  Worst scrap ever. They rob you with the pricing. Had more than enough and they want to take away . They change the weight. Brang 100 doller worth. And they gave me $20 for the compressor . I secretly recorded for the township

  Went there today never again, Friday the 18th aluminum rims was worth .72 cents today there are worth .55 cents yeah that’s bull crap lol. If you want to get skimped on metal prices go ahead and go but definitely not worth it. Name naz btw, the lady there too got an attitude, if you don’t like ya job don’t work it ……. only gave 2 stars cuz the man at the window is a cool brother.

  You have to closely watch when they weigh your stuff in the back. I've gotten ripped off multiple times now. They ripped me off for at least 100lbs of brass. I'm positive , I do this everyday.. Thanks Beacon , Merry Christmas to me and my family right? While your workers are stealing OUR money.

  The most hardworking scrapyard in the county no the state just like Mike . It is always a pleasure to come to this place and see the boss he cut good deals and negotiates to the highest amount profitable. There is a decent amount of space but there is wet cement being layed out ready to dry for the upcoming year and it will only be used to its fullest potential unless you aren’t there ! So don’t be a chappy scrappy let’s begin this journey to join together and get rid of all the metals that are piling up your drive way yards and mental space keep scaling don’t damage

  Called today with interest in junking 2 full sized school buses. Was quoted $4.00/100lbs. Other local competitors were paying more than double that. Ended up selling to another yard less than 30 minutes away for $9.50/100lbs. This is a big difference when talking about 40k lbs of metal.

  Maybe I got there at just the wrong time -- 2:30 on a Thursday afternoon. The site (yard) was extremely congested, very cramped. A lot of big scrap metal trucks pulling in and out. I just wanted to sell a big bag of aluminum cans that I had collected. In this congested yard I was given directions which turned out to be wrong. Figuring that it was not worth denting my car in such cramped quarters, I just gave up and went home.

  Total rip off place. We brought aluminum here today because we missed going to our regular place we go (was a sunday). Got $43 for the same amount we ususally get $100 for! Had heard rumors from other scrappers and now we know its true. Also got there and no one was working had to wait 30 min because they all go to lunch at the same time!

  Definitely get you on the weight. Will get you depending what you bring in. Brought in 300lbs of copper pipes. I weighed at home one by one. Gave me 220lbs. Didnt want argue but won't be back ever again.

  Used to be good here but sent my son with a load of copper, aluminum and steel sheet metal, over 400 lbs and they screwed him by paying $40 for the entire load as LL Iron which comes out to $8/100lbs. 2 lessons learned...never use beacon again and take the kid with you. LIVE AND LEARN!

  Very tight after you go over the scale, especially if you are towing a trailer. Prices are decent , and the workers are all nice. If they fix the area after the scale , and fill in the low spots where the water and mud sits after a rain I will give them 50 stars. I know they can easily remedy this --- your place is worth doing the fixes and more of your customers will deeply appreciate it. EMPLOYEES - GREAT. YARD - BAD. THANK YOU

  Really good and friendly service I have going to edison and south Plainfield those places you can't even see you load weight they just write in a piece of paper beacon you know what's your load weight I'm very happy with their service.

  Had 325lbs of steel they called light iron? Paid me 14.00 for. Should have went to Edison. Got taken probably cause never done before & a woman. Didn't want to bother reloading into car but sorry I didn't. NEVER GO THERE.

  I have been going here for years. They have the best all around prices for every type of metal. Never had any issues here. I'm sure if I ever did, the guy running the yard, Clyde, is a good guy and would take care of it. Dont hesitate to go here.

  Heavy set guy ripped me off. I think he was upset because I showed up close to closing. I called him out on it when I saw the receipt that he clearly screwed me on my scrap wire and he tried lying straight to my face. I will never use them again. I'm beat on over $100 bucks

  Honestly, I have been to hundreds of scrapyards as i am in the precious metal buying business, and this is the worst one ive ever been to. On the way to my regular buyer, truck had too much weight, so i took about a $300 load there just to get rid of it so i could make it the hour or so to my other buyer. They gave me $167.50 and tried to say thats where the market is. I watch the market every day, so not only are their prices the lowest ive ever seen, theyre also very dishonest. Just writing this so hopefully no one else goes there and gets scammed like i did. If i could give them zero stars i certainly would

  Went there one day and another guy quoted way more than the next one the next day. Seems like one doesn't know what the other does. The guy quoting me the lower price says they go with the daily stock market for prices?? Stock market closed on the weekends!!! Ripoffs!!!
