Our anchor dragged and Mike from Sea Tow came to help pull us off the beach. Was very well equipped with tow lines and bridles etc. can’t fault the competence or friendly service. But deserves six stars for everything else - offering to take us to a hotel if we needed one (although we stayed aboard) and ringing round to find a boatyard that could lift us the next day. Honestly couldn’t have asked for more in otherwise difficult circumstances.

Very knowledgeable captains and are very prompt.

One of our captains in our team is signed up for the highest tier service at Seatow. We contacted Seatow through their customer service multiple times, but no response, and the one time we talked to an operator, she told us to go back to the "customer service form," we did, and no response. 8 months have passed, so here it is. First of all, the Seatow operator for NE NJ was not very accommodating, or nice on the phone when we called in for help (hung up on me mid-sentence), our boat was stranded by a barge, and he sited weather conditions (the weather was not bad at all and the water was calm!) for not being able to tow us back to our home port, and gave us no choice but to getting towed to another port (just 20 min away from our home port, he told us that we would have to pay for the slip there to keep our boat overnight... what???), and then told us he will go get our boat the *next day* and tow us back to our home port... on top of that, he told us we would have to wait a couple of hours while stranded before he could come get us in the first place. Close to useless as a towing service, in addition to the fact that according to him, we would have to pay for a extra slip for the night, having to taxi back from a unfamiliar port, etc. In the end we had to call a friend to tow our boat back whom we paid, and came right away for us. We were basically refused service for no good reason. All this despite signing up for the most expensive option at Seatow. What is the point of paying a towing service if this is what happens? We are looking to cancel the service, but their policy is non-refundable. We will just not renew the service, but it was a waste of money to be sure. I suggest great caution before signing up with Seatow if you are in this area.
