I had to pick up an impounded trailer. These guys wasn't your typical sleezy towing company and garage. They were very nice and great to talk to. Hats off to bringing back some class to towing.
$495 for jumpstart at NJ service plaza. Truck still wouldn’t charge so they tried to sell me 3 batteries for $1050!!! Went to KW down the road and got 3 batteries for $287. Stay away.
I live in an associated townhouse community in Robbinsville. This morning, my car was towed by a young male driver—let’s refer to him as “Jack”—while I was physically present at the scene. Despite being on the premises and repeatedly requesting that he stop the tow, Jack spent approximately 10 minutes arguing with me but ultimately refused to release my car.
As a professional towing service, your company should be fully aware of the concept of a "Drop Fee"—a standard industry practice that allows vehicle owners to retrieve their car on-site for a reduced fee if the tow hasn’t been completed. It appears Jack was either unaware of this or deliberately chose to ignore it. This raises serious concerns about whether your employees receive any proper training at all.
Later, when I went to retrieve my vehicle, I was informed that your business accepts cash only. This was never communicated ahead of time, and I find it extremely unreasonable to expect customers to simply know this policy. The refusal to accept card payments, in today’s world, raises red flags about the legitimacy and transparency of your operations, including potential tax evasion.
Additionally, while at your facility, Jack was visibly laughing and making disrespectful, smirking gestures toward me. When I brought this behavior to the attention of his associate, she did nothing to address it. Her unprofessionalism and lack of assistance only added to the frustration.
A word of advice to Jack: You’re too young to act like you know everything. Respect and professionalism go a long way—especially in a business that already deals with a highly sensitive and emotional customer experience.
This was my first time using Treat’s after being referred to by a friend. My repairs were done on time and on budget with expert precision. Everyone from the front desk to the bays were polite and professional. I highly recommend.

I had my semi-truck and trailer towed just 16 miles from their yard, and they charged me an outrageous $5,000. There is absolutely no way that short tow should cost anywhere near that amount. The person I dealt with—especially the one with long hair and a beard—was incredibly rude, dishonest, and acted like he was smarter than everyone else. He wasn’t interested in doing fair business, just in taking advantage and making as much money as possible. This was not only unprofessional, it felt like theft. I strongly urge everyone to stay away from this place—they will rob you blind.
When my family was stranded on 95 south with a flat tire on Easter Sunday at 9 pm, we figured it would be extremely difficult to find help. Luckily we were saved by Treat's Garage and Mackey's Towing. Their tow driver was extremely nice and informative and offered recommendations for area hotels and convenience stores. Roadside trouble is always really stressful but the team at Treat's/Mackey's treated us with kindness and found us a new tire quickly.
Treats Garage for the win! Tommy got me out of a nasty wreck on Super Bowl Sunday within 15 minutes of the call, let me wait in the office for family to come (although technically closed) and even had some helpful tips on rental car places. Shannon was dealing with some rude customers ALL DAY but was still as friendly and helpful as could be! It sucks getting in a crash, but Treats helped make it all a bit less crappy
Just wanted to say thank you again to Tommy for helping us out, early Saturday morning. We we stranded for 3 hours waiting on AAA to tow us, but they never came. I had to call Robbinsville Police department and they assist in helping us out. My neighbor, who has heart problems and needs an operation needed to get home. It was freezing out. The police officer and Tommy helped us. I can't thank them enough because I don't know what we would have done if not for their help and kindness. They went above and beyond their duty to assist. Thanks again.
Above and beyond! This five star review should be a million stars. Long story short my happy Thanksgiving, turned into a not so happy Thanksgiving and Treat’s was able to tow my vehicle to their shop off the turnpike. They allowed me and my fiancée to wait in their shop out of the cold until I was able to move my vehicle to a service shop. Highly recommend their services! Extraordinary people!
The worst experience of my life. This company is a complete scam. They charge for services they never provide. I ended up wasting a lot of time and money trying to get the promised service. The staff is rude and incompetent, and the managers completely ignore any complaints. Avoid this company at all costs!
I am extremely disappointed with the services of this company. They scam their customers out of money by offering non-existent services and charging exorbitant amounts for them. My experience with them was a nightmare – instead of the promised quick and quality service, I faced constant delays and unprofessionalism.
When I tried to get my car back, I was simply ignored because they were closed and it was 4pm not the 5pm. I strongly advise against dealing with this company!
I'm a fleet manager for a fairly large delivery company. One of my vans broke down with a flat tire this afternoon. He was in a bad location so the police had Treat's come out and tow our box truck They got my guy picked up, and replaced his tire in under 2 hours. EXCELLENT service, and the price was very reasonable. I only wish this shop was closer to our location, a fair priced shop that gets it done quickly is invaluable to me. I highly recommend Treats Garage.
We had a very complicated situation and were three states away from home. This team went above and beyond to help us!!! Not only did they rescue us from turnpike and pure chaos, they were super patient and kind to us.
It was a horrible experience with the whole ordeal taking 3 hours, on a cold dark evening sitting on the exit ramp of NJ turnpike exit 8A.
Treat’s Garage driver did not know the rules (or intentionally misguided), causing significant inconvenience! In speaking to the NJTA representative, the tow company is expected to tow to the nearest safe location. The driver denied the request to tow the car to my home, which is 1.6 miles (4 minutes) away from the stranded location or even a tire shop 2.3 miles away. Instead he stated that THEY HAVE TO tow it to their garage (Treat’s garage), which was 15.4 miles (22 minutes) away!! He asked to then contact AAA to tow it again to any other preferred location. It is ridiculous and illogical to inconvenient the stranded traveler in such a way!!
This just feels like a scam where knowing that Treat’s garage provides repairs and tire replacement services, they want to unprofessionally generate more business!! And if the car owner doesn’t get it repaired by them and doesn’t get it towed out of their parking lot by 9:30am, then they charge $46!!!
Very unprofessional, I had my truck breakdown on the turnpike as well. But I was able to get it to a rest stop. I had to leave the vehicle to get a hold of my mechanic for him to come and check the issue out. The port authority turned around and got my vehicle towed. The same day it broke down. It wasn’t even on the highway. It was in the parking spot. They went ahead and closed the shop early so I can pay the overnight fee. Charged me almost $500. Owner is very ignorant and rude, and I do not recommend any business to him. Please stay away.

