I love this place. Every time I go here they have me out in 20 minutes or less. The times they weren’t able to fix my car (dented rim and auto body work) they recommended someone local who was equally as great with very good pricing. 5 stars. Highly recommend
Do not get work done here. They’ll lie about the service you need to charge you extra. Told me my transmission was failing and changed my oil for $300. Went to a transmission professional that told me my transmission was in excellent condition. Criminal behavior. Stay far away.

Great people and service (specifically the owner). I had my 2002 minivan towed here with a flat tire about a year ago. They quickly fixed it and charged such a fair rate. I brought it back a few months later for a major electrical issue and they ran a bunch of tests and honestly explained what was going on. They recommend me to someone who had the parts to fix it and the car has been going strong since then. I really trust and rely on these guys. Exactly what you hope for from a neighborhood mechanic.
Great guys. Since I moved here I go to them whenever there's issues I need resolved that I want done properly. Fair prices and always friendly. It's hard to find mechanics that you can trust.
A helpful and easygoing owner who makes sure the work is done well—this is a good shop and very clean. The prices are fair and they can tell you what to expect. Able to refer to other services if needed because owner has a good understanding of the area and a great network. I’m pleased.

I took my car for a diagnostic, I told them. To "check" the motor mounts and the rear shocks. They said they were going to call me. I waited for the call, and it never arrived.
When I went to pick up my car, they charged over 800 dls. They changed the rear shocks and just one motor mount without my approval. When I questioned them, they said they could "remove" the new ones and put the old ones back.
Furthermore, after the change, the car is making noise in rear. I went back and I told them that, ever since the did the work, there is a new noise in the back section
The checked and they came up with the stupid estimate of another 1000 dls to "fix" things that are not related to the noise.
And, on top of that, they charged me for checking.
They only care about the money, they don't really care about customers nor the job they do. Although, they are very expensive.
I do not recommend this place unless of course, you don't care of being ripped off.
I called to find out about installing a new front bumper and was told to come in. After arriving and speaking to the owner, Alfredo, he tells me to wait till he got back to me and to stay in the waiting area. After 50 minutes pass he has someone come and tell me they don't do the work he had initially told me they did do. Great waste of time and he was arrogant on top of it all. Dude you have a business and I am just a client, you don't have to act tough cause you're not. Definitely need to educate yourself on proper etiquette. Don't just pick and choose who you want to be nice to, be nice to everyone. Hope this helps you.
I noticed one of my tires extremely low pressure. I never had this problem before so I was nervous if it gets flat right away on the road. I called Alfredo's tire and the guy was really nice. As soon as I parked the store, he fixed it in 15 mins.(patching the tire) Wow....This place saves my life.... Thank you so much. I will let all my friends go here for fixing any repair. The service price very reasonable and quick, however they don't have all the needed equipment. The changed a sensor in one of my tire however didn't have the equipment or couldn't reset the dashboard light. I had to take it to another shop and have it reset to my my dashboard light out.
Alfred's is fantastic. I haven't had any real work done but I went to them because my daughter had am oil light on that wouldn't go off. They spent about half an hour checking it out and it turned out to be a reset issue. These guys did not charge us a penny for their time. Leaving me to believe they are not rip off artist. They'll diagnose your car and won't charge you anything. These guy's can be trusted, period. Thanks Alfredo's. You're the best.
These guys will most definitely fix whatever problems you have with your car. I came here to get my A/C fixed, including the leaks, they were relatively quick and it feels great to be having this luxury during the summer. The prices are very good too, definitely consider coming here!

Finding a good honest mechanic with good prices is very difficult. It is something that stresses people out. I've been living in Union City for almost 10 years and have always gone back to Queens to see my mechanic. But I knew it was time to find a mechanic that is closer. I took my car to Alfredo's to install front struts and links that I already had purchased on my own. He actually quoted me the exact price that my Queens mechanic quoted me. So I knew his price was fair.
I went on a Saturday morning at exactly 8am when they opened. I was about the 5th person on line. They finished with my car at about 9:30am. So the turnaround was really fast and appreciated. The staff was very busy and this was during the heat wave. So that they did the work this fast is truly amazing. I also want to give kudos to Alfredo's son. He does a good job communicating with customers and organizing everything in the morning to make sure everything is done in an orderly manner. I think I found my mechanic for future car needs!
I've been to Alfredo's for several issues I had with my car ( tires busts, electrical issues, radiator ) each and every time I left satisfied. Very courteous service, usually on the same day. My Jersey car service center!!!
Do not go here! They charged me to much to “fix” my tire. In NYC, I used to pay less, go figure why they charge more. One week later, my tire was out of air again. I took it to another place, they told me that they shouldn’t have fixed it since the hole on the edge of the tire. I was already unhappy with the price, and adding the fact that I just waisted my money!
Alfredo and his team of mechanics are the best in my area. He was referred to me by my brother in law Ray many years ago and I must say I was never disappointed with the work they did for my vehicles. With Alfredo you will receive excellent friendly customer service, prices, great mechanics, fast results all in a timely manner. Alfredo's mechanic shop has 6 bays to accommodate you. They also do air conditioning repairs and recharging. It's extremely difficult to find a good, honest mechanic but look no further because Alfredo is a great mechanic and employs several top notch mechanics and is very honest. I know this because I did my homework and found him to be on point with pricing.
Took my car in on a Monday for a clutch replacement and air-conditioning fix. They did both jobs by Wednesday, pricing was good. Only 4 stars because on my way home the undercarriage of the car came off and was dragging on the highway. It is something I have fixed myself before, the metal clips were just never clamped and screwed back into the bumper it was an easy fix, and I think it was just an accidental oversight. I would go back, it is nice to know that they can handle all types of jobs and I would rather give my money to an independent shop instead of the shady corporate ones. They saved me at least $300 less than any other shop, would recommend.
I've been looking for a good repair shop since I moved from the Bronx and finally found it. Alfredo have a very professional service staff.

