When I was in a bad car accident last year, DTR was the towing company that was called to the scene. I was impressed by their customer service and how they tried to help us multiple times to access the glovebox in our electric car. They truly go above and beyond - I highly recommend DTR!
What a great and lucky find! We were driving home after dark on Christmas and had a flat tire. We needed to drive quite a bit before we could get off onto a shoulder, so we were worried that we might have done some damage to the car in addition to the flat tire. Kyle came promptly with a tow truck in case we needed towing. He kindly checked everything out, changed the tire quickly, explained what he saw (all good to go) and waited to watch us load the trunk so he could make sure we were okay driving off before he left. Also note, the company could have charged us extra for interrupting their evening, but they didn't at all! Absolutely a 5 star review.
Honest, professional, and genuinely helpful. I stopped by DTR Automotive for a full inspection on my Expedition and worked with Lisa and Kyle. They couldn’t have been nicer — walked me through everything clearly, didn’t push unnecessary work, and even told me my brakes were in good shape instead of selling me a replacement I didn’t need. The car’s running great, and they didn’t charge a dime for the check. Hard to find this level of honesty and care these days. Highly recommend DTR — this is my new go-to shop in Closter.
Got a flat tire on 9W in Closter and Audi was gunna take 2 hours to send someone. Called these guys and they showed up in 10-15 mins and fixed me up in less time than that! Wish I got his name- nicest guy and made a bad situation not so bad. Highly recommend. TY guys!

I initially called to inquire about towing my SUV from neighboring town to out of state town and spoke with Matt. That’s another story with Matt as we discussed initially regarding next morning towing but didn’t get the confirmation window.
I call around 7:30 AM the next morning and had the absolute pleasure of speaking with Kyle, to my surprise the SUV was already picked up by Alex at 7 AM (thanks Matt), who had arrived at the dealership before 7 AM. Alex was also wonderful as he completed the tow drop off service in the next hour or so and called to confirm.
I highly recommend all these outstanding DTR people who have a strong internal communication system and they provide exceptional customer care.

Basically, DTR is a 100% legit service and I strongly recommend Kyle & his team. I've used DTR twice now, both times when I needed cars towed from one location to another. Each time, Kyle showed up at exactly the scheduled time, with the right truck type and performed picture perfect tows with delicate cars. I've been with them for 3+ years (wish I found them sooner) and they are one of the very best in Bergen County. The mechanics are very knowledgeable and experienced. I mostly do annual oil change maintenance service with them on a 16 year old Volvo. I've gotten tires changed, wheel alignment adjusted and rear-view mirror replaced all at super competitive prices and done very quickly. They are very pleasant and friendly to deal with, your car is in good hands.
I am a service manager at a high-line new car dealer. In this area, I had nothing but nightmare experience's with other tow companies helping our customers. One day, another company said they couldn't tow a customer's vehicle out of the garage but DTR could. He was nice enough to even give me DTR's number.
