Extremely upsetting experience. Called for road service few hours ago, and checked in multiple times with dispatch to make sure someone will help my driver. They told me someone will come out, but when I checked with another lady, she told me there was a "disconnect." She is trying to help, but it will be extra charge because it is night time now and I have to pay before. I asked her to waive that since my driver has been waiting for their mechanic to show up for 5 hours. Later on, she called me back saying, sorry we just pulled all the mechanics because it is cold. No one communicated this to me ever, so we can look for another mechanic. And if she had this information before, why was she trying to charge me extra and upfront if no one is available in the first place? She had to check with her manager to let me know no one is available? Extremely poor business practice.
Extremely bad experience with this company. Called a road service 5 hours ago, and they said they will come numerous times. No one came out and we had to check in with them several times to see what happened. Later, they told us that they have to charge more because it is night time, and I urged them to just help. Later, they tell me, they had to pull all the mechanics out because it’s too cold. Extremely upsetting because they could have literally communicated once to let us know that this is the case. Instead they just left us hanging. Worst service ever to a driver who has been waiting hours for help. We could have gotten someone else out and now it’s night time where it would be impossible for the driver to get help.
If this place could be rated zero stars I would. Worst experience ever. We spent 2 days going back and forth with these people and the process took forever. We got there around 10am on the second day and didn’t leave until 4pm. I had to take an unexpected personal day from my job just because I was sitting and waiting for majority of the time. They charge OUTRAGEOUS prices and they parked our vehicle on ice which resulted in it being stuck. While we made multiple attempts to get it out, two employees just stood and watched. Finally, after the last failed attempt, they assisted and charged us an additional $1,000!!! After explaining to the manager that his employees placed the vehicle on ice on B&L’s property, the manager said it was our fault we didn’t tell them to bring it up front. They also broke a piece of equipment on the vehicle while attempting to lift it up and the manager denied responsibility saying it’s OUR vehicle and they are not liable. So how are we liable for them placing the vehicle on ice on THEIR property?? They are extremely rude and inconsiderate. I would rather push my vehicle 200+ miles home than have this company ever tow it again.
Milton was very professional and made my day better after trying to go South literally. My tire flew off on the Garden State Parkway he retrieved my tire and offered to put it back on for a reasonable price so I didn't have to pay for taking it back to my house I was so thankful!
Poor quality service. I had a blow out on the parkway, and after my jack failed, my AAA had no choice but to use B&L recovery because it was on the parkway. Driver came promptly and installed my spare then went on to deal with another couple whose vehicle just died. Driving home, I notice my vehicle still didn’t feel right. ( The driver did advise my that my spare was low). So I filled it with air and notice problem still there. Pulled over again only to find all 5 of the lugs have not been tightened. Now I know things happen, (distractions from the couple) and wasn’t really upset. I caught it in time before my rim came off my vehicle down the highway possibly through another vehicles windshield. I called B&L not to complain, but just to let the manager know about the situation and advise/remind there drivers to make sure the lugs are tight. Instead, I’m dismissed and told that I was supposed to check the lugs to make sure that they were tight. Well isn’t that you guys job when changing a tire. I will never recommend B&L towing to anyone. Unfortunately, they won’t care because they have the parkway contract.
Driver Milton was extremely friendly and professional. He handled my car very carefully and completed the tow efficiently. I really appreciate his attention to detail and the great service he provided. Highly recommend Milton!
These guys are the definition of reckless . Just Monday I saw one of their trucks run someone into a grass median on Rte 9 They race up and down the Parkway with reckless abandon. I highly doubt thatdriver has a CDL. It's only matter of time before they kill someone. Amazing they have a contract with the State.

Awesome service in a pitch and cordial assistance with care. Got caught up in a snowstorm and the attendant helped without delay to ensure my safety and transportation assistance at a reasonable price. Recommend highly above others. Hope this helps become Mrs I’m very grateful
Do not recommend +20k for tow truck and trailer to only go 15 miles max. They charged this amount in hope to get a portion of insurance money. Luckily I was smart enough to offload that cost onto a different company. My best recommendation if you can choose a company to tow. Do not choose them. Thank you
“They don’t have flat rates”” stated by there employee. They make up numbers and try to justify it in the expense breakdown
My tire completely popped and I was stuck on the parkway. Milton came quickly and immediately assess the situation. He tried to help me the best he could, but unfortunately, my car needed to be towed. Despite the situation, he educated me on every option I had and was able to safely take my car off the parkway and to my destination. Thank you for making the best of an unfortunate situation
I had a major tire blowout on the Driscol Bridge, l was on the shoulder made the call and my man Milton driver 091 came to the rescue in about 10 minutes!! He said go sit in my truck and get you hooked up and outta here safe sir!! And that he did in about 5-7 minutes l was towed to a much safer spot to deal with this flat tire problem.. The towing company worker, Milton, was very nice and professional. He explained everything clearly and provided all the necessary information, which made the situation much less stressful. I really appreciated his helpful attitude and efficient service. Highly recommended! Thank you very much!
