I was hesitant to go scrap here based off the prior reviews about the scale operator. However, TODAY they came in 18 cents higher than United Scrap for cast aluminum. I called ahead to get the days prices on what I wanted to scrap and presorted everything so when the scale guy came we only had to make minor adjustments. He picked out some things that he would have down graded me on so I took that back to clean another day. That is better than them downgrading everything and telling you after the fact. So by the time I got to the scale I knew what categories my scrap fell into. Again I did a bulk of the sorting ahead of time which makes things easier on everyone. The scale operator weighed all my items separately and not on a huge cart of an unknown weight. I'd prefer they post the days prices online or near the scale so I could make an informed decision to hold or sell. This way I won't regret when I get the final pay slip. I think that's fair even though a yard may have a low price you could choose to hold until the price is right for you. It's more cost affective for the yard to have you hold than them store it. Anyway the point is if the prices aren't online you gotta call the yard ahead and that's fine if the employee wants to be picking up the phone all the time. Used to be a good place, after today they can pound salt. Never friggen going there ever again. Take my business anywhere else. They guys that work there have absolutely no respect for anyone.
I use to like going here to recycle. But after today experience with one of the guys that work there. They could go kick rock now. Man need to to learn how to speak to people that are bringing him business. Just go to to United off of 21 same price.
Staff is nice here. Fair price for scrap , they document who is there via photo id which is good in the event that someone is scrapping stolen items. Just be careful pulling out of there driveway it can be dangerous lol.
I have been doing business with them for almost 3 years. The staff is always helpful, and I always get the best price around for copper. I won't go any where else. A+
Always a pleasure doing business with them. Highest price in the state. Check hours before you head over. They are open till 4:30pm weekdays not 5pm. Saturdat till noon.
