Unreliable and customer service useless. They sent me the wrong items and did not want to check if my order was still in the store. I normally don't shop at this location but my items were supposed to come from there. My child is sick and now doesn't have her new meds. Now I need to request a refund then reorder which won't come today.

The employee was incredibly rude. Even though I was a member, it felt like I was begging her to do her job. She just stayed on her phone while we were asking for help; it was clear she was exchanging private messages.

There is a serious problem with the employees. Some of them ignore you when you speak. Others unfortunately say, “I can’t do it, go ask someone else.” You are hiring unqualified people and lowering the quality of the service.

I had an excellent experience at the Walmart in Kearny, NJ thanks to Anna and Crystal. Both were absolutely amazing—professional, knowledgeable, respectful, and welcoming from start to finish.
Crystal, the Store Lead, was absolutely outstanding. Her energy level was perfect, she was extremely helpful, and her communication skills were exceptional. She truly sets the standard for great customer service and would be an excellent example for training other employees across the company.
Anna was equally wonderful, making us feel appreciated and comfortable as customers. Their positive energy and professionalism made this visit a great experience. Thank you both for going above and beyond! Happy happy New year's and many blessings alwaysJan 06, 2026 -
If you're in need of help from any of its employees, you can forget about it. Every employee that I've encountered here responds with "this is not my department" and walks away, to "I don't work here" WHILE WEARING A WALMART VEST. No one ever helps, or knows where anything is. The customer is left to fend for yourself here.

I'm all for equality, however if I come to an establishment ask 5 different ppl the same question can I get the same replies , either they English is not that good or they don't understand me. It becomes frustrating . As a sales associate on floor associate you should be able to assist all customers in some compacity

A big Walmart with a grocery section. They have a great selection of things to buy, but it is extremely busy. Lots of people everywhere. Staff with trolleys in every aisle. You have to pack your patience when you go there. It was an experience not for everyone. I liked their selection of item. I will visit that Walmart again in the future.

If you ever need to get something that is unlocked in the automotive and tools / hardware section….good luck finding an employee. Theres never anyone with the key in that area. I pressed the button multiple times and waited over 10 minutes for an associate to come. Whenever I go to the next department to ask them to call whoever is in the hardware area, they tell me to go look for another employee….they have walkie talkies. I’m not playing wheres waldo. Lazy people and terrible customer service. Go to the Garfield location

I had a very disappointing experience at this Walmart location. The associate who was helping me stopped in the middle of the service to assist someone else and never finished what he was supposed to do. This was extremely unprofessional and shows a lack of basic customer service skills.
He clearly doesn’t know how to do his own job, and the level of care he showed was unacceptable. It’s frustrating to see someone getting paid and not doing the work they are responsible for. Because of this, I believe he should not be in this position. Very poor service overall.Dec 07, 2025 -
bought a couple gingerbread houses to build from here, open the box and every piece is cracked, beyond destroyed…what a waste of money and time, obviously they have employees throwing items around. Also super ghetto, was in the auto detailing section and boxes were ripped open and various items stolen/taken out of boxes, do better walmart kearny.

Walmart always has what's needed. This time we used the Bakery and Alba was so helpful in our pickup. Had to do a last minute change of pickup person but it all worked out. Friendly and she knows her stuff.

80% of the staff only understand or speak Spanish in an English speaking country. You ask them questions, and they tell you they do not understand English. That’s really frustrating. The only reason I gave 3 star is because the store is well stocked. Otherwise, it would have been. 1 star.

What can I say about this Walmart, it is my favorite one, is conveniently close to my home, it always has everything I need, I do most of my grocery shopping here. My favorite time to go shopping is between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm. This is a great Walmart it is always organized.

The Kearny Walmart is clean, well-stocked, and very convenient for everyday shopping. They usually have everything I need — from groceries to home essentials — all in one place. The staff is helpful and friendly, and checkout is quick whether you use self-checkout or regular lanes. Fast, reliable, and efficient.
The Money service representative was a bit unwelcoming at first, when she saw the amount of bills she would have to be counting.
But after realizing that if she had taken my bills already in 50s and separated by the bands, it would have made everything better/easier for her when counting the money, we just all had to laugh out loud.
So, we laughed about it and wished each other a great day. I told her that I might/would return again next time. And of course with better bills separation. And of course she was happy that I brought a whole lot of smaller bills that her other customers would appreciate throughout the day.
You might not get them on the phone, as I didn’t. But take the trip to the Kearny Walmart in NJ. I did the money order purchase which was a $1 per money order. And if I remember correctly they are open 7days a week.