My minivan with 240K miles finally crapped out on the Jersey Turnpike on the way home to Virginia. I have never had to be towed off a highway before and was not happy when the turnpike authority said they would dispatch a tow. I thought, "Great! It's Sunday morning and I'm going to get some p'oed tow driver who doesn't want to be up much less working and he is going to gauge me." But that didn't happen.
Tom, who is the most pleasant person I ever encountered arrived and saved the day. He walked me through the process and made sure both my wife and I were comfortable with what was happening. He surprised me. Thankfully.
Next I had to arrange a tow or a final resting place for the ceased car from home in Virginia. I was not looking forward to it. I had visions of this old lady with a craggy voice and an indifferent attitude on the other end of the phone with no interest in helping me because I was interrupting her tuna sandwich and cigarette. I was pleasantly surprised when Shannon picked up the phone and was incredibly empathetic and understanding. I know she must have been smiling because I could hear it loud and clear through the phone. She was so understanding and walked me through how to exchange the title with Treats and how they would send my plates back - for someone who has never been through this, it made my day, my week, and my month!

This company is very unprofessional and completely scammers from the owner to her workers. Charged $900 to tow truck no more than 10 miles, picked up vehicle because the truck broke down on turnpike after 5pm which as per their hours the shop is closed. Arrived at their location at 6pm and was awaiting mechanic to pickup the truck and pay for the tow, was told that they charge $150 to wait, mechanic arrived at 7:10pm driver refused to accept payment just so they can charge an overnight rate. Owner is terribly rude and unprofessional as well as inconsiderate
I experienced some unfortunate car trouble on the interstate where my AAA services could not be utilized. I was connected to Treat’s Garage and Mackey’s Towing and was very impressed by their quick response and helpfulness. Nick was extremely knowledgeable about the services in the local area and educated me on next steps. I’m so grateful to have been connected to Nick and this company for helping me and for being so understanding of my circumstances as a person unfamiliar with the area and car troubles. I highly recommend using this business if you ever find yourself in a crisis where a tow is necessary! Thank you Treat’s for all the assistance.

