I work for an out of state dealership. I chose South Jersey Auto Tags to complete title and registration for a NJ lease customer. Had high hopes as I have been searching for a titling company to use for our 30+ dealership group. I was quoted two weeks processing time. After having our documents and money for over a month and many voicemails later, our customer reached out to them. They told our customer (employees relative) their titling was delayed because one of their employees had a major issue with me (title clerk). We have only ever talked when I would ask for an update. She, nor I were ever rude to each other in any conversation we've had. The last time I tried to call them the same woman answers screaming "Answering Service" very unbelievable. Told me they closed due to an "emergency". The unprofessionalism is real with this company or at least this employee. There is too much competition out there to be so petty and rude to customers. Take your business elsewhere.
This will be the only place I go for all auto services, I had an intricate issue with titles and registrations, and they were able to help me 100%, even found me another tag dealer in Philly for my issue as well, these people care and are fast at finding solutions!
If I could give zero stars, I would. I wired Jersey Auto Tags the full payment for vehicle tax, their service fee, and the expedited service add-on on September 21st. After waiting for about a month, I reached out in October to inquire about the title and was told I would receive it within a week. When I followed up again in November, they claimed there were delays at the DMV, which I initially understood, as DMV processes can sometimes be slow.
However, at the beginning of December, I contacted them again to ask about my plates. Both Carrie and Sam became defensive, insisting the delays were not their fault. I decided to contact the NY State DMV directly to check on the title's status. To my surprise, the DMV informed me that the title was not even in their system. They also mentioned that if registration at least isn’t processed within two weeks of submission, something is likely wrong.
Now it’s December 12th—nearly three months since I paid them $5,000 in full—and I have yet to receive any resolution. Worse, they have been avoiding my calls and emails. Based on my experience, I suspect some of the positive reviews on this page may be fake or outdated.
While I previously had no issues with Jersey Auto Tags, this recent experience has been extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I strongly recommend using a different service. Avoid this company. Also if Carrie or Sam are seeing this, call me back that would be awesome thanks.
UPDATE:
CARRIE still has MY $4k gave me back my title in the mail and will not answer any of my calls! I have been cheated and lied too multiple times. This business should be shut down. Carrie Please call me, i just need a response

Carrie and Sam have now decided to block me on all platforms and not send me a check in the mail. Very convenient for them to not answer any of my calls or emails or text and keep my money.
UPDATE:
I had to call carrie 20 times today to speak to her once. She said again she will send me a check, the last round she sent me a bad tracking number. Lets see what she comes up with next.
I'm a first time car owner who just moved to NJ a few weeks ago and can't stress how thankful I am to have used South Jersey Auto Tags to help me with my title and registration. They were friendly, personal, professional, and clearly know their stuff the entire time and made my feel comfortable with using them from the minute I walked into the room. I was in and out in no time, which was a huge relief for me too. If you're looking for a hassle-free way to take care of your stuff I recommend using them, if I find myself needing to go through this again, or know someone in the same spot I know exactly who they should talk to.
Is this a scam ? sure feels like it. I paid extra for expedited plates and they were very quick to take my money but its been a month and not even an update. The only time i am able to get someone on the line is when i call from another number only to receive another empty promise.
This is an amazing service that I was never aware of. I was purchasing a car that had a PA title and wanted to be sure that I did everything properly. I called and Sam answered, she took the time to answer my questions, was polite, knowledgeable and accommodating. The buyer couldn’t be ready until 4 at which time she closed but she remained open to accommodate us. She supervised the transaction and handled the paperwork. This is a no brainer and the price was a steal for the peace of mind that I left with. Thanks again for your help.
Dealers, we all know how much of a pain it is to register cars in Jersey. These girls make it easy as can be. 10/10 will only use them for all my jersey transactions!

Just used SJAT for the title transfer of a trailer home parked in a route 9 campground. Last week I wasted a trip to the DMV outside of Cape May, they said they couldn't transfer because the sellers names on the title didn't have middle names that appeared on their driver's license. Carrie at SJAT got it done in one day and was much more knowledgeable than the people at the DMV, plus saved me a ton of money. Can't thank her enough
I'm reporting this company to the better business bureau, Be leary about them They do not returning emails , changing the fees Almost five months waiting, I didn't have the common courtesy to return all my money Because they weren't able to do the job in 5 months time , Misleading emails The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing !!!
We hired SJAT to complete six title transfers, and unfortunately, the experience has been highly unsatisfactory. Despite cashing our checks totaling over $16K, they failed to perform as advertised since the beginning of March. We even had to hire an attorney to get them moving on the process. Numerous mistakes were made, which we had to catch ourselves. Additionally, we are still waiting for a refund of $3300 that rightfully belongs to us.
Repeated calls with Carri, the owner, led to misleading information and false assurances about the progress of the title transfers. Their lack of communication is frustrating; they rarely answer the phone unless persistently called and do not respond to emails with the promised updates.
Based on this experience, I would not recommend SJAT for bulk work. Their services have been highly unprofessional, and they certainly did not meet any of our expectations.
I'm from Florida and turned to these guys for help! But it was not their territoriality, but they did everything possible for me and helped me a lot and it was all through direct Instagram, quickly and professionally!!! Many thanks to the whole team!!!
If I could give them More Stars I absolutely would. I worked a lot with a woman in the office named Sam and she is absolutely amazing. She is so kind and personable! But it’s not just her it’s everyone in the office. I’ve never really understood what it meant by “a company treating you like family.” But here they definitely do and I’ve felt that! They make sure to answer all your question, comments and concerns not only that but south jersey auto tags works lighting fast. What would’ve taken me 2 months for my car to get registered and shipping plates, this company only took two weeks tops! What held them up was my bank honestly ?! I don’t write reviews often but I definitely had to for this company. DONT GO ANYWHERE ELSE FOR YOUR CAR BECAUSE SOUTH JERSEY AUTO IS THE REAL DEAL AND WILL GET THE JOB DONE!!!
If you want totally professional help you need to go here! Sam was nice, helpful, knowledgeable and very understanding. In this day and age that is hard to find! I had a really difficult situation with the truck that I bought from New Jersey and I am in Pennsylvania. She spent a lot of time trying to help me. I can't say enough good things about South Jersey Auto tags!

