The owner and his team here are great. Several of the mechanics have been here for years. Pricing is right, they are super friendly, and they don’t seem to try and sell you on unnecessary nonsense. They are accommodating with scheduling and they definitely appreciate their customers. When one of my cars was getting older they started work, figured out it was a bigger issue than expected, and then put it back together without any charge so I could just go sell it.
I highly recommend.
Honest 1 is honest. I’ve been coming here for a few years now since I moved into the area. I brought my really awful Kia Rio that was in bad shape to them for 2 years. The car itself was a wreck, where multiple mechanics other than this shop had no answers as why the engine was burning the oil in the vehicle. Those shops made me change a bunch of parts that didn’t need to be changed and was a waste of money. Honest 1 however told me straight up that the car was going to be a money pit for me and I should look into getting another car if I didn’t want to put money into an engine, which I appreciated. They didn’t have me switch many parts out, as they saw no reason to. Everytime the car had a problem with parts like brakes for example, they’d be able to fit me in the next morning or the same day. Unfortunately at the time I didn’t have enough to get another car, so when I would come in they’d top off my oil haha. I brought in my 2013 Kia forte koup sx they’ve started working on. I was able to get in the next day as the right blinker went out. The staff is always so kind and I’ve never had issues with this shop. They treat your cars with respect. I would recommend these guys.:D
I keep brining my my 3 vehicles to Richy of Honest 1 Milltown NJ, very honest, thorough, will give you his professional advise and suggestions, their reception area and restroom are very clean, good ambiance, price is fair and reasonable. Richy's staffs like Joe and other mechanics are also friendly. Highly recommended.
Dylan and Jay did an amazing job on my car! I was having issues with fueling and they quickly found the problem and replaced the parts. Super professional team and both were really friendly. I’m a happy customer and will definitely be back for any future needs!
My wife and I have used Honest One for years now, and they have never let us down. They give you a few different estimates after a thorough examination of your problem, and are very empathetic and understanding of your needs. The staff has always been kind and professional and the waiting area is very nice. If you don't want to wait there for the work to be done, there are several eateries, a Target, and a Home Depot all right there that you can go to.
Brought in my truck for some AC service and Josue gave me an amazing price to do the service Dylan had it done within half hour blows ice cold drove half hour totally worth it awesome service
I came in cuz I had a slowly leaking tire and he brought me in and quickly took care of the tire, showed me what the cause of my leaky tire was and didn't charge me at all. The manager was so warm and friendly and helpful! I would definitely go back there, if I had any issue with my car.. the place is also very clean and comfortable and smells quite nice
Everyone at Honest 1 is always kind and willing to help. Extremely fair with pricing, knowledgeable, and cares for the client. I have my oil changes performed here, and regular maintenance for all 3 of my cars!
I always have a good experience at Honest Auto. The staff is friendly and courteous, and I always feel respected and valued as a customer.
They give a thorough explanation of the work that needs to be done and don’t exert pressure.
They are very accommodating in helping me with last- minute minor problems, such as refilling wiper fluid.
Two big issues:
1) I dropped off my car because my brake lights were inappropriately always on. They fixed it, but then a couple weeks later the issue came right back so I took the car back. They charged me $200 for a faulty wire during the 2nd visit even though it was clear they didn't fully inspect the electrical system during the 1st visit--if they did a thorough job the first time, I wouldn't have come back and paid more a second time.
2) After I picked up the car during the second visit, there was a new huge crack in my windshield. I wanted to speak to someone, and they told me the crack was there when I dropped off the car. You decide who to believe but I'm not bringing any car back here. I don't even write bad reviews for companies so this one really upset me.
It's been a few yrs since I visited, now upgraded to a 2015 Mazda and out of my dad's, I cannot tell you how many times Honest and Richie's team has saved me in a pinch with my vehicle! My boyfriend caught the worse cold this year and normally he helps but today I really had no other options! Thank God for honest! Really they never disappoint and really care for your situation, help immediately with no matter what's going on,the trust and assurance I have here is like no other! I am so grateful for this place! Thankyou again so very much for the help! I tell everyone I know how reliable this place is!
Staff was very polite, but they refuse to work an an EV. My wife brought her 2020 Niro EV to have the alignment set and to check a small leak in one of the tires, and they refused to touch it. I told her to tell them they weren't even EV specific tires, but she said they had zero interest in going near the car once they learned it was an EV.