Fixed the tandems on my semi trailer in short order. The crew that came out were friendly, polite and extremely professional. The office staff was very helpful and prompt. I even got to chat with the owner and she was awesome. I hope I don't break down on the turnpike again but knowing that this company is coming to help gives me piece of mind.
Treat's was the best! Everyone was incredibly professional but with the hometown touch. When I was stuck with a disabled car in a strange place hundreds of miles from home they turned it around completely! Got me going in no time, and for a very reasonable price. I would recommend them to everyone! Excellent! Five Stars all the way!
The tow was fast, I’ll give them that. But $180! They had our trailer for three days (we had to to leave it with them and continue on to a funeral I’m a different state). We needed to pick it back up on our way home and told them from the beginning that we do not live in the area and are on a tight schedule. We called each day to check in. They didn’t even bother trying to get the correct part until the day we were due to pick it up. Not surprisingly they got the wrong part. They said it wouldn’t be ready for a week even though my husband called around and FOUND the part at a store ten minutes from their shop. They wouldn’t even bother to drive and get it. So I’m our way past Trenton we stopped and bought it and took it to them! Sure enough, it was the right part and it got fixed.
Very unprofessional behavior both from a customer service perspective and a competency perspective.

Can't thank Treats garage enough. I happen to be self quarantining in an RV next to my house due to working as a first responder. This day, we received a weather report of possible 60 to 80 MPH winds coming later in the afternoon, I had to move my RV in heavy rain in order to get it out from under a few 100 foot trees. In the process, I managed to get it sunk in the very wet grass/mud in back yard. I was in complete panic the RV was now in a worse spot than even before. I called AAA, no help. Called a local towing company, No help. Called Treats. They were extremely helpful, understood my predicament and did everything in their power to help me. In under 45 minutes they had a large tow truck there, their on scene towing and cabling skills are 5 star. After about 20 mins, they had my large RV towed across about 100 feet of extremely soft ground. I am grateful they removed the risk of a destroyed RV, but more importantly it kept me safe and my family safe during these crazy times.
My car had to be towed of the NJ turnpike and Jim was right there to pick me up. He was super friendly and had great conversation especially during a very stressful time when a car breaks down. I didn't have my AAA card on me, he suggested to have them email me a copy of my card so that the service would be covered. They wouldn't be able to just take my membership number. I'm so happy he suggested that. The last tow truck company I used wouldn't do that and would only take a physical card. I really appreciated them for being so helpful, especially since I just had a bad experience with another tow truck company. It was nice that they had a warm office and benches that I could wait on. There were not enough stars on this page for this garage, I had the head gasket go on my car and took it to a different shop, I was so uncomfortable with them i was ready to junk the car, I called Treats never having done business with them before and spoke to Adam. I can't say enough good things about this shop. Quality work, excellent customer service and very fair prices. this is now my garage. I would recommend them to any one. Adam and his wife know how to take care of a customer Thanks again for all you did.
This garage is amazing. They towed my car off the express section of NJ Turnpike at night. Their driver was extremely knowledgeable, calm and experienced and understanding of my plight. The next morning I received a call from the front desk with a report and a best plan for my German car . As I am from New England they recommended the dealerships nearby best to use The next town driver informed me of how lucky I was to have Treats answer the call as they are straight forward adding how the other two licensed NJ Turnpike towers are shifty by adding $$$ surcharge for the tow off the Turnpike and pad repair estimates. Treats has been a family owned business since approximately 1929 . Absolutely wonderful.
I had a breakdown on my way to DC and these guys not only fixed my car, they gave me a ride to and from a hotel to catch some sleep while they fixed my car. Customer service was first rate. Price was very, very good. Thought i would get screwed because I was from out of town. I would recommend these guys to my mom. Thanks everyone at Treat's!!
My boyfriend and I had car trouble on the New Jersey Turnpike and called AAA for a tow. We were picked up within a half hour by Treat's Garage and were incredibly pleased with not only the timeliness of their service, but the quality and grace. The owner, Adam, left his home on a Wednesday evening to come get us and we left our car with him overnight to be diagnosed in the morning. We were obviously distraught (as one hopes to never have to be towed off the turnpike) but he was very kind and put us at ease. I received a call about my car by 10:30am the next morning and we were back on the road that day. Prices were reasonable and fair, and, like I said, considering the circumstances, we had a very pleasant experience.
I give them no stars! AAA called them out as they couldn't tow cars off the NJ turnpike. It was a minor thing ( my wiper came off) They came out and explained that they would tow me to their shop but they could not help me once I got there because they were closed! The shop was far from where I was headed and I felt it would be easier to go to the rest stop garage for something this minor. I refused the tow and called a family member instead. Now they are proceeding to swindle me out of the $84 dollar tow cost! Even though they did not tow me they charged my card any way (twice!!). I called to speak to the owner and he claimed it was a service fee because they used their gas to get there!!!!!! Mind you I never called them and they did nothing! This is a very unethical business! AAA should stop using them! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!!!!!
