I've been going there for years. One of the nice things about them is that they take steel, copper, lead, and Electric wires. I've never had a bad experience there, never once. It's been a pleasure every time.
Great experience here at Curcio. I arrived late one morning just prior to lunchtime, parking was tight and they were super busy but, I was in and out in just few minutes. No problems at all, I'll be back again.
They're going here now. We're about 3 weeks with extension cords. Maybe doing good? I just left there with 35 pounds of extension cords like I always have, and this man tells me that it's steel. After I showed him it was copper. And only gave me $4. I throw my bucket in his face go elsewhere. I have.
Went yesterday to scrap some copper cord. The person working the scale area was helpful and a nice guy overall. He gave me a little guidance as to what I needed to do and since I have a shoulder injury, he helped me load the container. I was also happy with the payout. I would go back.
They have a minimum of 300 lb for steel stupidest thing ever should be no minimum got no money for my steel because it was under the limit Federal going to a different scrap yard if you have small stuff
Market prices are slight cheaper when I usually but if the other place is closed this is my go to guy they wont accept the metals of the wire though so be careful not to take the metals to this spot
If you drive semi and have pickup call ahead to get direction
Truck and trailer entrance one street down (Walther Ave), very tight to back up be carefully you can ask for help from forklift guy to back
Terrible service. Frank is an absolute crook! Be careful what you send there, i specifically asked him if there were two transactions on the same day made by my company and he lied telling me no. Come to find out he made a deal with my employee on the side. Please do not go to this establish. They are so dishonest, it’s disgusting!

Supposed to be a good company- clearly something has happened.
Called the business looking to purchase Copper for my companies use. I was told that they have brokers and hung up on and when I called back to explain I am not a broker they said they get a bunch of calls every day and that customers calling to purchase their product are annoying! Don't waste your time with this company-even if they had competitive prices the lack of service is not worth dealing with.
Our experience for YEARS has been excellent. Their rates are fair. They have always been courteous and accommodating. They are a great resource for referrals as well.
No issues with non ferrous metals, but I suggest bringing your steel elsewhere: They have a minimum steel weight, payout prices are low, and I believe dishonest on steel weight & payout (seemed to have shorted me 20+ lbs). Plus, steel guy is not the friendliest, as of 4/2015.
I hope they get coal in their stocking for xmas. What a rip off! No one even got off there lazy ass to see what kind of metal we had. 560 lbs got us 11 dollars. Anywhere else would have been minimum 50 dollars. F that place.
My roofing business is In Elmwood Park AAA-Superior Construction, Just around the corner from 416 Lanza. I get a lot of Scrap Gutters and have been using him for going on 6 years. I never had a problem with Their prices or Their people. So I was a little surprised by these other reviews.
