Great small repair shop after trying many big chain auto repair shops I am so glad I found Mr Takahashi. One other mechanic wanted $ 250 for diagnostic fee even when I told him exactly what needs to be done, Mr Taka fixed in 10 minutes for $50 and did exactly what was needed; if you know what the car needs he is your guy!!!

I was referred to this shop by someone I trust for body work, but it turned out to be one of the worst mechanic experiences I’ve had.
I brought my car in for a grinding noise above 30 mph. The owner barely asked any questions and quickly concluded it was a wheel bearing issue. Instead of engaging in a proper diagnostic conversation or explaining his thought process, he quickly concluded it was a wheel bearing issue. No explanation, no hypothesis, just a firm (and unconvincing) decision without explaining his reasoning or considering other possible causes I mentioned, like the rotors or brake pads (which other mechanics had suggested). I paid $350 in cash to replace the wheel bearing, but the noise didn’t go away
When I followed up, he told me to come back on a specific day, only to brush me off because they “took in too many cars.” No apology, no update - just left me standing around for nearly an hour before telling me he was too busy. On my next visit, he guessed it might be another wheel bearing - again, no tools or thorough inspection, just a casual listen from a distance. When I questioned his approach, he got defensive and blamed me for not giving enough details, then walked away without resolving anything.
Even speaking to his son (also a mechanic there) led nowhere - just more deflection and no accountability. No follow-up, no apology, and I’m still stuck with the original issue.
If you need something simple done, maybe this place will work. But if you care about proper diagnostics, communication, and not wasting money, go somewhere else.

I’m Japanese and had almost no experience driving in Japan, nor any knowledge about cars. Despite that, I was the one in my family in charge of dealing with car issues. When our car needed major repairs, I had a terrible experience at another shop where I was taken advantage of as a Japanese woman unfamiliar with cars. That’s when I turned to Saeiro Motors, and in the end, they really saved me.
He showed me the inside of the car and explained things clearly. He only did what was truly necessary and handled everything with integrity. He is an honest and reliable person, and I’m deeply grateful for his help.

My check engine light came on and they took me the same day with no appointment. Fixed the loose hose on my engine and gave me an oil change while I was there.
Taka was very honest with me that I might have to bring it back if the hose had further leaks, but two weeks later and it’s still running perfect. Great customer service and honest people.
Very nice and pleasant to work with. This is a father son business and you can tell they both have years of experience. Mr. Takahashi San helped address a check engine issue and also did routine maintenance including an oil change.
The mechanic here is always willing to make time for question and emergencies. My father came to visit from Connecticut, and his 2002 car had a worn alternator. Because he needed to be back home in less than two days, the mechanic made time for my father's car, even though his schedule was really full.
My father was back in Milford the next day with a fair car bill. An out of state business card has earned his wallet space.

Once again, Saeilo took care of my immediate needs, in this case a tire with a slow leak in one car's tire and a headlight bulb replacement for my other car, very quickly even though I showed up without an appointment. And, once again, I was surprised by the very reasonable charge for these services.

Owner, Taka is an amazing mechanic and very knowledgeable of many make and model of vehicles and I give my 100% trust in my car. Just got my regular check ups, oil changes and a transmission oil change as per his recommendation and while during that time, he also noticed that my car’s battery was in need a replacement. He always contacts me before he changes them and tells me the cost involved. And I really appreciate that level of service.

I have been taking my car in to Saeilo motors for repairs and maintenance for about ten years. Taka always does a professional job and explains the issue. I never have doubts or concerns about being overcharged or that a repair is not done in a competent manner. Last month I brought my car in for an oil change and I got a few recommendations to help maintain the car. Saeilo is a trustworthy and professional establishment.
This shop came highly recommended by a friend of mine. I had an outstanding experience. Rear brake pads replaced and tires rotated. Honest business that charged a very fair price and had me in and out in approximately one hour. I will be back for all of my auto maintenance needs. Thanks guys!- Mike
Worst service ever! I went to Saeilo motors for the first time for regular oil change. He asked me to leave the car and come back in a few hours. After I got the car back, out of no where the tires started wobbling and the car battery died. When I showed him both the things he straight forward refused to admit any of the issues. My car was in a perfect condition before I left it at him place. I would strongly advise against taking your car to him.
Worse experience, my battery died during “oil change” and it was because of heat he said. I had it checked about a month ago and everything was fine. I would recommend taking pictures of all important removable parts of your car and check it against that if something doesn’t look right. Never going there again.
I was recommended Saeilo Motors and couldnt be happier with their work. Mr. Taka is a fine gentlemen and was able to fix my roof in just one day. He is super professional and even texted me to see how everything was ok with my car after the fact! If your looking for reliable car repair look no further!
Mr. Taka has been my go to mechanic since I moved to Edgewater. His prices are reasonable, his turnaround times are good, and he's a very nice person. He doesn't have a big waiting room, but Target and Starbucks are across the street. Mr Taka has recently started checking in via text to follow up after appointments, which is very appreciated!
My first impression of Taka was that he is very honest: My aging Honda had smoke coming from the radiator and when I told this to my mechanic at the time, he said I might need a new radiator, which would be very expensive. I decided to get a second opinion and read a few positive reviews of Saeilo and since they’re nearby, I went there—Taka took a look at the radiator, saw the smoke and figured out the problem: The radiator cap was simply defective and needed to be replaced, at the cost of just a few dollars. True story. I’ve happily had my Honda serviced by Saeilo ever since. They know their stuff, prices are reasonable and did I mention they’re honest?
I rely on Saelo to keep my (almost) classic 323 in tip-top condition. They have never let me down and I have found them to be responsive and professional. No frills but I don't need that - only solid reliable service.
I almost don't want to write a review for Saeilo Motors because they are literally the best repair shop I have ever been to in my life (and I am a senior citizen so I have been in plenty repair shops!) and I sort of want it to be a secret. Mr. Takahashi is unbelievably honest. He only charged me $10 to fix my bumper that had fallen off when I ran into a snowbank! Any other repair shop would have bilked me for untold labor charges. A couple months ago my car was making a funny noise and I took it to him. He drove it and said it was fine...No charge. Who does that?? Only honest, capable and fair car repair shops that rely on good work and word-of-mouth. One day as I was waiting for my car to be finished, another customer was seated next to me who told me he drives over 90 miles to bring his car to Saeilo and has been doing so all his life. Mr. Takahashi is very well-qualified and has all kinds of training and award certificates on his wall. I have had many different types of service done by him on my GM vehicle with over 160,000 miles. Top-notch place and highly recommended!
Can't rate the handiwork that well since I only used this service twice and only for nails/bolts in my tires. However, I showed up there with a deflating tire at 8pm, which is 2 hours after he closes. Saw the light inside and knocked. The man ended up taking my tire off, finding the tiny nail and fixing it. That's good service.
