Today I bought a bag of Collard Greens that were supposed to be cut and pre-washed. They were dirty and had many large and bad pieces. I had to spend a lot of time washing, cutting and sorting through them to pick out bad ones. I bought the bag to avoid this. I could have just bought the regular greens and did all that work.
I have bought this in the past and did not have a problem.
This was very disappointing!
This is a big Stop & Shop with a great variety of products and plenty of space to shop comfortably. The store is clean and well organized, and I can usually find everything I need in one trip. Produce and bakery sections are fresh and well-stocked, and the deli has good options too.
Prices are fair, especially if you use the Stop & Shop rewards card or catch weekly deals. Staff are friendly and helpful most of the time, and the self-checkout area makes it easy to get in and out quickly.
Sometimes the aisles can get a little busy, and a few items can be on the pricier side, but overall it’s a solid place for groceries. Definitely one of the better Stop & Shops around.
This appeared to be a newly built store, all things in this store were so new, clean and organized. The ceiling had several windows that brought sunlight inside the store, a rare feat that I had not seen in other stores. But just like other stores, they had all the departments like fruits and veggies, bakery, floral, seafood and customer service. Many staff members were available all around the store to help customers with whatever they needed.
Since it was on our way, we made a stop to get some of our groceries. I was looking for Fanta Zero Sugar cases that were on Buy 2 Get 1 free promotion. There were good deals on few other items as well. We got some cereal, chips and juice from the store as well. We used the self-checkout lane, was quick and easy.
Nasty place and dishonest workers!! I went to purchase grapes. When I got home, I place it in the counter and I realize that water was running from the bag. When checked they put fresh grapes on top of the old grapes that was rotten. I didn’t see because they was at the bottom. I am upset beyond words.
I was looking for a certain product and Stop & Shop had it at a fantastic price. This was my first visit there. I was pleasantly surprised that workers went out of their way to help me. Even the customers we're willing to tell me where i could find things. It is a beautiful store and seems to be well stocked. I'm looking
forward to going back when I have more time. This way, i can cruise all the aisles and see what treasures I will find.
I do like Stop and Shop stores. They always have fresh meats and vegetables. They carry the baby food I need for my elderly dog. Their brand of seltzer is my favorite. In every one of the stores I go in, the staff is very helpful.
Nice clean and excellent selections.. shop carefully prices and salea and they are comparable to Shop Rite, but the key Is QUALITY.
Meats, fresh produce and variety are worth the extra distance too
Occasional. Not best prices. Not best selection. After numerous trips there seems clerks are not helpful nor welcoming. Good to pick up FLASH FOOD - use your app.
I made a purchase today in your market, bought in deli many types of cheeses and sausages, but I noticed one thing: I bought about 1 pound of each type, for example: 1 pound of cheese was weighed by a worker and the scales showed 1,100 pound and the worker removed one piece of cheese and threw it in the trash. I was shocked! My advice is not to throw it in the trash, but to withdraw how much came out + - more or less, the customers buys everything and this is income for you from these extra pieces of cheese or salami.
I go to stop & shop every two weeks. The store is always clean. The staff is very friendly. The aisles are spacious. The fruit selection is always well stocked with the biggest blueberries and strawberries around. Great selection of fresh produce. The staff behind the deli counter are very well trained and are always available. Food had gone up in price but not at Stop N Shop. They have a wide variety of store-brand items from soups to potato chips. There is never a long line on checkout the the cashier are very fast and helpful with packing the food in the bags for me. The reward discount card will bring down a large final price to a moderate good price that is affordable. I will continue to go to Stop N Shop.
Lots of items without prices on them. Ice cream was in a few different places. Salsa and chips take a whole isle...could haves some smaller isle box displays vs. same thing in 3 different places. Look what Clifton does...much more organized there.
Good selection of food. Check dates on your items before you buy. Checkouts are a pain, the self one is always going off so you have to wait for someone to clear it. Staffed ones vary from good to unhelpful (don't help bag, don't greet you or say thank you, don't tell you the price of your groceries - they just stare at you until you ask.)
Worst store ever. Terrible robot follows me and harasses me. (Is probably racially profiling me for shoplifting) Store layout is metroidvania designed and requires a lot of backtracking. They no longer give you bags and will have you buy them instead as part of a new scam. I had to carry my grocery’s in my shirt like an animal back to my car while all the employees pointed and laughed.
