Been coming here for a year lately noticed the items I been bringing in ain’t adding up on my recipet and pay I bring 2 new radiators sealed there called it dirty aluminum,
All my #2 copper was considered dirty brass
& the good copper I had was considered yellow brass when I indeed had #1 copper. The guy even took my clean #1 copper and through it in my dirty brass bucket right in front me. This place is a joke had like 120 atleast in items got suckered for $47. Absolute joke never again don’t waist your time.
I scrap as a hobby, so i'm very aware of what the pounds are and what they pay out. Last 3 times I went, I was cheated out of several pounds of number one copper. A small trash can of theres doesn't weigh nine pounds. Then I was told to go to pennsauken yard next time. The previous time, half of my number one copper was put in as number 2 copper, shorted me $30 and handed me $10. Do not trust there tare weights. And some yard guys are ignorant, not like it used to be. Hopefully the other yard, where the owners at is better
THIS IS THE WORST SGT SCRAP EVER. THAT WOMAN BEHIND THE DESK AT THE GLOUCESTER LOCATION ISNT WORTH THE WORDS IN MY POST! SHE IS DISRESPECTFUL, SHE HAS NO ETIQUETTE, EVERY EMPLOYEE AT EVERY SGT SCRAP LOCATION CAN NOT STAND HER, I NEVVVVERRR MAKE REVIEWS, BUT HER HUSBAND AND THE WORLD NEEDS TO KNOW, PEOPLE LITERALLY DRIVE 30 MINUTES OUT OF THEIR WAY TO GO TO PENSAUKEN TO AVOID HER….. THAT SAYS EVERYTHING I WANT TO SAY IN A NUT SHELL. I HOPE SHE SEES THIS AND REALIZES THAT NOT ONLY DO PEOPLE REMEMBER HER, BUT SHE IS BLATANTLY STEALING, AMONG A LIST OF OTHER THINGS I WONT LET MY FINGERS WASTE TIME TYPING….. GET RID OF HER BRO. OR LOOSE THE LOCATION
Stay far away from this place. They will literally rob you by getting over on you. Only go if you have a small amount of scrap, and you know exactly what you have. GO TO ANY OTHER YARD, TRUST ME. I’ve been to various yards and thought I would come here since it was pretty close, but I regret it, I made a big mistake. Don’t make the same mistake I made. I’ve never made a review before but I had to for this place, hopefully it helps some people and saves them their money
I love going here! I've been scrapping for a long time and I have everything separated when I got there but fast service, guys are awesome and are the best PRICES around!!
During the week I love this yard. Best prices friendly staff. Have patience. Don't mind making sure to separate everything so u get the most value for your scrap. But on the weekends. Horrible. Specifically one spanish worker who doesn't speak English very well. He's dumped our copper and brass all together on multiple occasions when we've already separated them. And also has on multiple occasion weighed us 2 times for light iron instead of cast iron and light iron. When we had them in separate containers. And consistently ignores your questions or tells you he doesn't have time to interact with customers.
This place has the best prices around. It also has good ownership. The receptionist isn't the most pleasant person but other than that it's a good place worth taking your metal

Very knowledgeable very helpful. When I pulled in to the spot the worker swept it out so I didn't get anything stuck in my tires, very happy with the experience
Worst customer service. They moved my appointment without notifying me, then the OWNER called me and told me they’re in high demand and got several calls for service. Either I wasn’t as important as other customers or they were understaffed and couldn’t get to me (an explanation would’ve been nice). Regardless, the owner himself called me and told me to find another company. Horrible customer service.
Every time I go there to get some extra cash for my scrap someone helps me by explaining what I have. I do separate my metals but sometimes I’m confused on which aluminum I have and they help me out. I used to go to that place off 295 in West Deptford but they aren’t helpful at all. The people at Sergeant Scrap get you in and out of there are knowledgeable and don’t mind sharing their knowledge. I always leave a tip. Thanks
I've been to both location several times. Their prices are fair and honest. The workers will do the best they can to help you get the most for your money
Got quoted price at 9am before my pick up. When the driver got there at noon, the price was 15 cents less per pound. Since I was scheduled for a pickup the quoted price should have been honored. Got $300 less. Beware!

I live right next to sims scrap yard in deptford the last 3 times I went to sgt scrap because the pay out was better today they ripped me off shorted me $40 it use to be worth the drive up up there but from now on I’m keeping my business in deptford please get a pay out machine or a girl that can count then I’ll come back
Supposed to be open until 3pm. I waited in line for a half hour because they only have room in their lot for 3 trucks and when it came to me, they turned me away. It was only 11am. I also watched one of the employees get into an arguement with a customer. He was being extremely rude. They need to learn how to operate a business a little better.
Once again I want to thank the crew. I was running a bit late and it was already starting to rain so I did not expect the staff to be to thrilled of my timing. Yet once again they helped seperate the different wire types I had and gave me a good price for each type. And did it all in a friendly , respectful way. ALL ON A SUNDAY AFTERNOON NO LESS. Way to go crew!!
Rude and very unprofessional. Called several times to explain we needed a steel container removed, 20x8. Set up appointment, removed fence sections so they could drive into back yard... No show. We call them, both trucks broken down. Reschedule next morning, no show. We call again, they tell us they need special truck... We even sent pics so they knew what it was from the beginning.
All Employees are extremely helpful and friendly. I recommend to all to come use this facility. I have been coming here for 2 years and am always satisfied with each experience!
Fantastic customer service. Sgt. Scrap is the only scrapyard i can send my pregnant girlfriend there (i loaded everything) and the workers helped her with the final sort and unloading. Sgt Scrap is the only place i would trust to do that.
I go to the one in Gloucester. My only issue is trying to get my trailer backed into 130. Never had a problem there with the workers or thinking I was being shortchanged. My go to yard.
Everyone is helpful everytime I go to Sgt. Scrap in Gloucester and Pennsauken. The staff took the time and showed me a few things about different metals and the girl (s) at the register are awesome everytime I go. They give you good and prices for your scrap and I feel more comfortable going there, than any other place I've been to!
Best prices of all scrap yards! All the employees are very knowledgeable and every time I come I leave with more money then I expected. Weights are right on point I pre weigh my stuff prior to coming it's always right on!
I absolutely love this scrap yard! They are always on the ball, so once you pull in, they bring you however many containers you require for emptying/sorting your scrap metal. The employees are extremely helpful from helping you off-load large, heavy items to providing you with advice/knowledge of the types of metals, as well as, how to get the most money out of your scrap items. I also think that personally they have very fair pricing and always are looking to get you the most money for your scrap. Lastly, I love the fact that this scrap yard is open till 7pm every weekday, that they are open till 3pm on Saturday's and the BEST of all is that they are open on Sunday's, as well until 3pm. Having such flexible hours is one of the greatest aspects of this scrap yard! I can guarantee that you will not be disappointed by bringing your scrap here!
