Went to this place several times was happy with the work, but the last time I took it there there was a sound coming from the right front asked j to look at it so I left the car all day I also asked them to check a light on the dash end of the day I go to check on the car it's still in the service shop, so Jay I believe his name is said he didn't get a chance to look at the light it would take him another hour and a half I said okay no problem went over to 7-Eleven came back 15 minutes later the car was sitting in the lot I went inside and said what's up he said I had to pull the car out I don't have time for this, would take him too long to figure out the problem said he would call me to bring the car back in never did

standard tune-up... maybe an hour of labor.
they charged $650 in labor & didn't even replace any filters.
it was over $1000 in total with no specialty work.

I got in my car to bring the kids to school and the tire pressure indicator showed three out of the four tires had low pressure. I assumed it was the cold weather because this mornings temperature is in the single digits. I didn't want to take a risk because I'm planning on a long drive this afternoon for the holidays. So I swung by Ideal Service Center to check on the tire pressure and make sure I don't have more to worry about. They were amazing. One guy immediately came out and checked my tires. Amazing service and nice guy! He reassured me it was the cold weather. Definitely would use their services again!
Show up at 4 pm to replace a tire workers/ owners were complaining that i got there too late i showed up at that time because thats when i blew a tire they were uninterested and rude
I got on my car and went to TJ’s down the street they helped me with a smile

Jason who helped me with my car was fantastic. He helped me understand my bill. The bill itself was quite reasonable. I would absolutely recommend going to this place, they are very fair price wise and the time it took to repair my car was quick. I had a couple car issues and I got it back later that same day! It's refreshing finding a good mechanic.
Jason and his crew are great! Friendly and personable. They have always accommodated my car the same day for emergency issues (flat tire and dead battery). Call ahead and talk to someone since they are always busy. I support local businesses and will DEFINITELY be supporting this one as long as I own a car.
Was there recently, as always all the guys were friendly and helpful. Vinny himself helped with my air-conditioning. Was prompt , his AC machine evacuated and refilled my system . Vinny himself , his tool sniffed for leaks all at a reasonable price . I'm a 7 year customer.
Came here multiple times with our work van, everyone was very helpful and worked fast. Today, I brought my personal vehicle in for a nail in my tire. The guys said they would help me in a few minutes and did just that. Wasnt anything more than a nail in the tread of the tire. Very honest and very helpful. I 100% recommend anyone to come here for any service for their vehicle
The guys at Ideal are the best. I can't thank them enough for helping me keep my ice cream truck in tip-top shape. Just had the rear shocks and brakes done and I feel like I'm driving a Cadillac! Thanks to all at Ideal.

They are always willing to stop what they are doing and listen to your problem when you walk into their establishment. They provide friendly courteous service at very reasonable prices and even go through the trouble of dropping me back at work when I leave my car there for service. They know what they are doing. They have been servicing our cars for over 10 years. When I was having electrical issues with my car, they were ready for the challenge, found the issue and made the repair. Honest and reliable.

Good mechanic shop is not easy to find especially one that is trustworthy but these guys know what they're doing and are honest.

Have been going here for over 15 years for minor and major repairs. Last year had struts done and they were installed incorrectly. Today my wife went to get a quote on tires and ran into a new guy there who was both condescending and arrogant. I live in town and will be making sure EVERYONE I know hears about the bad experiences. My service will be going elsewhere.
I have been to many auto service shops and this by far is the cleanest and most organized. These guys provide quality service and of course with that comes a hefty price tag. Estimates are on the higher end.

Both my wife and I have been bring our cars to their shop for 5+ years. We have always found them to be honest, efficient and reasonably-priced in providing high quality service.
If you live anywhere within a reasonable radius of their shop in River Edge, you should try them.
A family member of mine told me about Ideal (Vinny's) so I took my '94 Vette that was having some trouble and Ideal was able to diagnose the problem, make the necessary repairs, and kept me in the loop the entire time. Car came back running great.
On top of this, I even had some aftermarket parts that I had previously purchased and the staff at Ideal installed them for me. Now that may not seem like a big deal, but most garages will tell you to buzz off and make you buy parts from them. Not Ideal. They were happy to install for me and just charged labor. Great garage. 100% recommend!
Oh one more thing. I just ordered tires/wheels online and had them delivered directly to their shop for installation. Got a call as soon as the wheels came in and they're being installed tomorrow, no problems at all.