The place is great. The produce all seemed fresh with an ample selection and variety. The store was near. Shelves were mostly fully stocked and the aisles weren't cluttered with boxes or too many of those annoying box displays that some stores are so fond of. Have to hold off the 5th star because, while stop & shop is certainly competitive, there's at least 1 supermarket in the general area that tends to have slightly better pricing. That said, some of the sale items are fantastically priced. Checkout was friendly, fast and polite.
We did an online order. They offered some subtitutions for items on our list that were not in stock, which we were able to accept or reject. The order was ready on time. The store employee was very courteous and pleasant. Everything we expected was delivered, and our bananas were NOT bruised. A perfect online shopping experience! Highly recommended. UPDATE: We did a second online order (2 weeks later) and did not know a substitution had been made. We can't use this substitution due to allergy/sensitivity. I doubt it can be returned either due to the pandemic. Nothing is perfect and online shopping is a big help to us right now
Spacious, rarely crowded. Helpful staff. They don't always carry everything I usually buy, but you can make do. Convenient to post office and located within a mini mall. Lots of parking.
Above and beyond! I placed a custom order cake yesterday and Sandie at the bakery was unbelievably helpful. I was looking for a Darth Vader design that was unfortunately no longer in their design book. Sandie recalled the exact design, scoured the back, and found one last Darth Vader cake topper! This is my first time ordering a cake here, and I really appreciated the extra effort.
Good selection for everyday needs and some higher end needs on occasion. Layout of the store is sensible and generally easy to shop. Produce, especially on the vegetable side, is inconsistent from a quality standpoint. Alternative selections (organic, almond milk, oat milk, vegan, locally sourced etc.) gets better as time goes on. Raw and hot bars are ok but you need to get the timing close to perfect or the quality suffers.
Some employees seem to purposely avoid attending customers: Karen, in particular, behind the customer service desk, who saw me approaching and walked away quickly to look at sale tag items in a nearby aisle. She left me standing there for a solid 3 minutes until another employee emerged and assisted me. I don't think I'll be returning to this location.
Nice, clean store! It's one of the larger stores, so it has a bigger variety in each food category...except the teeny, tiny kosher shelf. Staff is usually friendly and I like their outdoor plants/seasonal (pumpkin) selection.
Very nice clean store. Very good chocolate croissants. Shop Rite is a bit cheaper, but this store has good quality items. There is a nice place to sit and have coffee and Baker items. Neat robot moves around, it is supposed to clean up spills and sweep up. But I was told it doesn’t do a good job, it mostly tells employees to come and clean up themselves.
Lots of parking, clean store and friendly employees. The lay out is a bit odd and the butchers block just seems a bit light as well as the seafood selection in comparison to other chain grocery stores in the area. Good selection and wide aisles.
I give this store 4 stars for cleanliness, brightness, fresh meat products and quick check out lines. It is one of the better Stop & Shop's in the area. Helpful employees seem genuinely happy to answer questions and the customer service line doesn't give you ogeda before it's your turn.
Why have I never noticed this store? It's large, clean, easy to navigate, well-stocked and the prices are comparable with other local vendors. They have great sales, a user friendly layout and I like the "healthy/organic stuff" aisle.
This is probably the first time I have been in this store and it was a pleasant surprise. I will shop here again as the experience was blessedly painless.

I love to shop at this Stop and Shop because they open early at 6am. Before playing tennis at Washington Township Tennis Club I always buy something for our snacks at the club after playing. Today I bought cherries and at the cashier I just asked Ellen, the cashier how much is per pound because it appeared in the register $2.19 and the tag was $1.99 per lb,she barked at me that "She don't Cheat" but I did not say she was cheating, I'm just asking and actually it's my fault because when the card was scanned the final price was $1.99 per lb. I had previous experience that I changed my mind returning one item and she told me that "I really hate this", she's a nasty old lady and that's the best description that I could describe her. Sorry. Just stating my own experience.
This is the best grocery store with in the surrounding towns. Produce stock usually plentiful, meat and fish are nicely cut and packaged, sometimes sold out. A whole isle dedicated to organic and alternative foods, "healthy" i guess you could say. The store is well organized which makes my shopping trips a easy and fast. The lane move slowly at times but self check out is usually fastest, although the overseer is not always around to help when something goes wrong.
Overall, great place, better than ShopRite across town.
Very large store which many times makes it difficult to shop for different items. Many of the shopping aisles signs hanging from the ceiling are either not labled or not exclusive, ie: items for baby products aren't included included as are many other general items you'd expect to be listed. As a whole it's over priced. Customer service and sales associates are very helpful. Parking is good. Wished it was a Shop Rite!
