Kimberly (glasses with pink stones on the rim) at Member Services is really rude and disrespectful. I just stood in line for over 30minutes because she doesn’t know how to do her job. I finally get to her and she’s rude and disrespectful, as I’m talking to her she begins speaking Spanish to another customer, while holding my phone, and helps them complete a transaction where they had to step in front of me to complete. It’s ridiculous. I’ve given too much money to Sam’s Club to have to deal with this nonsense. She’s hella rude and definitely doesn’t need to be dealing with customers, put her in the stock room.

Bulk shopping. I love this place. Once you know what you regularly need (especially non perishables), this is the place to go. They do have very good perishable food as well but it is easy to over buy until you get used to what you need on a regular basis. I love the app that you can add to you phone to scan, shop and leave when ready. Definitely an huge enhancement. Being a Plus Member is definitely worth the annual fee. Shopping during hours that are only for Plus members makes it much easier to shop because there are substantially less people in the store during these hours. I have tried other similar “bulk shopping” stores and I would rather drive a little further to go to Sam’s than a closer competitor. Sam’s also offers delivery on many (not all) items which is a huge help. If you have never been to a Sam’s location, I would highly recommend at least checking them out. UPDATE 10/13/21: As my above review indicates, I love Sam’s Club. I am a plus member and go out of my way to shop during Plus members hours. I am very disappointed today that during the Plus hours appropriately 9:00AM they had a fire drill. I was already on my way out with everything scanned on my cart and they required that I leave the cart and go outside. Hopefully the drill will not take too much longer. In addition they have limits on many items although they appear to be fully stocked. This is upsetting and will require many trips. They should do the fire drill at their busiest time if they want to see how well they do. Also, what type of membership can I get to be able to get as many of an item even when there is a minimum for everyone else. I would pay extra for that membership. (See photos) UPDATE: 11/22/21: Made our 4 - 6 weeks trip again today. This time there was no limit on water however there was a limited on paper towels, tissues and toilet paper (1 per customer). Luckily the store still looks very well stocked. I love this store but since I get so much when I go, I wish they would arrange for a staff member to assist people to get the carts to their cars. Unfortunately when you walk out of the door you need to cross a busy part of the parking lot to get to where the cars are parked. There is a slight decline into the street and it is VERY difficult to hold the cart back from either rolling someone over, rolling into the street, or rolling yourself over. I noticed they do have more than one person in the parking lot collecting the carts. It would be much more helpful if at least one of those guys would be assigned to assist with moving the cart to your car. I think if they did that, it would be impossible for me to think of anything to improve at this point. UPDATE 10/21/25: See mist recently added video about my experience today

Sam’s Club pickup is a nightmare. No one helps, no one shows up, and you wait forever.

VERY DISAPPOINTED on the suppervisor’s response. I waited a few days to post this to calm down. we are new members to the club. Last Saturday I went shopping with my kids, as I was unloading my shopping cart my purse was stolen from my cart. I didn’t realize it at the moment, because I thought I had put it in the front seat before unloading my shopping cart. The. Again, shopping with 4 kids, and one of them being a baby one can miss details. My rating is based on the club’s staff response to my problem. Fortunately not all staff members showed the same Indifference but I think it’s important to let people know that accountability is not a concept known by at least one of the managers at Sam’s, her name is Jackie. I went on Sunday hoping someone turned in my purse , and was greeted by the customer service staff who referred me to Jackie, her supervisor, in hopes maybe she could help me find surveillance videos or some information. I asked about 4 people for Jackie, the last person I asked was waking with another staff member next to her, I told her I needed to speak with Jackie, her supervisor, her response was “why do you need her?”, I told Her my whole situation and the hope to see some footage, and THEN the lady walking with this lady said I am Jackie, and I can’t show you videos, police officers have to come for that. My problem, is not that the videos were not available, I understand the process, I was really disappointed that the supervisor decided to stand there and evaluate based on the need whether she would tell me it was her or not. This is not ok, as a manager you should not hide behind your staff, you should be stepping up and either answering questions or directing people to the right process. Jackie, I hope this review reached you, and hope you know you have some learning to do. Sam’s club, you should have a defined area for LOST and FOUnd, no employee knows where that is. Hope this gets better, we are stuck with a year long membership.

I've always been a Costco member, but when I tell you that the Scan and Go option on the Sam's Club app is a LIFE CHANGER, I mean it. One of the most dreadful things to do is go to a supermarket (or anywhere) on a sunday. With the app, you can walk in the store, pick everything you need, scan it and then pay for it without ever having to go to a register. That in itself saves about 45 minutes of your day. Prices are great, the place is always clean, the options are endless and there's always enough space where you don't feel like a sardine walking down the aisles.

After five previous trips hoping to find Clearly Canadian for my kids, I called ahead and was told it would finally be in stock. But when I arrived, the shelves were empty again. Feeling frustrated, I asked a nearby employee for help. He checked briefly and asked another employee and then that employee told me to find someone else. At that point, I was ready to give up. Then I saw Mike Hooper. Mike didn’t hesitate. He said, “Let me go check for you,” and actually did. Not only did he search the back, but he came out with a cart loaded with all five cases I had asked for. His kindness, initiative, and genuine care turned my entire experience around. It’s rare to find someone so dedicated to customer service, and Mike truly went above and beyond. This moment alone made my Sam’s Club membership worth it. We need more employees like Mike — he’s a standout and a true asset to the Secaucus location. Thank you, Mike!