Milton was great. He showed up quickly, got everything taken care of, and was super friendly. It was freezing out and he even made sure I stayed warm by sitting in the truck while I waited for my ride. I really appreciated that!
This is the worst place your car could ever end up. They are slow, rude, don’t care about anything and highly overpriced! They will rob you so much it’s not even worth getting ur car out after a wreck, might as well just sell it so you can pay them.(they will suggest doing that too) The fees they charge should be a crime and they won’t let you retrieve any belongings out of YOUR VEHICLE! They park the cars so close to each other that they are all touching each other, getting scratched up. Please avoid this place at all cost, your sanity and your bank account will thank you! Ps: close to $500 to tow a car 1.8 miles to there yard before the fees rack up each day.
Only if zero stars was an option My boyfriends car was towed by this company. As he was making calls trying to understand the payment process , he was never given complete answers which forced him to continue calling back. When he finally arrived to retrieve the car , he was greeted with a nasty attitude , followed by a comment, “guys it’s our favorite customer.” This was very unnecessary and disrespectful for no reason. He was nothing but respectful through each interaction. Now it’s time for payment , he was ran in circles, and his time was being wasted. At this point, he was still never given the full answers he was looking for.
Do not have your car towed here. Unless you’d like to deal with a run around and unnecessary attitudes.
Was driving on I-81 North with very bad visibility. I was in the passing lane but could not get over because I was surrounded by 18 wheelers. One of these tow trucks came up speeding behind me and my two children blaring his horn, flashing his lights and riding my tail. Would not expect a tow truck to drive so reckless.
I had the most helpful gentleman assist me today. He was spectacular. Everyone should be lucky enough to have a team member like the person I interacted with today. The process couldn’t have gone any better. Thankful this thanksgiving for someone like him!
I broke down on the nj turnpike and called for help in less than 30 minutes the truck showed up the driver introduced himself Milton and asked if everything was okay it was cold and ask if I would like to set in the truck while he loaded the car the guy was courteous and professional went out of his way to drop my car where I told him. Highly recommended if you’re on the turnpike ask for Milton
This is a very irresponsible company. Their dispatch team is highly unprofessional — it was clearly their scheduling mistake, yet they made the customer bear all the costs in the end. Their manager is also terrible, which explains why their rating is so low.

My car broke down on the GSP and Milton was a fantasic and kind face to see during a hard time. I was stuck in a tough spot and he was very professional and patient. He spoke calmly and I felt well taken care of. Thanks B&L, please give Milton the highest applause possible!!
We use B&L for all our repairs. They are quick and treat you with care. Wayne in the shop took great care of us. He took the time to understand what our issues were and got us repaired! Highly recommend
The office work here is very slow. It took me over an hour to get my car from them. They do not move very quickly. That’s not even the worse part. I was in accident and they towed my car. When I got in it I noticed that they stole all my change that I had but only the silver. The left the penny’s. Don’t trust anything with these people they steal things from your car. If you can remove all items that have value l even change. I should have had a report written up about THEIF. But I am not sure how much was there maybe 10 dollars and that’s not a charge and it is also his word against mine.
Driver that came for the vehicle was great. Whoever handles the phone calls to the main office is rude as hell. Acted like I was bothering him when I asked about my vehicle and their hours. Then hung up immediately after saying the hours. Don't be mad you have to do your job.... I get the feeling I'll be waiting for an hour or two when i get to the yard just to take my things out of the truck. Original Review 2 stars, maybe I'll update after giong to the office.
Amanda was so sweet and helpful when my car was towed after my accident. She made the process easy and treated me with kindness. I really appreciated her support on such a stressful day.
I've used B&L auto repair in the past and needed their help again when someone hit my car in July 2025. I worked with Julian in the auto repair area and he was great! He ensured my car was accurately estimated by the insurance company to make sure what needed to be replaced was and dealt with them directly. The service was quick and efficient and the car looks great. I would highly recommend Julian and his team for any auto repair work.
My tire blew out in a spot with a very small shoulder on the GSP so I was really nervous. Steven from B&L was polite, quick and thorough. I had never seen the unusual spare tire in an Audi, so he showed me how it had to be inflated with the air pump. I very much appreciated the time he took to explain.
They VERY CLEARLY damaged my vehicle and are denying it. This is how they had my vehicle at the tow yard. Please NEVER LET THEM TOUCH YOUR VEHICLES IF YOU CAN HELP IT unfortunately the tow guy would not put my vehicle down after the cops called them to tow my car from an accident (hydroplane rear drivers side damage ONLY ) initially so I did not even get the chance to actually see what kind of business I was dealing with. I told the towing guy to put my car down so I could get GEICO to tow it and we were right off an exit and he would not let it down although he stoped at the nearest store from the exit which was a Dunkin Donut to let me off. Horrible. Lady upfront is also nasty with a very NASTY appearance to match. If you see these reviews and still keep them in business you are a FOOL.