The best mechanic I had the pleasure of knowing great pricing and an overall great person. I recently moved to Orlando and had a problem with my 2002 Trailblazer it wouldn't start,called Alfredo on Thanksgiving Day and he guided me to what the problem could be and he was correct in his diagnostic guess. Alfredo thank you for all your help. I wish I could find an excellent mechanic like Alfredo in Orlando.
I have given Alfredo a five star rating before. As a mechanic he is excellent. He fixed my exhaust system for $150 while the big chain mechanics were quoting me $700. And I will continue to bring my car to him for general mechanic work. He does excellent work. Great prices and honest however if you need electrical work done. Do not use his mechanic who is not an employee of his but an independent contractor. My car was not starting. I was told that it was electrical draining the battery but not the battery itself. This mechanic, not Alfredo, charged me $600. The problem was not fixed then my battery was replaced and it's still not fixed. It's the ignition that's not connecting to the engine. Over $700 for an undiagnosed problem. Alfredo, I will still continue coming to you because you do good work but I would think twice of the mechanic who you refer to fix what may be an electrical problem. You do good work but he ripped me off while he said it was fully guaranteed. Sorry Alfredo. But he doesn't represent you. My car is now at another mechanics and I would prefer to bring it to you. But after all this money spent that did not resolve the problem, I cannot.
I am very proud to have a reliable mechanic for more than 7 years. They all work hard everyday and they always show great attitude towards their customers. They care to help us get our cars up and running.
Been coming here for years. Alfredo is one of the most honest mechanics I've ever dealt with in this state. I come from Bergen and Passaic county only to his shop. I've gone to other places but was charged double and the work wasn't even done correctly. Save money and time and go here to Alfredos.
One of my best experiences with a mechanic in a long time. I think everyone agrees trust is the number one thing you look for from a mechanic; somebody who will not rip you off or overcharge you for unnecessary services. Alfredo was very responsive to my needs & requests. I initially contacted him to fix my brakes, which he did speedily and at a great price! I also asked him to check out a leak, which he found to be just loose screw and bad job from previous mechanic. He could have told me anything, but he didn't charge me and resolved the problem. I've now recommended my father over to him and would strongly choose him over anybody if you're in the area.
What a GREAT experience I just had at Alfredo's! I first brought my Honda Accord EX V6 to the dealer where I was given an estimate so high for repairing two oil leaks that I might have considered walking away from what has been an excellent and reliable car for my family. Not surprisingly, it turns out that the dealer was, at best, incompetent and, at worst, trying to intentionally rob me! Thankfully, I listened to my father, who has been bringing his cars to Alfredo for years, and I drove my car directly from the dealer to Alfredo's shop. Alfredo is an extremely kind and knowledgeable gentleman who quickly diagnosed my problems (which were different and less serious than the ones the dealer told me I had) and expertly made the necessary repairs in a timely manner for an extremely fair price. The Mechanic who worked on my car, Juan, was also great and gave the car a thorough inspection in addition to fixing the oil leaks. He and Alfredo clearly explained to me what was good, what was good enough and what needed attention. After they were done working on the car, I really felt like I had taken good care of my car without being taken advantage of or paying one more dollar than was necessary. The bottom line is that when you walk into Alfredo's shop you will quickly realize that you have found there the rare combination of both expertise and integrity. Only Alfredo will be working on this car from now on.
I went there recently and they did an awesome job. i was having some transmission problems on my 2001 nissan quest. i only spent like $600 and it took them about 2 hours. i went to another auto shop they were charging me about $1400 and i had to leave the car for a week. i would recomend anyone to go to Alfredo's shop because you like get personal attention from Alfredo himself or his son who is an excellent mechanic too.
I am 18 years old and I just got my first car. My family and I have lived in Union City for many years and I remember always walking or driving by this repair shop. One day I realized that my car was leaking oil and I took it to get fixed. When I got to the repair shop they didn't explain to me what was wrong with my car and told me it was going to cost over two hundred dollars to fix. I did not think this was right, so I then decided to take it to Alfredo's shop. They treated me with respect and helped me right away. They told me that my car had a minor problem with the oil cap in the bottom of the car. I ended up paying less than half of what I would of payed in the other place. The workers here work hard and treat everyone with a lot of respect. Everytime my friends talk about problems they have with their car, I recommend them this place. I now know I have a secure place where I can take my car and not get ripped off.