I recently went to this Sam’s Club to purchase the Pokémon TCG collection and was very disappointed with how the event was handled. I even upgraded to a Plus membership (paying extra) so I could take advantage of early entry, but the process was completely mismanaged. I arrived around 7:40 AM and joined the line without a ticket. At 8:00 AM, they let everyone in without checking Plus memberships, which defeats the purpose of paying extra for early access. The manager, Jeremy, then announced that ticket holders without Plus memberships could still buy at 10:00 AM, and that the rest would be sold tomorrow. That didn’t make sense at all — if there are leftovers, people who waited in line should have the right to purchase them. After people without tickets complained, Jeremy changed his mind and said the leftovers would instead be sold at 12 PM. Even though this policy still didn’t make sense, we agreed, and we asked for tickets to confirm our place in line. I was given ticket #3. To make matters worse, one employee created unnecessary conflict by confusing me with someone else. A Black female employee was arguing with an Asian man in front of me, accusing him of trying to cut the line without a ticket. Later, she mistook me for that same individual simply because we were both Asian. She wrongly accused me of lying about having a ticket and even laughed at me in front of others, insisting it was me who had caused the issue. This was very unfair and unprofessional, and I felt singled out and treated poorly for no reason. When I returned before noon with my ticket, another employee, Wilmar, suddenly claimed it was “first come, first served,” contradicting what was said earlier. At 12:00 PM, Wilmar retrieved boxes from the back room and gave four to a woman with two boys, saying they had two memberships. They strongly resembled him, suggesting they may have been family — and they had never been in the early morning line at 8 AM. I clearly remembered who was there, and they were not part of it, yet he gave them priority. He then distributed more boxes to others who had received second tickets with me in the morning, and the product was gone before it ever reached me. Overall, the way this event was run showed poor management, lack of fairness, and possible favoritism. Customers who paid for Plus benefits and waited patiently were treated unfairly, while inconsistent rules and employee behavior created confusion and frustration. Very disappointing experience.

As always sam's Club always provide good service. Good prices, in spite of the tariffs. That's going on. I know you're doing your best to keep the price as low as you possibly can. But I still would give you 5 stars

I love Sams Club. Staff is very friendly and very professional. It is very easy to pay using the app. There are no long lines to pay or to exit the store like Costco. There are lots of places to park, not like Costco. The cafe is clean and its food is very delicious. Its prices and variety are way better than Costco. Highly recommend

I rarely leave negative reviews, but the customer service at the Edison, NJ Sam’s Club is absolutely unacceptable — and it’s been this way for far too long. Every time I try calling Member Services, I either get placed on hold forever or get hung up on. It’s nearly impossible to get anyone on the phone who’s willing to help, let alone follow through on a simple request. And if you ask to speak to a manager, good luck — they’re either “not available” or mysteriously unreachable. It feels like they’re avoiding accountability entirely. This isn’t just a one-time experience. It’s a consistent pattern of disorganization, poor training, and zero urgency to assist paying members. Basic issues go unresolved. Staff seem overwhelmed or indifferent. The in-store lines are slow, there’s little to no floor assistance, and trying to get help at the customer service desk is a waste of time. What’s worse is the complete lack of visible or effective management. No leadership presence, no oversight, and clearly no urgency to improve. How is this location still operating like this? Sam’s Club corporate really needs to take a hard look at the management at this location. Members deserve better than this level of neglect. I’ve been a loyal customer for years, but this experience has me seriously rethinking my membership.

Sam's club is a great alternative to Costco. I am memberships in both and both have specific things that I like about them, but Sam's club More variety of items than Costco. I'm not quite sure if they are consistent in what they purchase. That's my biggest problem with Costco. You like something and then all of a sudden it's gone forever but I would try both and see what you like. Much better than BJ's

I always shop at this store but this time when I went and had to go to customer service I notice the person working had glasses on and I also notice that the glasses were Raybans with the camera’s built into them I brought it up to the supervisor that was on duty. Me as a customer was he recording customer information maybe he was maybe he wasn’t but he shouldn’t be able to wear them when dealing with people information and hopefully something is done about this

Shocked and deeply frustrated by the discriminatory treatment at this Sam's Club just now, June 24th. I attempted a gift card purchase. My credit card briefly declined due to a standard bank security check, which I immediately resolved. Despite my payment being cleared, Team Lead 'Demmy' intervened and explicitly ordered the cashier to refuse my purchase. When I tried to explain the bank's clearance, Demmy was incredibly dismissive, repeatedly told me to 'listen to her', then she avoided answering questions about her name or how to file a complaint, and even falsely claimed gift cards can't be bought with credit cards. Her communication with the cashier in Spanish while deciding my transaction also felt deliberately exclusive. This felt like direct discrimination, targeting me unfairly. Unprofessional and unacceptable behavior that Sam's Club upper management needs to investigate.

