Absolute worst junkyard experience I've ever had.
Simple story - rebuilding a car at home, and needed a front bumper reinforcement. I call about availability, and ask them to get it ready for me, to which they say it's already picked and ready to go.
I get there, rush over from work to be there at 4:25pm, to make sure to adhere to their 4:30pm cut off time, at which point they turn away customers, just to be told that they have not picked the part, and it's sitting amongst 300+ bumper reinforcements, and that "hopefully the guy finds it before 5pm". I shit you not.
Poorly priced product, no people skills, and straight up rudeness and the general inconsiderate nature of these folks lend them a 1 star review.
If there's a review less than 1, that's what they deserve.
Not only are they rude, inhumane, they lack people skills. From hanging up calls on you to shutting their window while you are speaking to them through it.
They wouldn't mention 'no funds return policy' until you start making demands for it.
Here's my nightmare-
I bought a used transmission from them for $1200, after several days of back and forth, the transmission was broken and it was returned back same day. They promised to deliver another one in 2 days, it took 5 days of another back and forth. Finally, got the transmission and put it in the car but it was defective. took the car to them so they can see how it works, I was asked to take it to the ONLY MECHANIC THEY TRUST- JC mechanic @ East orange who after scanning confirmed it was defective. Give me another transmission, they said they do not know my mechanic so they cannot release another transmission to me since it was still inside the car. I can't take it out without being sure when another transmission will be sent. He blatantly refused and said the only way he would give me another transmission is if i would use JC mechanic. I offered $500 extra to them in good faith, so they can send another one, when i fix that, I can return the one I had on but he didn't bulge- he still maintained that I should use the JC Mechanic. Would you pay for it, i asked? He said he didn't care if i had spent money or not and went ahead to accuse me of using a tailor for a mechanic who used bad transmission fluid. How do you know its a bad transmission fluid? the transmission you sold to me, how sure are you the previous owner used your 'version of good" transmission fluid? Well, he hung up on me while speaking and there goes my $1,200. The fact that I didn't read these reviews before engaging with them is painful.

WHILE YOU WERE SCREAMING AT ME, U ASKED ME THE NAME OF THE MECHANIC SHOP HE WORKS WITH , I GOT RATTLED AND TOLD YOU SEVERALLY TO CALM DOWN, THAT I CANNOT REMEMBER ANYTHING BUT I HAVE THE ADDRESS BECAUSE YOU WERE SCREAMING AT ME. I WENT FURTHER TO ASK IF HE COULD CALL YOU. YOU BLATANTLY SAID NO AND YOU HUNG UP THE PHONE TWICE. PS:My mechanic is DIGGI AUTO MECHANIC, 40 BALL STR, IRVINGTON, NJ 07111. I’ve been a loyal customer of Bloomfield Auto Wreckers for quite some time and have always appreciated their reliability and timely service when it comes to used parts. Recently, however, I had a situation that really tested that trust.
I ordered a used transmission from them for a customer's vehicle. As usual, the part arrived on time and everything seemed great. Unfortunately, once we installed it, it turned out the transmission was faulty. We did our due diligence, thoroughly diagnosing the vehicle to confirm there were no other issues. It was clear the problem was the transmission itself.
When I contacted Bloomfield to explain the situation, I was pretty disappointed by their response. They initially didn’t seem to want to acknowledge the fault and suggested the issue must be something else. After some back and forth, they did eventually send a replacement transmission, but by that time, I had already sourced another one from elsewhere to get my customer back on the road.
In the end, I asked if Bloomfield could at least credit me for the unused transmission since I no longer needed it. They refused, saying it was a cost they couldn’t absorb. That was a letdown for me, given the long relationship we’ve had.
I hope in the future they might reconsider how they handle these rare issues, as I’d love to continue working with them. But for now, I just wanted to share my honest experience.
They were super nice and ordered me a part that arrived within a couple days. Parking is difficult near that area, but otherwise I would recommend them to anyone based on my experience.
Purchased a vehicle from a dealer and they needed a part for the car before I could leave with it took them a week to deliver the part this place is horrible they don’t prioritize paying customers
Terrible place , owner feels so empowered and treats paying customers as garbage.
Abusive behavior, nasty people skills
Just go there to find out.
I understand junk yards don’t have any good customer service , they just selling parts
But here is different, maybe some other factors like my accent or my looks perhaps.
Any way, just keep in mind this the last place you need to bring your business

