The customer service my husband and I received today was amazing! I want to thank Pedro, who listened to both of our car request and got us in and out quickly. He showed kindness and professionalism throughout our entire interaction. If you go there, ask for him you won’t be disappointed at all!
I come from Manhattan to have my car serviced here. The guy who put my new brakes on put them on the wrong side. I will be going to Tires Plus tomorrow (in Florida) to get them fixed. Ridiculous!!!
The primary reason for the score is they are somewhat overpriced for parts and service. It does not mean they do not do a good job, just that their prices are high. I've been going to Firestone at this Fairview, NJ location for some time. The staff is usually very professional and for the most part over the years they have done good work. They back up their work if anything goes wrong and give you a limited warranty on certain services. They have even offered discounts. I have a foreign vehicle and they claim parts are pricer for such cars. However, when I research prices, for parts and average labor costs for such work on my type of foreign vehicle, Firestone is higher.Could be because they are a bigger corporate chain, but definitely independent mechanic locations are somewhat more affordable.
They either sabotaged my car or they are incompetent. I went in for a simple oil change and left with a major oil leak with a damaged oil valve that has left my engine covered in oil. My car is pretty new and has always been in great condition. My service advisor “BARKEV” had a lot of attitude when I declined all the extra services they tried to sneak into my initial invoice. I’m not sure if the oil leak was retaliatory. The car was serviced by “DANIEL” according to my invoice. Extremely frustrating. Will never return.
DO NOT LET SENIOR CITIZENS GO HERE ALONE! Dropped off an oklder relatives car for a tire repair. Should have run 1000-1500. Didnt know the relative went to look at the car alone during the days the car was in the shop. These CREEPS took advatage of an 85 YEAR OLD MAN! The bill came to $3000!!! Why? Because they upsold him New TIRES to replace 6 MONTH OLD NEW TIRES, New Windshield Wipers ( Yea 89 DOLLAR Windshield Wipers were needed for A TIRE REPAIR & a whole bunch of other do das HE DIDNT NEED. But they HOODWINKED AN 85 YEAR OLD MAN! This is what Fairview Firestone is! AVOID THIS PLACE BEFORE THEY BLEED YOU DRY!
I had an amazing experience with Pedro. I came in on one of those days—nothing was going right, and I could barely hold back tears. I had called ahead and scheduled an appointment. When I arrived, Pedro inspected my car and let me know that while they didn’t have my exact tire in stock, they had a comparable option available.
I did have to wait a bit for the installation, but honestly, that’s to be expected. Some of these negative reviews complaining about the wait come off as so entitled.

I recently had brand-new tires installed by my trusted mechanic, and my brakes were just inspected and confirmed to be in good condition. The only reason I came to Firestone was for a service my mechanic doesn’t offer—and it was only supposed to be a consultation.
They performed a courtesy check and claimed I needed a brake fluid exchange. I agreed, but after the service, I noticed a leak that wasn’t there before. To make things worse, I found a nail in one of my new tires just days after getting them installed—raising serious concerns about whether they keep their workspace clean or if this was done intentionally.
On top of that, their labor fees are outrageously high—they charge far more than any reputable mechanic in New Jersey.
This was hands-down the worst decision I’ve made for my car, and I will never return.
I had my car towed in because it wouldn't start. I was told the repair would be $800. When I questioned why they said the part was $500. I called another Firestone down the street and the exact same part was only $130. I called the store back and the store manager insisted he got the part from the manufacturer at the part was $500.
I called the manufacturer and to no ones surprise the part is only $130.
They also advertise a 10% military discount but only gave 5%. They are very dishonest people.
The team here is always so helpful and explains everything very clearly. Barkev was very honest with what was needed for my car and worked with me to sort things within my budget and timing. Waits aren’t too bad - will remain my primary shop.
I don’t write bad reviews but if I can give this place 0 stars I would. The five stars reviews are likely fake and bought. Pedro, Julio, and Barkev have been awful, they laugh and wink with each other on how much they can up charge you because they assume you know nothing about cars. They change their pricing after it was all said and done ( NOT ONCE BUT TWICE 667->697->791). I had no choice but to pay. My car stopped running in the middle of the road and I had it towed to the nearest mechanic, which VERY unfortunately was this place. They wanted to change my windshield wipers and change my back and front breaks even though they have all been changed recently and has no relevance to why my car stopped running. For that, they asked me to go to my Hyundai dealership to figure it out. So kudos, not confident they know what they are talking about. I’m more upset about the injustice, bullying and how they completely had taken advantage of me. Do not come here, go literally anywhere else.