I am writing to express my disappointment with a negative experience I had at your store today, June 20th 2025 , around 3 PM. I’ve been visiting the club frequently in preparation for my upcoming baby shower and have generally encountered helpful and compassionate staff who have assisted me due to my pregnancy—for which I am truly grateful. However, during today’s visit, I asked a female associate at the exit where they check receipts (Hispanic, blonde hair, wearing veneers) if there were any electric carts available, as I’ve had staff help locate or charge one for me in the past. Instead of assisting, she dismissed me, stating, “It’s whatever is out here.” When I kindly asked if she could contact a supervisor (as I’ve seen done before), she refused and told me to go find them myself, despite clearly having a pager and two phones on her. I found her behavior unnecessarily rude and unprofessional, especially given my condition. There were no other customers needing her attention at the time, and her unwillingness to help felt like a stark contrast to the caring service I’ve received from other team members at your store. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, and that additional training or appropriate action is taken to ensure all customers—especially those with health considerations—are treated with respect and care.

I’m truly disappointed with my recent experience at Sam’s Club on May 3, 2025. This was only my second visit, and I had recently purchased a membership, expecting a smooth experience similar to other warehouse clubs like Costco or Walmart. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I had ordered 24 large storage containers online and picked them up on April 27th, but upon bringing them home, I realized they were too large for my needs. I decided to return 20 of them. It’s important to note that I live in the Bronx and drove all the way to New Jersey just for this return, trusting that Sam’s Club’s return process would be fair and straightforward. However, things quickly went downhill. As soon as I entered with the boxes, instead of being greeted courteously, an associate immediately rushed to me and said I could only return 9 items. We were confused, but she later clarified that we had two separate orders and could return 18. When we asked to confirm this with a manager, the situation became extremely unprofessional. The manager arrived and repeatedly, and quite loudly, said “ONLY 10.” She showed no willingness to listen, no explanation, no reference to a written return policy—just a loud, dismissive attitude. When we mentioned what the associate had told us, she simply said she didn’t care what others said. She even instructed staff not to accept more than 10 items from us, despite their own confusion and attempts to clarify the situation. What made this worse was the overall tone and lack of basic customer service. I understand there can be policies, but they need to be communicated clearly *at the time of purchase*—and more importantly, handled with professionalism and empathy. This experience left me extremely frustrated and disheartened. I recorded the entire interaction because I could hardly believe how poorly it was handled. As a paying member, I expected better. Due to this incident, I am personally choosing to cancel my membership and will not be returning. I hope this feedback encourages management to revisit how they handle returns and how they train staff in customer service. No customer should be treated this way.

I have been shopping at the Sam's for last 6 months now. Very well organized, easy to find the stuffs especially produce, staff is cooperative. Being such a big place, something it tends to get dirty but the staff is attentive to it and does it up on time. Only thing that I do not like is the merchandise does get out of stock so quickly that we have to keep an eye on the stock.

I had to stop there in emergency for tires while traveling, excellent service. While we waited in store looking at eye glasses they were able to replace our 2 front tires even though they were very busy.

Great shopping experience, awesome prices and the greatest part.........SCAN & GO! How has now one else adopted this method!

I came to buy a membership and the custom service didn’t find anyone who could sell it, I had to wait until some guy came who could do it. Absolutely everything, from buying a member ship to buying a hot dog, everything is very slow. The employees can barely move. The range of healthy or organic food is small. if you're looking for this, it's better to look at another store

I LOVE shopping here too much stuff to list I have pics from my last run to stock up. I'm a locomotive Engineer and spend lots of time on the rails so I need snacks and such to eat while on the road. This is easiest way to stock up pantry and the scan and go is unmatched. Other stores limit you to 20 items...

I always go to this store, the reason is that it sells wholesale items at reasonable prices. It also has a section for baked goods and cakes, a section for meat, dairy, and eggs, a section for vegetables and fruits, and everything you need from household appliances and electrical appliances. You can shop through the sam’s club app, order in advance and pick it up from the store, or request delivery to your home. You can also shop in-store through the app and pay without standing in line. I recommend going for it and making an annual subscription because it's worth it. Not to forget that the staff is friendly, helpful and patient with customers.

Do not ever ever ever purchase rotisserie chicken from there. The employees in that department are either taking the chicken out before the timer sets off or they just simply don’t care!!!! It’s shameful how Sams club can actually sell cooked food that will severely sicken a person!! Find out which employee was in charge of cooking the rotisserie chicken on June 28th 2023. I checked out my groceries at 2:06pm so the person in charge of cooking it during those hours is going to be the cause of a lawsuit when someone gets sick from your raw food!! I will be sending those photos to corporate.

Return section and customer service section are very understaffed. It can easily take 20 minutes to get any help with membership or returns. There optical section don’t accept eyemed insurance. Return is horrible, it took 15 minutes for associate to figure out how to return. I bought membership just because it was offered for free but then I can see why they offered free membership You get what you pay