The worst experience I have ever had with a simple DMV registration and plates. I financed my vehicle which was a necessity for my transport business, from an out of state company who had my documents processed by this inept company. Upon receipt of the Title, it took these people over 18 days to get my registration and plates to me.
I was unable to use this mandatory vehicle to conduct my work as the temporary registration and plate had expired and a new temp could not be issued. DMVyold me could not put an unregistered vehicle without plates on a public roadway. I contacted the finance company daily for over 6 weeks to get my paperwork done as I could not operate my business.
I told The finance company To send me the paperwork and I would go to Motor Vehicles personally and pick up the plate registration and have the title sent directly to them as I have done in the past with other vehicles. However, they refused and Charged me an additional administrative fee to use this nightmarish company
My own personal experience with DMV for over 40 years I know now you can make an appointment within as little as one day go into the motor vehicle office fill out the application, give the documents sit for about an hour, and you will walk out with your registration title and plates that same day.
In addition, I know that dealerships and companies that Specifically deal with DMV on a daily basis, having an express line where there is no waiting.
After 14 days upon receipt of the documents, I contacted the finance company as to what the delay was. They told me the sent my paperwork to Soutg Jersey Auto Tags, and both called and emailed them as to what the status was.
I constantly was told that they did not have any updates or no the status of my registration and plate. Consequently, after the 14th day, with no status answer, I contacted South Jersey Auto Tags and spoke to the most rude, obnoxious, Unprofessional woman I have ever dealt with.
I told her that they received paperwork for my vehicle from the finance company, and she abruptly told me “we only deal with them, and don’t call here again and slammed the phone on me. Angry and appalled that accompany who is receiving a fee for their services, which are not being provided with act in such an unprofessional manner, I called directly to the department of motor vehicles and spoke to the Title & Registration department.
I told the DMV representative in the Title & Registration department my vehicle Vin number and to my shock, I was told me that DMV has no record of my vehicle and nothing had been processed.
South Jersey Auto and TAG had my documents for over 14 days yet never submitted them to DMV to be processed. I I called the following day and was told my paperwork was received, and my registration, Title, and plates were processed that same day.
I called the finance company and told them The information DMV gave me and to contact South Jersey Auto tag to send out my plates and registration immediately. The finance company told me they had Sent South Jersey Auto and TAG a FedEx label to be used to expedite the shipment of my registration and plates quickly.
However, once again, South Jersey Auto and TAG showed how irresponsible they are, and it took four days before I finally received my registration and plate.
Not only is this company inept, irresponsible,, Incompetent and unprofessional, but they have no regard that their actions caused Financial hardship to individuals who rely on getting documents quickly to run their business for their livelihood, Stay away from them. They take your money, then take their time to process something at their leisure without any regard to the financial hardship. Their client is facing due to their negligence, and irresponsibility.
South Jersey Auto Tags provided a great service. They saved me from having to deal with the DMV. They handled everything from A to Z. They were very responsive to all my questions. Also, Samantha was extremely nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend them to all my friends

Carrie was a breeze to deal with. We bought a boat from Delaware to be tagged in Jersey so we weren’t sure what had to be done since all Delaware has is the registration card and no titles for boats. She walked me through what all was needed to be ready when we got there. She made sure everything was right, and said I’ll call you when you’re paper work was ready. Her fee is worth it because it saves you time and aggravation at the DMV. Would definitely recommend South Jersey Auto Tags to anyone.

I was in a frenzy wondering how to get my Jersey tags for a car I brought in Philadelphia. They made it easy, simple and was extremely professional. Glad I made the right decision, because if I would’ve done it myself it would’ve been a disaster! They were so down to earth and friendly! I would suggest anyone to go there if you don’t want to deal with the hassle of DMV.
I left a review but haven't used this place yet, I had a question about services offered and didn't want to bug them by calling (don't know how busy this company is) , am I able to purchase a vehicle and come in with title and basically leave with the vehicle fully legal (registration, transfer and then either temp or permanent nj tags?)

My Mom and Dad gifted me their car. It was a leased car that my mom ended paying off. I needed a title in my dad’s name, then a title in my name and I had to get my registration renewed and new tags.South Jersey Auto Tag saved me 4 trips to NJDMV…….Thank you to Carrieann and her sister.
