My driver John was phenomenal. Very polite and friendly, hooked up my car and off we went to the auto repair shop. It was a very convenient experience.
While I never wanted to be stranded… flat tire and needing a tow, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Pulling into Kids Empire with my grandson and DiDi to play and enjoy himself, my alternator belt gave out. Sadness came over me, as I asked why now? I didn't want him to feel my sadness so we continued with the plan and have fun! As my wheels turned I felt the thought of driving was not safe. I contacted AAA, they immediately had Bergen Brookside Towing call me. I spoke with Andrew at dispatch whom made everything so easy, assuring me that he will have a driver ASAP and sure enough not even 10 minutes and there he was my angel NELSON the tow truck driver pulling in to save us!
NELSON you were on point, attentive, professional and wasted no time. Before I knew he had my vehicle on the flatbed and off we went. The drive about 40 minutes was exceptional! We talked, we laughed, we confided and most of all my grandson felt the positive vibes from us and yelled out Grandma I'm on GTA LIVE!!! LOL We all laughed and safely arrived to our destination. Blink of an eye NELSON had my vehicle off flat bed, refused my tip because he said we helped him during our chatty ride in many ways, so he wanted to help us back. Of course I refused and off he went onto the next tow.
So, to AAA, Bergen Tow, Andrew and Nelson....THANK YOU AND I AM GRATEFUL!
Nothing else mattered, but my grandson's SAFETY and WORRY FREE experience, so YOU ROCK!!!

Gotta really teach techs driving skills. Had 2 of them in flatbeds flying through Demarest. Lacking to obey traffic speed limits. Completely understand that they are probably responding to a traffic accident, but there's kids in the streets playing. Retrain drivers. I've had them flying through River St in Hackensack plenty of times in the past. Just because your awarded a police tow contract, doesn't provide you with the right to speed and illegally drive!

I just want to extend my gratitude towards Brookside Towing. I was involved in an accident a couple days ago and they were on the scene in minutes. Shawn was the one who towed my vehicle and was very kind & compassionate while I was still in shock. Your AAA service is top tier, speedy and always done with care. I have my keys locked in my car. I called AAA and they sent Brookside to come and help me however I was met with a rude obnoxious, nasty young gentleman African-American with dreadlocks in his haircutwho was sitting outside playing on his cell phone. Meanwhile, my car keys are locked in my car .. Instead of him doing his job, he began to discuss the way my face looks so mean, and in my tone of voice was not pleasing to him He was just there TODO HIS JOB!!! I can’t believe this is why I pay AAA for Then unbeknownst I speak with another very rude, nasty young lady by the name of Tamika at the office who has no customer service values to help the situation. This is the worst company ever please do not use them and watch out for these individuals.!!!! Luckily, I had a company come 10 minutes later and take care of all of my needs
I was dispatched to one of Bergen Brookside’s tow truck drivers, Marc, via AAA after my car’s rear right suspension lost a battle with a curb.
To say I had a positive experience with Marc would be a substantial understatement. He was incredibly kind and personable. As it turns out, he was about to head home for the day, but when he saw that I was in need of a tow, he went out of his way to help get my car home. I likely wouldn’t have been dispatched to another driver for hours otherwise.
Marc not only handled my car with professionalism and attention, but treated me with the same level of courtesy and care. His outgoing and friendly nature helped turn an unfortunate situation into the highlight of my week.
The world needs more good people like Marc. If anyone ever finds themselves in need of a tow or auto repairs, I can say with confidence that the folks at Bergen Brookside will go above and beyond to get the job done- whatever it may entail.

