Five stars. Came in the time they said they would come! Courteous, professional got right to work, and has a flatbed so I know my car is safely transported.
I went to get my oil changed because my car needed it and I was going to visit my sister in VA the next day. I didn't have an appointment and I needed it done ASAP. They made time to get my car done and change my oil so I could do what I needed to do. The customer service was really great. They are not trying to scam you or make you give a review for a discount or make you pay for things you don't need. This will be my go-to spot moving forward.
This company is GREAT!!!! From the towing service, and the auto mechanic service I had done on my vehicle(Starter replacement) . The price was reasonable. They didn’t screw over me because I’m a woman, that was very different and cool. I left with my car driving like it was brand new and I drive a 2008 Honda. I highly recommend Velez towing, for their towing and car service needs.
I have to say, Velez Towing is the best I've ever worked with. They charged me $40 less than other towing companies, and Greg provided excellent customer service. I highly recommend this company.
Great place for tires, especially decent used tires. Much faster service than conventional places like Pep Boys, Firestone or such and prices are good as well. Make sure to check the used tires they find, sometimes they can rush it a bit. Have gotten new tires here as well, and they were ok...but probably better using places like Costco for new tires. Always friendly staff, owner. Will definitely be back when the need arises. Can’t comment on towing services.
Do not go here. I thought they were good. My Honda Pilot had an electrical problem, instead of telling my son this, they told him we needed a new battery. Whaaat! Charged him $198.00 why?????
Dashboard lights were still blinking out of control. Why lie and take people's hard earned money. And by the way, I didn't need a battery. All they had to tell him is we don't do electrical work! Not good business etiquette. Beware !!!!!!!!!!
Do not go here I repeat don’t go here for any work went in to get my brakes changed which they did a good and quick job at that at a fair price. But it wasn’t work the big gash/scrap they put on one of my rims. All my rims where scrap free no scratches. After the service I was pleased but upon getting home I realized there was a big gash on my rim at Least of a 1/8 of an inch deep. I should’ve inspected the rims of the car before I left I was too trusting. I mean you pay someone to do a job you expect them to do it right. I should’ve been more vigilant and watched them more closely. When he was taking the brakes off he would just toss them across the garage like that should’ve been an indicator. Know I will be having either to try and see if I can repair the rim or replace it all together. Which will end up costing me more the what I paid for the service. Not worth it in the least bit! Think 10 times before coming here for work. These people are careless with other peoples cars. I don’t know if it’s just that they don’t care or are envious of others cars. Never again will I go here for anything if I get a flat tire
I have had two separate issues with two different cars. I went to Velez tires and both issues were fixed and resolved. They also did a wheel alignment after buying tires for my car as well. The prices were fair, the service was great and quick. I wouldn’t deal with anyone else for my tires.
Had a tire so flat that I was afraid to try and drive it to the shop. They provided towing and fixed the tire. He showed me what the problem was with the old tire, and then explained why I should get a used tire instead of manipulating me into buying a new one. I really appreciated that.
horrible experience. agreed on the price over the phone (which is already very expensive), and after the tow, they told me the price was for cash only, and for credit card, it will be 20% fee.
Charged me $85 to tow to a dealership which I was happy with but then i had some complications and needed to either take car back home or tow it to another dealer. So I asked how much was the tow to take it back home he said $85, then I asked how much was it to tow it to Toyota dealer ship which was closer than taking it back home. I was expecting the same price.. they knew I needed it because car didn't turn on and decided to charge me 225 to the closer destination + 85 for getting it to the first location. I wanted him to drop my car where it was and the guy couldn't even take the car off his tow truck.. I had to call another tow company and he came and took it off other guys truck like a professional. So disappoint and wish I wouldve never chose this service to start with..
Fast and reliable service with great pricing! I was about to hit the road and head back to NYC on a Sunday evening when my car suddenly began making a loud chugging noise and the battery light came on. I immediately pulled over and into a gas station for fear it would break down. I ended up having to leave my car there overnight as a tow truck would be too expensive to get back to NYC and there were no auto shops open. The next day, I returned and reached out to Velez Towing for service. The dispatch advised me it would take about 45 minutes but someone showed up in 15! Nico (I believe that was his name) took care with my car and got me over to a Mavis auto shop about 3 miles away with no issues. Pricing was also very reasonable and a great value compared with other towing companies in the area that were taking advantage of my situation. Overall a great experience and I thank the staff at Velez Towing for assisting me. I highly recommend their services and if I were in the area again and needed help, I'd definitely return.
Wonderful experience today getting my father's car towed. Called the owner, had someone come out right away. Fair price. Drove my dad and his wife to garage of his choice and called me to let me know that everything went well. Highly recommend this company and thank you so much for a great experience.
Shady shop run by cheaters, never go to this shop. Went to balance and mount 4 tires, they give one price before doing the Job and demanded almost 40 dollars more after finishing the job. When i tried to clarify this with the guy who gave me the price (maybe the owner of the shady shop) said he didn't even talk to me. Never go this shop bunch of crooks and cheaters.
Velez Towing was professional and just amazing! We had an issue the night before in getting stuck on the highway the process was brutual ended up being towed at the late hours of the night. Long story short we needed to get our car back for a tire repair. Velez Trucking was fair & affordable but really cared! Took the time to listen and resolve the matter quickly and efficiently! We will definite use him again and tell all our coworkers, family & friends! He promised to be there in 1 hour and was there 10 - 15 minutes before time!!! Thank you again!! First and last time we will ever call them. We needed help tow a car, the person who answered sounded half asleep. Told us to wait and never showed up. We call both numbers online and never responded. We had to call someone else

Velez towing was quick and fast responding, from Newark to Elizabeth where the car was going was about 10 miles , the price was very reasonable, I had at least 6 quote's and his was the cheapest. I will definitely be recommending him around. My car got to it's destination fast and safe, give him a call if you every need a flatbed toll truck, he's your man for the job. % reliable.
They may not LOOK like the friendliest people, but they are! Very helpful, very good at their work. Always willing to give that helping hand. Been there for tires and for mechanical services as well. Glad I found them. Will continue to go there when needed. Thanks again guys :)
I was going around the corner from where I was stranded and he was charging me 60$. When I first spoke to him he said 50$ for somewhere further I initially wanted to go, I changed the route to somewhere closer ( a mechanic shop). He told me to call him back and so I did and then he lied and said he never spoke to me that the price was now 60$. He’s a liar, he’s very rude, he makes up his own damn prices. I called another towing company they charged me 25$ to go around the corner 0.6 miles to be exact! He refused me service, he hung up the phone on me. Stay away from scam artist like him!!!!
Super quick service for a low price. I've bought used tires , gotten my brakes changed , oil changed and tires rotated here on multiple different occasions so I know it's good stuff. Would recommend for a quick tune up for the low low $$$.
I been seraching for my tire size which they are a very difficult size to find so i was told to try this place...I was so happy to find out that they carry them and at a nice price.They are very fast and don't have you sitting around to long. For now on this is my new tire shop... Keep up the good work guys. Your the best.
Velez Tire/Towing great services. I needed two new Tires and Balance. However, the mechanic offered me that he will balance all 4 for the price of two Tires. Also, the mechanic said "if your car continues to shake at a certain speed, you can bring it back and we will take care of it" Guess what my vehicle drives great I didn't need to take it back. I will continue to have Velez service my vehicle.Thank you Velez Tire/Towing.