They go above and beyond to ensure your call is never answered or they hang up as soon as humanly possible (they’re trying to set a world record). They never have the pieces you’re looking for but just for fun they tell you they do, giving waste of time and money a whole new meaning! The place where mild hopes go to die & pockets to drain with no return, you’re better off gambling at this point. Please give yourself a break and continue your search for whatever it is you’re looking for, I promise you this place doesn’t have it. If you’re ever having a good day and you just think to yourself life is too good today, I can recommend calling this shop they’ll reassure you to the bone that they have what you need only to find out when you get there it’s completely wrong or non existent, they’ll sell you on the idea of a warranty but god forbid you lose the receipt because they don’t keep a copy on record like a normal company should guess the jokes on me, I went with a mission for a new used transmission and ended with confusion for my how I lost 1,700$. I called ahead and was told they had the exact parts I needed a headlight assembly for my acura.. When I showed up, they claimed they never had the part after reassuring me several times they did and sold me the wrong headlights.
discussed with them the purchase of body parts, came and asked about the condition. They refused to show the parts, at first they wanted to get everything in cash, all the money, they did not warn in advance that they work only for cash. I did not risk buying anything from them, I do not recommend this warehouse. It is much easier to lose $ 600 than to dispute anything later.
Worst place ever, dnt know how they still in business, was going to drive from CT for a part there. Called to ask for info. The guy kept hanging up on me like i was bothering him. based on the reviews on here deff not alone.
They are rude and said they aren’t located in Bloomfield and don’t accept cars. I asked a few more questions and he basically said the company don’t exist anymore. It was weird
Went there today to get 2 rims for a chevy astro. I asked the guy if they are rusted? He said yeah. So i said “ok ill take a look” he goes back in to print a picture… smh. I meant to see them physically.. and If they are good, I will pay for them. He must not want to sell or he is new in the business. When you go to a junkyard and ask to see a rim, you show it. Then you pay.
Hands down the worst junkyard on the east coast. Clown at the desk told me i have to pay $150 for a steering column and i'm not able to even see it until AFTER paying him $150... "cash only" what a joke, steer clear of this dump
I paid $1800 to have a used transmission installed in a 2017 Infiniti QX50. Felito & Brothers said they got the transmission from Bloomfield Auto Wreckers so I'm not sure how much of the $1800 was for labor and how much was for the transmission. Exactly 3 weeks after the 90 day warranty expired the transmission went bad. Then not having learned my lesson I purchased a $50 windshield washer fluid reservoir from Bloomfield Auto Wreckers for my daughter's car and it never worked. If I had read the reviews I would never have bought anything from Bloomfield Auto Wreckers. They are rude and their parts are no good.
Bad Idea, Stay Away!!!!!!
I had a terrible experience with Bloomfield Auto Wreckers. I purchased an engine from them for $800, only to find out it was missing critical components. My mechanic refused to install it because it was incomplete. When I returned to get a refund, they hit me with a $250 fee, claiming it was a “restocking fee.” At no point did they mention that the engine was being sold in pieces or incomplete. This feels like a scam—selling defective parts and profiting off returns. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere reputable.
These criminals don’t charge a delivery fee unless you return the item. Got my partial refund and went to Union Auto wreckers and got a better quality engine for the same price with a 90 day warranty.
i purchased a few parts from this place in he past . It’s old parts but they do give a warrantee and it’s original so i felt comfortable making the purchase, knowing I’ll be reimbursed if the part didnt work. HOWEVER today i called and asked about a throttle body which they had. I purchased it but the guy made sure to tell me it’s sold “as is”. NO RETURNS. i should have read between the lines. I went against my better judgment and purchase the part.. When I got the part installed it didn’t work, not even for a second. I believe he intentionally sold me a bad part knowing it didn’t work and now i cannot return it. I’m out of 75 dollars. lesson learned. i’ll be patient next time and order my parts online. I’ll be very cautious next time
Horrible costumer service from rocky , he gives you one price thru phone and once you get there they try to raise the price!! And then saying no one with that name works there !! They try to play you !! Don’t waste your time if money there are many other shops willing to make business
TERRIBLE customer service. Do not waste your time and money. They are quick to take your money. Promise the product by the next day but take over a week to deliver the wrong product. All the sales men on the phone are rude speaking.

I recently called and visited Bloomfield Auto Wreckers and was thoroughly impressed! I ordered a part for my car, and not even was good quality they actualy got me the exact color, found exactly what I needed at a fraction of the price compared to other places. Rocco, was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. He was incredibly friendly and took the time to chat with me about any concerns, I might had it. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers. If you're looking for a great place to get any parts, I highly recommend checking it out with them.
I’ve been an auto shop owner for years and this is the worse salvage yard I’ve encountered. If I could leave zero stars I would. They’re so quick to take the money but make so many excuses to refund it.
Worst experience I've ever had. Extremely rude, unprofessional and try to haggle you by saying someone already bought the part so you have to decide on the spot. Also they charge 2x a new part. This place should not be in business
Called over the phone for a part. Stated I’m coming in to pick it up. Drove 40 minutes for him to say okay be ready tomorrow. Never did you mention that over the phone. I told him make a deal and take $20 bucks off for the gas and toll i gotta pay to come here AGAIN. He said no. Okay no problem now you get a bad review. Learn to have customer service skills. Just some thugs operating a junk yard.
Very terrible customer service and the Spanish guy was very RUDE! Came on Wednesday morning and they said they had the parts ready for me by Thursday, when I come back Thursday they said they only had one, and that the other one would be Ready in half hr. I waited around for the half hr they said then the Spanish guy came out saying that by 5pm it would be Ready. Seriously if you have customers try to keep them don't make loose then!! Don't go there without reading reviews! Our biggest mistake ever!
