We have been importing from Japan since 1997. The importing process consists of locating low mileage (45-60k mile) engines and transmissions, front end conversions, and other rare parts. Our location in Japan then loads large shipping containers and sends them across the ocean. Once a container has arrived at its destination port, it is then transported to our facility where we sort, catalog, and photograph parts for our customers. We ship within the continental United States and also offer local pickup at our Belleville, NJ facility.

I Bought a 2013 toyota prius engine cost $1000 and only last 1hr overheating, coolant in the pistons. I call and they want me to get the car to a ASE certificate to diag the engine ($290)and send copy and then pay for shipping ($300)to send the engine back and pay shipping ($300) again to send the another engine back total of $890 they scam people really good because the engine dont look like have 45 to 65 miles the engine look more like over 100000 miles before you buy read refund and read reviews really good
—10 sold me bad transmission I email call and also fb message and no reply to resolve issue!! Won’t recommend them or trust them !! Remind you I call and drove from Pennsylvania 1 1/2 for it when get there it’s not even a clean or rap transmission I should have knew better !!
Perfect fit for my 07 civic coupe. 2 weeks actwr fitting used JDM engine and car runs good as new. There is a very hidden ground lug hidden behind an electrical harness, but once we found that problem, the car ran great.
Customer service was excellent. The engine came in early that expected only I said I had was that the oil dipstick channel was bent/ broke and the dipstick was stuck but I just replaced it with the one on my old engine. The engine runs great after install!!!

Absolutely terrible customer service. Their website had me order the wrong engine, we had the other engine out when we discovered it would not fit. The person on the phone would not do anything to help me with their websites mistake. Then told me it was double the price I paid to get the right one in. Would not even help me with shipping. Likely a scam to get me to line their pockets. BEWARE! 1/10 recommend.
Probably the worst decision I have made in the 32 years of doing repair work to decide to use this business. They originally shipped me the wrong engine, then charged me to ship the old one back and then reship the correct one. And now the engine we installed is knocking from the front cover. They then asked if I have changed the timing chain before installing the engine they supplied. Are you serious? I bought a complete engine to repair a customers car. Why would I need to rebuild an engine that has 48k miles. Which I highly doubt that's correct. Warranty DENIED on a 5 minute phone call. USELESS
I bought an engine (came as advertised and the pictures were on point that the company sent) and the whole process was easy and smooth. Unfortunately I will not be able to test the engine until after the warranty ends but will post any updates.
The guys at JDM engine depot were amazing with their expertise and help with finding and delivering a replacement motor in such short notice. Thank you so much team for helping me out in such short notice!

So glad i went with the positive comments than the negative ones, ordered online arrived at family shop earlier than expected and was happy with the result clean engine and rides so smooth I will definitely be shopping from here again.
Great service, loaded me up and did not have me waiting. I will update on JDM trans when installed. It looked clean and fully intact. No cracks or rust.
Got a 5 speed auto transmission for my 2008 Acura rl. Just finished install today and so far I’m happy shifts good other then the relearn on the computer but after a few miles I’ll be able to tell better. Test drive and a drive to the store went great. Glad to have my car back. Thank you JDM depot for the good priced transmission !!!

Let’s be clear—ALL external components, gaskets, the timing belt, and water pump were replaced before the engine was installed, just like your warranty required. So the attempt to shift blame onto me isn’t just misleading—it’s insulting.
Less than a year later, this engine is leaking from multiple points and needs over $1,000 in repairs. That’s completely unacceptable, used or not. A product that starts falling apart within months isn’t just “used,” it’s defective.
Your response shows zero accountability and conveniently ignores the fact that the issues I’m now facing are internal engine problems—problems that reflect the poor quality of what you sold me. Trying to dodge responsibility by cherry-picking warranty terms isn’t a good look.
I regret buying from you, and I’ll be warning others not to make the same mistake. If this isn’t resolved, I’ll be filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
It’s been LESS than a year and parts of the engine are already failing. The engine, transmission and power steering fluid are leaking. I went to get it inspected and the PCV valve, VTEC solenoid, & valve cover gasket all need to be replaced costing me another $1,000+ dollars! I had my suspicions that it was leaking because of the puddle in my drive way 3 months after purchase. I don’t drive this car often, so my suspicions weren’t confirmed until I got a recent oil change & they told me of all the leaking happening. Never buying from here again, don’t make the same mistake I did.