I came to this Walmart and it was the worse experience EVER all employees are trash no one wanted to help at all got a man I ask him if the trash can has a lid he said I don’t know I don’t work here having a scan in his hand he brush me off second incident I ask a lady for help again I can’t help you they don’t pay for over time then I got a rude lady tell my daughter she hit her with the shopping cart I said mam my daughter did not touch you I ask my daughter and she said no I didn’t touch her I said excuse me and she just look at me up and down to top it off I was already upset that NO ONE HELPS YOU I ask another employee name Blanca ask her in English and Spanish who is your supervisor she said I don’t know I said you don’t know who is your supervisor’s so if something is happening you don’t know who they are she said no is not my problem I said oh okay no problem that’s when I asks another employee for a supervisor he said did I do something I said what?? No I need a supervisor NOW he said Summer or something like that but then I saw a couch manager name Angel I stop him started explaining the situation to top it off another customer was complaining about the same problem smh this is so sad what value Walmart give none to top it off angel just don’t even acknowledge me, not even an apology I got this will be my last time I will step a foot in Walmart DONT WASTE YOUR TIME

I came in urgently needing something from the cosmetics section — and unbelievably, the manager decided to close the entire cosmetics lane 10 minutes before the posted closing time. Not only did they refuse to let me in, they were rude and dismissive, showing zero concern or basic customer service.
It’s outrageous that a store this size doesn’t honor its own hours or help a customer in real need. Instead, they lock it down early and turn people away like it’s an inconvenience to do their actual job.
This store clearly does not care about customers, emergencies, or even sticking to its own schedule. Absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional — and I won’t be coming back.

The worst walmart I have ever visited. Better go to other store. They have items in stock but if I go there they don’t have a key to open case. Never depend on this store for any services. They simply closed the return service and stated employe had to leave early and they don’t update anything online. I suggest them to update online and don’t waste others time

I purchased AirPods online and got something totally wrong. But the store won’t return for me. They ask for serial number which I don’t have cuz I never received the correct item in the first place. Averya and her team are rude and disrespectful. I had to hold my phone to their faces this whole time while she talking to the customer service on my phone. The lady under her management is also really rude. I called customer service and on the phone for an hour there talking with them, never were able to return the item and get a refund. I feel like getting scammed. The picture shows what I actually got.. be careful if you purchase electronics at Walmart. They will ship you something totally wrong, probabaly worn 2$ instead of 200$ I purchased. What a disgrace. I have to wait 24-48 hours for a shipping label sent to my email and I have to ship the item back to them, after ALL THIS, without knowing if I will ever get a refund back.

Wal-Mart is a definite go to!! I have been trying to get into the store for a month but the lines are long. Tonight I had to take the plunge. Their stock is amazing and I was able tho shop four both groceries and clothes! The lines were not too bad and I'm happy to say I got everything I needed! Also everyone was wearing a mask and most people respected space..

The staff here are really helpful. The place has everything. I did not know that they don't have tap-to-pay so it was good that I brought a credit card

They have a set of bathrooms in a container truck. Mostly used by contractors it seems, but what a great thing to have for anyone even if they never go into the store
I met some people there. It is true that this is a meet-in-the-parking-lot destination, something Walmart is famous for. But it's clean and welcoming, so it's no wonderOct 10, 2024 -
A very strange visit.. I felt like I was back in the beginning of the pandemic because there was nothing on the shelves in this store. I don't know the reason why & the last time I was inside here was Sept 2020. Parking was fine, employees and security was polite, the bathrooms were clean, and surprisingly there was only one person in front of me when I got to the line. I went about an hour or 2 before closing. But the shelves were so empty it was very inconvenient. I don't typically expect much from Walmart to begin with. (Rolls eyes) They added something that looked like metal detectors but the security described to me it was just so people don't walk out the wrong way.
