Had my car towed to Main St. Auto on April 30, 2025. Eddie diagnosed a computer chip issue, and after confirming with Joe (the owner) that they could handle it, I agreed to the repair. Later, I was told both keys needed reprogramming—for an extra $175. I agreed, but when the car was returned, one remote no longer worked. Dropped the car off again on May 19; they couldn’t fix it and had no idea how to. I called six times between May 24 and June 4 asking for a call back from Joe or Ron(the other owner)—no response. Poor communication, zero follow-through, and my remote still isn’t working. Really disappointing service.

Came in today with a flat tire. The guys were super nice and fixed the tire very quickly, even though they were super busy! We don't live in the area, but would certainly use them again if we did!

I brought my car here for rear brakes. Excellent service and reasonable price. I would of paid far more at the dealership. They even found a nail in my tire that I was unaware of and fixed and plugged the tire for free. I will be back and so will my family

I’ve been here a few times and at first as a woman I have always felt nervous about coming into mechanic shops alone , due to fear of being taken advantage or the rest of what stereotypically happens with women when they visit mechanic shops but here that is not the case at all - WOMEN FRIENDLY 110% from the first time I started coming here to currently I’ve been treated with nothing but respect and priority by Steve , he is the best ! Very welcoming and accommodating from start to finish , I would recommend this place to everyone in the area looking for an oil change or tire swap , support small local businesses instead of annoying big places like Pep boys who don’t value your time or money ! At first these guys seemed really nice. And I went to them for tires because I felt I could trust them. Unfortunately the tires they sold me and put on my car wore out after only 4 months. I have been driving for 40 years and I know this is not normal. They told me they knew the tires were not good but they were trying to give me a deal. They refused to replace them but told me if I could get the tire company Blackhawk to replace them they would put them on for me. It has been raining a lot and I can feel the tires slipping all over the road which is dangerous. I feel like they must think I'm stupid because I'm a woman. But whatever the cause, they are leaving me in the lurch. I have tried contacting Blackhawk but there is no phone number for them. I sent them an email but they have not gotten back with me.

Great customer service. Car dealer told me I needed a new battery and I did not think I did. Brought my truck here and they said no your battery is 100 percent. They saved me money on an unnecessary battery. Will come back here for future needs

Just needed to get an oil change and an inspection. I am relatively new to the area and don't like the local Ford dealer so I decided to take a chance on this shop. It was easy to make an appointment by phone. I decided to wait while my car was worked on. They have a small but clean waiting room with comfortable chairs. Everyone there was very friendly and they seemed knowledgeable about cars. The price was in line with the dealership so this will be my new go to shop.

I got my exhaust fixed and the next day the check engine light comes on. I call them up and tell them to look at it as it was JUST there and they find a brand NEW problem that didn't exist. I said I don't want to fix it and they charge me $85 for checking the car. That's awesome customer service.

Everyone at Main Street Tire & Auto is professional and straight up. I regularly take my Mustang GT in for service and have left happy and satisfied every time! 10/10 would recommend!

Great place. Called late in the morning at 1045 to have tires mounted and balanced. Place was closing at noon, but the owner Ron said.... "ya know what, come in,we will get it done." So I hustled over, and he had already aligned some of his team to stay behind just to take care of me. He then had a great conversation with me even though he had to take care of all his closing tasks. Really a great experience, with a heavy dose of home town customer service. I felt like my business was important. It's so rare in this area. With so many people, it's easy to pass on income with no worry. I really enjoyed my time there and will be back for additional work soon. Oh, good prices too. Give the new ownership a try, I think you will be pleased. Thanks Ron!

Love this spot! Spotswood was desperate for a solid and honest auto body shop. Fair and transparent prices and timelines. Olivia at the front desk is a total gem. She’s professional and friendly. The waiting room is clean and comfortable. I’ll never go to another shop again. Highly recommend!

The kindest and most experienced staff. You can trust that your car will be handled with care and safety as a top priority. Prices are the most reasonable around and you can’t beat using a local business situated right on Main St. in Spotswood.

I refuse to use this business due to the fact of one phone call. I called for a service question and was answered with "what... what do you want" instead of a simple "hi, how can I help you" and was rushed off the phone. How would you treat me in person? Niceness goes a long way and I will make sure everyone knows of how rudely I was treated by your establishment. There are a lot more mechanics in the area, would not recommend this one.

Just picked up one of my work trucks. Truck broke over the weekend so I called & had to leave a message on their voice mail (after hours). John called me Monday morning & I had the truck towed to them around 1200 noon. They called me at 330PM today -Weds. said they were finished come pick it up. Very happy with the turn around time & that the truck did not have much down time. 1st time using this mechanic wont be the last!

Friendly and courteous oil change while we waited. The only reason it is 4 stars they were ask specifically to check the tire pressure the next morning the low tire pressure light was still on I had to fill them myself.