Went here for a brake inspection and they just replaced one of my lug nuts with a completely different one . They never told me this and I even gave the guy who checked it a $20 tip because he didn’t kick the rims onto the floor like I saw another mechanic do. I suggest not going here if you care about your vehicle
Only Julio and Pedro are helpful. Barkev seems to be a scam. Do not take your car to this place. Please listen to what I'm saying and read all other reviews. 3 stars average isn't for a good reason. Their prices are super high, and they feel even higher when you realize that the quality of their work is very poor. They do not show any care for customers or car. They could return your car full of greasy black marks, greasy towels in the car. Accessories that they need to remove to access the location of the part they are trying to fix they put back partially fastened, loose with clips or screws missing, or bent. They could very well damage another part while fixing. The one you paid a ton of money for and then they do not care for how long it takes them to fix that part they damage. In fact they will really make sure that it is not done ahead of any other work they do are charging for because they need to fix that part they broke for free. So you are 3 times screwed. You paid a ton of money. They damaged another part, and you have to wait really long. Never mind them trying to offer some kind of compensation, discount, maybe pay for your Ubers while they fix what they damage and they will tell you. The car will be ready when we can fix it. It is ridiculous.
Pedro was super helpful and saved me on a day I had a flat but my mother was in the hospital. He prioritized my service and I am so grateful for his humanity. Now I am able to visit her and care for her because of his help.

Needed new valve for tire, technician said I needed new tire, after reluctance i agreed because technician said so. After 217$ charges I asked technician if he could show me on tire why tire needed replacement, he said tire was good and didn’t need to be replace, but I told him to replace it. Well, he said it needed to be replaced!! Beware of this Firestone, think I saw Asian lady being hassled too for stuff she didn’t ask for!
I really don’t like to have to write bad reviews, but this experience rubbed me in such a negative way. Had an appointment for a synthetic oil change. Quoted a 30 minute wait and $80 price on phone based on my car. Ended up waiting 2 hours and told the total would be $116. Would not recommend as a professional experience.
I went in because of a grinding sound on my car. I was met by a kind, helpful person named, Julio. I was told exactly what I needed and he was accommodating to my concerns. After further inspection by their excellent team of mechanics they uncovered various repairs that needed to be met. I spoke with Emilio their manager. He was very knowledgeable and spoke earnestly with me. I chose the most important urgent repairs (all 4 tires, brake pads, rotors, alignment). The cost was very fair. The work was excellent. It was done in a 1 days time. My car runs very well. I came back from repeat business an oil change. This place is rocking!
Excellent management and reasonable prices - fast repairs- on-site parking - I have been a steady customer at Firestone for over 20 years - for repairs, they are very satisfactory and the prices are better than the car manufacturer dealer's prices - Emilio and Pedro are customer friendly and gives recommendations before performing services - my cars need to be reliable and preventive maintenance are important - in fact our family's four cars are serviced here.
Bad business guys . The manager Emillio is a disgrace . If you have a nice car don’t bring it here . They do Not know how to handle foreign cars . I brought in my Mercedes that has Amg rims and they completely scratched them . When I tried to explain to them and show them videos I had the manager didn’t want to hear it . Practically called me a liar telling me his people wouldn’t do that . I had videos and pictures for proof but he denied to even look at them . When I picked up the car and told them about it they told me they would tell the owner and we would come to an agreement but practically just lied so I could drive the car out of there lot and it wouldn’t be their issue anymore . Guys save your money and go somewhere else that deals with nice cars . Even the dealer is better there gonna charge you the same amount . I will post pictures for everyone to see and if corporate or the owner sees this. I can provide videos and proof that your people are very incompetent and your customer service is even worse . Manager kept grabbing the phone so I would just leave and stop bothering him . Wow if I could give it no stars I would
