somebody wait for hours on end and then cancel the service without an afterthought.
After this company cancelled and failed to show up, a different towing company came with the hour!
Rude service, price for tow and storage is outrageous. I literally had my car impounded over an entire weekend and it cost half as much to get it out as it did to pick up my car from Scott's Towing after less than 24 hours. That is all bad enough, but the customer service is just terrible. Unfortunately there's a good chance that if you're using this service it wasn't by choice. Edison PD called for this tow before they allowed me to get it through my insurance. When I paid the fee to have my car released they forced me to take it off the lot and park it in the street and wait for the next tow truck to take it to get repaired. They would not let me leave it at their station and let the tow truck pick it up from them. I had to leave it across the street in a sketchy area. My experience became a nightmare when my insurance company decided to use their towing services to move my vehicle from their location to the place where it would be repaired. And even though I was out in front of their shop in the street, I still had to wait over an hour for my EPA, which was meaningless because they didn't even load the vehicle for over two and a half hours after the time they were supposed to get there to tow it... And it was right in front of their facility! I have used many services throughout the country has I have moved around with military service over the last 10 years. And this is the worst towing service I have ever dealt with in my life and it's not even a contest. That is not an exaggeration. If you ever find out that your vehicle is being towed by Scott's Towing and Recovery, cancel it right away and get somebody else to pick up your car even if you have to wait over an hour. Or just set your car on fire and walk away. You're better off than using their service. Unprofessional, not dependable, inexcusable and overpriced. That is Scott's Towing and Recovery.
I just experienced the worst. Extremely rude place of business.. Toyota roadside assistance used them as a third party.. while Toyota is just really nice.. this towing company was an extremely rude. And after waiting an hour they cancelled.. my car was laying on the rim.. that sucks that they could not come and help...
My experience was similar. I made one phone call to ask about update status and a rude lady picked up the phone. And told me I had to wait. I was calm, cool, collective, and let it be.
My second time experience was quite almost the same one of my friends cars got towed and I wanted to pick it up . There were completely rude. Quite honestly I don't know how company who treats people that way stay in business. Maybe because they have the official police tow contract or the Parkway or Turnpike.
