Try to stay away from this shop, they charged me more than $800 just for oil change and fuel filter with the breakdown.
I would give them 0 star if I could.Jun 09, 2025 -

Great service and reliable team!
I had a breakdown on my way through Kearny and called up Roadrunner based on the reviews. They lived up to the expectations. The team was responsive, professional, and got me back on the road quicker than I expected. What stood out most was how transparent they were about the issue and pricing—no surprises, no pressure.
The shop is busy, which says a lot, but they still managed to fit me in and give personal attention. Definitely one of the better truck repair experiences I’ve had in a while. Highly recommend Roadrunner if you need honest, skilled mechanics who know what they’re doing.Jun 06, 2025 -

One of the two techs that came out to fix my trailer tires was on some heavy stuff. Kept falling asleep and dropping his phone. Hope my wheels don’t fall off.

I usually get my DOT inspections done at Roadrunner through my company, and the process has always been straightforward—until today. I was attended by Michael, who insisted I needed new tires or I wouldn’t pass the inspection. That was odd, especially when he quickly brought in someone selling tires.
Michael claimed the rear tires needed to be at least 7/32 tread depth to pass. What he didn’t expect was that I’d check the tread myself with a gauge—my tires were at 7/32 and 8/32. For the record, the actual DOT minimum tread depth for rear tires is 2/32.
It became clear to me that there was some kind of arrangement going on between Michael and the tire seller. It felt like a pushy sales tactic, not an honest inspection. I ended up going elsewhere and passed the inspection with no issues. This experience raised some serious concerns about trust and integrity at this location.May 06, 2025 -
SCAMMERS !!! Tried to sell semi trailer recap tire like a virgin for $480. Very slow, poor service with crazy prices. Changed 2 tires and mudflap took all day. Mixed tire sizes, mechanics have no idea what they doing. Horrible, horrible experience. Never again. NOT RECOMMEND !!! Those shops like this should not exist !!! STAY AWAY !!!

This is for Able Breakdown Service: brought my truck to get fixed, when we went to pick it up and once we turned it on the whole truck was shaking. Their answer was there were other issues with it but they never told us anything before on the phone, they only said truck is ready. From there took it to another shop only to get advised from the new shop that the truck might have been deliberately damaged... I regret calling them, it costed me more then the truck's worth
be careful go somewhere else if you can!Dec 06, 2024 -
I had the wrong number of another road runner company moving my car. I asked what was going on politely and the AWFUL WRETCHED women on the phone got an attitude instantly and asked me to watch my tone. Excuse you?
Woman needs to go back to highschool with her attitude. Ruining a whole business.

good communication and genuine understanding. they got to the problem with my truck and were able to give me a number of options with regards to repairs. the mechanics are very professional and keep you in the loop. each time i called Bobby, i never heard a second ring, regardless of what time it was. he’s genuine about his business and doesn’t sugar coat. he lets you know what’s wrong and gives you the best way to fix it. they were thorough about my truck and i should be getting it back today. come to Jersey a lot and am relieved that i found an honest shop to take my truck to.

Very impressed with the professionalism and quality of work this place gave us. I found myself in a predicament needing a new wheel hub and they were more than accommodating to my needs. A service truck met up with me at my breakdown location to verify the issue and was able to chain up my axle and personally escort me back to their facility in Kearny for a permanent repair. They were very quick as they have a large parts department on site and were able to get me back up in running the same day as opposed the making me wait a day for parts. The staff was very professional and the pricing was very fair especially for that part of the country. 10/10. would highly recommend.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I won't bother you with the details but I ended up in a different shop to fix everything this place screwed up. They did offer a tow and offered to repair it "right" but that's like getting a STD and being offered free medicine just to end up with a new STD. I was told about plenty of parking and vending machines and it sounds nice from a person who doesn't actually work at this shop...but serial killers are often nice before they kill you...which is what they did to my truck. Nearly $ 1600 to fix it right. Not to mention the lost revenue...$6000 alone for the day they broke it...Luckily no engine damage from the coolant leaking out of the truck. Like ALL of it...or the sensor they cut because it was easier than fixing the low coolant code or the check engine light...or the fact that they put the wrong reservoir in...they created more problems. However, I'd stay away from this place if you like your truck.

Travelling through the area from Canada with a 40ft RV. These guys answered on a holiday weekend when no one else would and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of! I can not say enough about how friendly the service was.
They are very busy so maybe not the fastest with us and they had trucker who make a living on the road that needed to be serviced (way more important than a leisure traveller in my opinion). Still had us out the same day the parts department opened back up.
The emergency service was not cheap but if you are driving a larger class vehicle you must expect that.
If you need emergency road service these are the guy!Jan 03, 2023 -
Courtesy and professionalism are the two adjectives I'd use to describe this company.
In a world of increasingly bad truck service options, these guys stand out as superstars! From the courteous and polite service on the phone, to the tech that went out to my guys, they were pro all the way! Our truck was stuck in Manhattan with a liftgate that was stuck in the downward position, and these guys got to them in a timely fashion and got my guys back on the road in no time.
Highly recommend Roadrunner Towing!Jul 12, 2022 -
Claimed to be experts about a vehicle I brought in. I even suggested the likely cause of the problem, but they managed to "repair" $1000+ other things, and the van came back to me not running, with a blown up muffler. I addressed the issue myself once it was back to my garage, and it runs just fine. As the saying goes, if you want it done right, you have to do it yourself.

Very good guys here and they do decent work on the trailers. For the most part it's a mechanic shop that does mechanic work on trucks and trailers. They have even replaced boxes on straight trucks and repaired trailer roofs that have been ripped off by drivers who don't pay attention to signs of low bridges. Some great fabrication work also.

Found them through truckdown.com They sounded very promising, but they failed to call me with an estimate, even though I called them 5 times in a couple of hours to find out what the issue is and how much it would cost us, every time Bob would say I will call you in 5-10 mins. They charged us $2000 to replace 4 batteries and starter without checking with us, also they said they patched up one tire that had a nail in it, when our driver got back to the truck the nail was still in the tire. I highly suggest you avoid these guys, they are amateur highway crooks.