It’s absolutely scary to watch or drive around the trucks from this place. I’m not sure if it’s a standard or a marketing strategy, but they drive like there’s no one around going 20/25 over the speed limit. It’s not the first time that I get tailgated or watch them passing without bothering to turning the signal on. I decided to write this cause when looking for places to make small repairs, this one showed up and I’m never taking my car there. People is New Jersey drive like crazy but is that normal? Is a marketing strategy? Like “we get your car into a accident and we’re right here to tow you”? Absolutely not!
I was stranded for three hours on the side of the Garden State Parkway after my car ran out of gas. AAA was completely unreachable by phone, and their app was useless, it wouldn’t allow me to enter an exact location, which meant the original dispatch went to the wrong place. I called AAA at 2:14 PM and didn’t get back on the road until 5:45 PM.
Marc, a tow truck driver who wasn’t even assigned to me, noticed me on the side of the road, took it upon himself to call the state police to check what was going on, and then came back to help. Turns out the police had not been dispatched at all. If Marc hadn’t made that call, I honestly believe I’d still be sitting there.
He was the only person to stop and help me in that entire time, not because he had to, but because he cared. I wasn’t even his client. His compassion and initiative turned a miserable day into a reminder that there are still good people out there. Marc, you were a blessing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
We used Brookside at the recommendation of our insurance company. The work was done promptly and our car was return quickly. The shop also kept us updated throughout the repairs. All charges were clear and explained throughly. Our truck was returned with all the work done well and the truck cleaned.
I was towed by Chandler on Monday, June 23, 2025 and he was top notch. He went above and beyond what needed to be done with extra care. My vehicle was nit in an easy position or situation and where it need to be dropped off was a tight spot. Chandler did his job well with with care for my vehicle. An excellent experience from start to finish. Laurie & staff kept me informed every step of the repair, with the mechanics restoring the car to practically showroom status. An unbelievably positive experience, would definitely recommend to anyone with autobody damage.
Let me start off with I waited 2 hours 1/2 at first!!!
Worst experience ever with one their Aaa drivers. I told Aaa, I wasn’t going with the vehicle. I guess they didn’t read the comments. The guy gives me a big attitude. His name is Marc B. So, if you ever get him as a driver, you better be ready to go with the vehicle. I gave him my keys. Then he puts my keys on my front windshield, and why he still on the phone he keeps on telling me to leave him alone and stop following me If you don’t feel safe, taking it to a gas station in fort lee nj where’s plenty of room. You should not be working for AaaI could understand union city, north Bergen, Irvington Bronx quuens Brooklyn He shouldn’t be driving a Aaa truck. It’s just excuses, so he didn’t have to do the call in the rain. I don’t think he thought I was gonna tip him. I was on the phone with Aaa when all this was happening. They were asking me. Why won’t he tow it so was I following him trying to ask him, Marc was on the phone with somebody. Marc screaming at me stop following me loud in The middle of the street. I wish I had a snickers to give him. He was an older gentlemen, heavy set. I think his blood Sugar Level was dropping. I can’t see no other reason to give me such an attitude. All for not going with the vehicle. It’s not a people people’s person Shouldn’t be working In a field, where you have to deal with customers on Every day basis Loyal paying AAA members Shouldn’t have to deal with this.
P.s. Brookside towing thank you for wasting my day 2 1/2 hours. The second company who came out to service They’re more professional no questions asked did their job no problem. Altogether I wasted three hours.
Bergen Brookside went above and beyond to repair my vehicle,
a 2002 BMW 330ci, as you can see; it's a "classic" and has had it's share of dings, scrape and scratches; the main reason I took my car there was to replace the right molding....never could I have imagined or expected them to return my car looking like I just picked it up from the showroom; all of the aforementioned dings and scratches were smoothed out; my back bumper the area that had the most damage was buffed out
and detailed and looked almost new. They even cleaned and shampooed the inside of my car. My husband and I was also impressed with the staff, mainly Laurie, who was professional and pleasant and kept me informed of the repair progress. I'm sorry this is not a short review but I would be remiss if I didn't share why I am such a satisfied customer.

Tonight my car was stuck due to the snow and within 15 minutes Chandler arrived to my rescue! He was so helpful, I ended up not needing a tow which was great! We chatted for a bit and he was so friendly and polite, honestly you don’t get that often, lots of people are grumpy when they are on the job, but this kid was truly a pleasure and so personable and friendly and efficient. He seemed to genuinely like his job and helping people. Lucky to have a guy like him in your company.
The insurance offered me this location to get my repairs done for my car. I read the reviews and they seemed fair so I gave it a try. My expectations were exceeded! They did such an incredible job at fixing the dents and scratches from the accident! They cleaned the interior as well, making my car feel brand new again! They were so accommodating and helpful! The flatbed arrived very quickly to tow my disabled sedan and the service was professional and efficient. The driver JOHN was AMAZING! He was polite, calm, pleasant and full of suggestions, tips and shared his knowledge! My driver applied care toward myself, my car and showed kindness not often displayed! I cannot say enough Good things about Bergen Brookside, the customer service was Phenomenal the repairs done to my vehicle were Perfect as well as being done very quickly. The second I walked thru the door I was made to feel that everything was taken care of and it was Percent! I would Highly Recommend them to anyone. If you've had the misfortune of being in an accident don't worry they have you covered. Your vehicle will literally look Brand New!!!
