Allen, the owner was incredibly thoughtful and kind. He made an extra effort to give my tender 14 year old Toyota a little face-lift making my ride brighter! The mechanic Dan was cordial and professional. I would highly recommend them for anyone looking for honest hard working local mechanics!
They were great! I found I had a screw in my car's tire, and they fixed the tire for me right then and there. They were friendly and answered all of my questions too.
New to Cape May, first time here.Had a verrry slow leak in my tire. In and out 15 minutes. Had to replace valve stem.They told me no charge.Nice courtesy's guys. From now on, this is my go to for car repair!
Great guys, had a tube fall out the car and was shook a bit and they told me exactly what the tube was and how necessary it was to have. It turns out it was just for some emission stuff, and the car was safe to drive home. Didn’t charge for diagnostic. Thanks.
We were on vacation and needed a quick repair. These guys were great and took great care of my car. This is the only garage I would go to while vacationing in Cape May.
Closest place to me when I realized my tire had lost too much air to drive much further. Grateful for the courteous and quick fix, ( kept my souvenir screw pulled out of tire). Didn’t get the gentlemans name, but thank you, I much appreciated you helping me out. Cheers.

I was in town for work— I live an hour away— and my fuel tank strap was dragging under my car. I called Allen rather early in the morning and he was able to get me in and make a quick fix so I could get back on the road. His work was efficient & affordable. Much appreciated, especially as a young woman who’s knowledge on my vehicle is limited. LOL. Thank you, Allen! Highly recommend.
Saved our vacation!!!. Amazing service, friendly and helpful. Grinding noise coming from backend of truck. Called Country Garage Monday morning and was able to get an appointment for the next day. Dropped truck off. The mechanic quickly diagnosed the problem and called me with details and a price within an hour.. He listened carefully to my concerns and answered all my questions throughly. Work was completed and had car back by lunch time..Pricing was in-line with what I pay up north. I definitely recommend this shop and. would give them all my business if I lived closer.
My wife and I were visiting Cape May and were going to be heading home when we realized we had a screw in our tire. We searched the internet for garages nearby and chose the Country Garage based on reviews. We could not have been happier at our good fortune. When we pulled in, I got out and ask one of the men working there, explained our problem and asked if they could help us. Not only did he cheerfully welcome us but he told me to pull the car over and he did the repair immediately. We certainly did not expect him to do this right away but we were so glad that he did. It allowed us to spend more time visiting Cape May instead of waiting for the repair. Based on our experience and the other reviews if we lived in the area we would definitely be regular customers!
We were on day one of our vacation and when we made a right turn we heard a grinding noise that we knew meant there was a problem! A part of the wheel well was hitting our front tire – I learned when I brought the car in to Country Garage. Dave took care of the problem immediately and gave me back confidence in the condition of my car. When I called later in the day to inquire about a replacement for the wheel well, his honesty about it not being necessary to undergo that replacement or the associated expense for our 10 year- old car was such a refreshing change and so welcomed. I highly recommend Country Garage to anyone in need of having their car serviced.
My son and his girlfriend drove to Cape May from PA and their car kept stalling. I was a panicked mother and felt helpless. I called them and they saw him right away and fixed the issue the same day. Then an hour later the problem returned. I was told to come back the next day but nobody was there. My son was stranded and I paid $280 for nothing. Very upset!!! So unprofessional and I was ripped off!!!!
desperately needed new brakes right after we got into town (6hr trip) and normally that can be a very daunting a scary task so far from home. they were able to get me in right away and fix the brakes within a few hours! friendly, kind, quick, and reasonable...thank you!
Amazing experience. My car's passenger side wheel felt hot after driving but I wasn't too sure if it was a real issue. Brought it to the garage and Allen pulled it up on the jack and checked out -- no issues. Explained why there are no issues per him and what he would have seen if there were issues. Checked and filled air as needed in all tires, assured that we are good to go for a long journey without worry. Didn't charge a thing (we paid just bcoz we felt like it and were happy with service). If you are out of town and are concerned about getting sucked into unnecessary repairs, pl give this garage a chance. They are very honest.
Been using these guys for years for multiple vehicles. These guys are hands down the best mechanics in South Jersey. Can fix anything. Honest, good folks. Highly recommended!

I went to the Country Garage in the middle of my family vacation in Cape May in early August. The engine temperature needle of my car was in the red. Fortunately, ALAN was the man of the situation. This kindly mechanic welcomed me with a relaxed air, and reassured me quickly. While I took advantage of my afternoon, he quickly made the diagnosis and made sure to get the part to be replaced without delay. At the end of the day, he called me to say that everything was fixed. Indeed, knowing that each day of vacation really counts for the tourists, it allowed itself to work a little later to deliver me the car the same evening. A true spirit of service. Without abusing the cost of repair. Thanks again ALAN and continue your excellent work!
I'm out of state, car had issue with tire. Looked up reviews as I'm not a fan of taking my vehicle to just anyone. This places closed for lunch from 12-1. I waited until 1. The guy found the problem and fixed my brake caliper in 11 minutes flat. At 1:11 I was leaving the parking lot. Also checked my other tire just to be safe. Price was fair. For a back street garage, I'd highly recommend. Thank you!!
This place was a life saver. I had no brake pads left when I arrived from North Jersey. Brakes were squeaking. These guys were able to get it properly diagnosed and replaced within two hours. They are very honest and accommodating. And don't overcharge and cost you an arm and a leg. I would trust this place anytime with my vehicle.
Battery died but I dared a trip from NYC nonetheless. I called ahead and arranged a slot same day for a replacement and freon recharge. By end of day I had the car back at a very reasonable price and enjoyed the rest of the vacation. Seems they've been in business for over 50 years. A smooth operation.