Ive always had an extremely positive experience at Honest Auto. The staff and team truly live up to the name, they are helpful honest and clear. They take the time to explain necessary maintenance updates without any pressure to upsell you. They do excellent work and are great communicators as well. Special shoutout to Joe who has helped me personally on several different occasions. I feel safe and comfortable working with Honest on any car maintenance updates i need. Love using Honest 1 on Ryders lane! They are always honest and straight forward about what needs done on your car. They also go above and beyond and share all the details on things that are helpful. I am not the most knowledgeable when it comes to cars and they are a car place I can trust what they say. Other places I have tried in the past have not been that way so it is super refreshing and such a blessing to be able to fully trust what you are being told about your car. Truly they are the best so kind and helpful I highly recommend them and I will not use anyone else!
We have used Honest-1 Auto Care for all 3 of our cars. We are extremely happy with their service. They are honest and their pricing is fair. We will continue to use them in the future for all our auto maintenance and services.
This was my first experience with Honest-1. I legit only knew they existed because of a coupon I received in the mail. So I looked up their website and saw some great reviews and booked my appointment right online. It was fast and easy. I didn't call the location because I only had a couple routine services I needed. When I got there it was clean and welcoming. Each person I interacted with was support friendly and helpful. They took care of both my car and my wife's car in about 2 hours. They called to verify pricing and only performed services that were needed. This is definitely my new auto repair place. Amazing experience. 10/10, highly recommend .

Hands down one of the best auto care shops out there, they really live up to their names. Came in here to get my radiator replace since it was leaking a lot of coolant. Very professional, very knowledgeable & the mechanic that worked on my car knew what he was doing. These types of places need to be recognized because there’re few of these auto care left. My wife brought her car here because the engine acted oddly at a stop light and misfired and shut off. We told them the evap valve error code came on with engine light last month and I had cleared it myself and wondered if they could test it. No engine lights were on at the time it was brought in. We were called with a hefty $1900 amount of work that "needs" to be done. Granted some of it was breaks, but, what? They basically read off everything to replace that could have caused the problem based on past warning codes from diagnostics on an almost 10yr old car. Didn't test EVAP purge valve like I asked. We paid $80 for the diag fee and took the car back. The error code eventually came back on and I brought it to the dealer. It was a $500 repair and the breaks were fine. $1900 bucks. Ignored my request. Didn't even have the EVAP valve on the list which WAS the problem. No thanks. Plus 70 bucks for an oil change? 45 at the dealer. EDIT: I'm reading other reviews and they charged others less for diagnosis. Dishonest much? I don't think I'll ever come here again after my experience. If they just listened to me and tested what I told them to test and found that it was indeed bad, my 5 star review would still be here.
We have been going to Honest-1 for our car repairs and maintenance for the past 8 years with good reason. Richy and his team do a fantastic job each time with all our car repairs. We are kept well-informed along the process and everything is clearly explained before work is performed. We highly recommend this place for their professional and quality services to auto care.
This is the 2nd time I've used H1. First major repair was for the clutch. This time, I had them service the brakes. I find that Richy and his techs are very good at explaining the issues that come up with the car. He'll talk you through the procedure and even share pictures so you can see what was going on. Since my car is old (24 years now), we were able to work out what would be worth fixing without too much expense. I appreciated his thoughts on recommended service, but there was never any pressure selling. I plan on going back for regular maintenance service soon and would recommend them for bigger repairs.
Richy and his team were incredible! I needed new tires and an oil change in addition to some lights that's came on while I was driving to work, he was able to fit me in the next day and promptly fixed my car ready for me. I appreciate the speedy service and fair pricing- I'll definitely be back for future work needed on my car!!
Literally my best experience at an auto repair shop and very honest. I went into get the engine light checked out and potentially get fixed. The dealer's quote was $225 for diagnosis plus repairs, pepboys quote.was $99 plus repairs. These guys told me $60 for diagnosis plus repairs. It turned out that the only issue was that the fuel cap was not closed properly and the engine light was needed to be reset. They were very honest about the diagnosis and did not charge me any $$. For the same diagnosis I would have paid much more at the other places. Plus my car was ready within a couple of hours. Never have I ever dropped my car off at a repair shop and got it fixed without paying any crazy amount.
I had the timing belt and water pump replaced on my Honda Accord. I initially stopped by to see if they could do it and what it would cost. The manager, Joe, was very helpful and knowledgeable. The price quoted was very competitive and reasonable so I scheduled the service. From start to finish it was an excellent experience! Everything was completed as promised and my car is running like a clock. I would not hesitate to use them again.
So pleased to have brought my car here when I had an issue on a business trip. Joe, the service manager, walked me through the issue and expertly handled my extended warranty paying for most of it! Went in to get my oil change, the staff greeted me with a smile. Joe at the desk was very knowledgeable and friendly. He knew more about my car than I did. Told me there would be a very little wait to get my car finished. They had me in and out in less than an hour. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone that is looking to get their car serviced. They do most every service I would need and I will be comming back for my other services.