Be careful buying from them, bring a borescope and inspect the best you can. The engine I purchased was junk. 45-65k miles is a joke lol I feel that they should have refunded me a portion of my money atleast considering the condition of this engine. Lesson learned but I wouldnt recommend them, spend your money somewhere else.
Not an honest buisness when it comes to the engines they sell. They have no problems selling you junk engines because it will cost you 600 plus dollars to ship it back which you have to pay for on top of what you payed originally. They STOLE $1000 dollars from me and many others. READ ALL REVIEWS BEFORE YOU BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS CROOK. Total scam artists they show pictures of a nice engine that you are purchasing then ship you trash. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER. In the items description they state in bold print you are buying the item that is pictured. Buyers beware........... Clearly not the same engine. E BAY does not help they are pulling all the negative reviews from this retaler. Notice the engine mount on the front of the engine The pictures from their item page has no bolts in it and the pictures of the one they sent me has bolts that were cut with a torch or plasma cutter. Also the one they sent had damage to the alternator mounting hole. I tried to message them and they played dumb.Pictures posted along with there reply..

Hi there. What seems to be the issue? I do see the bolt for the alternator is bent. This should not impair the internals of the engine though. Can you please let me know what the issue is? Thank you in advance and look forward to your reply.

The engine you sent is not usable. The picture is of where the alternator mounts this engine should have never been shipped or disclosed as major damage.
The bottom line is you showed pictures of the actual item being shipped then did not ship the item you sold me. The offer you made was for me to pay return shipping on the engine you sent me that was not the one I purchased. Return shipping on an engine is $600.00 is the cheapest quote I got, Or a partial reimbursement on the trash you sent. E Bay and pay pal both found in my favor requiring me to pay for return shipping . That does not seem fair that I have to pay to ship back the engine you sent and hoped I would not notice it was not the one you sold to me. Quit doing shady buisness JDM.. No morals at this company they will send you a paper weight/engine that is trash and charge you to ship it back. So you have no choice but to keep it. THEY STOLE $1000 dollars from me and countless others. Read all the reveiws. UPDATE...................
I got the bolt hole tig welded drilled and tapped at a cost of $250.00. Installed the engine just to find out it misfires on every cylinder. The engine they sold me has burned valves. Total crook. They sent me a junk engine knowing it was junk.No contact from JDM since I found out that the valves were burned on the paper weight they sold me. That engine is now at rest in the recycler waiting to be crushed. Thanks for the life lesson JDM......Total crooks
This is the first engine that I brought from them that wasn’t any good but they exchanged for another. Hope this one works but over all I need had any other issues with JDM engine depot. I still will buy from them

I have bought two Vq35hr motors from them. One March 3rd 2023 and October 9th 2023. Both motors for my 350z hrs. Both motors had 190+ compression, super clean and both still work to this day no issues. They are awesome and pretty chill. Super easy to buy from them. I was recommended by other z people who have bought from them in the past with no issues. I cannot comment on the other motors for different cars but the motors I have gotten have been amazing !

On 8/7/23 My Son and I purchased a Subaru Outback motor from JDM Engine depot in Bellville NJ for $899 plus $400 shipping, $1299. We received the motor and proceeded to inspect the motor and drain the oil to put fresh oil in, We had the motor on the engine stand and when the oil was drained we turned the motor over to inspect the bottom when we heard all this metal hitting the pan. We took the pan off and you can see in the photos the amount of metal in the engine. I understand that JDM buys the motors also to resell and the problem didn't start with them, it was them receiving a faulty motor also. After a few arguments with the management to no prevail. The owner Will stepped in and took care of everything including shipping for a full refund. He was great to talk to and work things out with. At least there are a few good people still out there. Thank you Will!
First of all thank God I called the shipment company today before expected delivery. The engine was being shipped to the wrong place. I had to rent a uhaul and drive 30 minutes to meet the driver and then was able to get the engine. Then, I get to the engine and it is just thrown all carelessly on the pallet.
