It's deceiving that Lambert Auto sales, who now owns Colony didn't change the company's name. Humm?
Colony of chaos. Their owner and employee need to be retrained on customer service, if they ever were to begin with. The employee was baffled that my cell number was from out of state. He’s apparently unaware that people don’t change their cell numbers too often anymore when they move across state lines. Then he said he’d have to check to see if the car they had in the yard had the part I wanted. When I asked how long it would take he said there are two requests ahead of me, and that’s how it works there. I said I needed to know in the next 15 min if I wanted to order same day for a new part from another place. He refused to accommodate me, but said it would be maybe an hour. Or two. I said ok. 3 hours later, still no call. I called back, and the little man had a serious attitude problem. I asked for the manager or owner, who wasn’t any better. They have this weird sarcastic, combined with befuddlement, tone to everything they say. Of course I lost it, but this place is chaos masquerading as an auto salvage. They apparently have great prices, but aside from that it’s a massive shambles. Now I have to go in and sort this out in person. Very unfortunate.
Much like the all the other lamberts auto parts & other salvage yards might as well be a parts store because they are only open weekdays M-F during business hrs. , so young weekend warriors have no where buy used parts to learn by trial & error
I had a rather frustrating experience with this auto parts store. I initially ordered a rear door for my black Hyundai, but to my surprise, I received a light blue door instead. However, that wasn't the most frustrating part of this ordeal. What really irked me was that I was never informed about this color discrepancy until an entire week had passed, and I had already paid for the door, installation costs, and waited for people to complete the installation. It was only then, when I saw a sky-blue door on my black car, that I realized the issue.
Throughout this process, the store had multiple opportunities to be transparent about the situation, but they chose not to disclose the color difference, which I found to be incredibly disrespectful and aggravating. They didn't inform me when I initially placed the order, when the door arrived, on the morning I dropped off my car, or when I picked it up. I was completely shocked to discover the mismatched door on my "finished" car. To make matters worse, their recommendation was, "I couldn't find a black door, so feel free to paint it yourself." This response left me feeling scammed and frustrated.
My question is, why didn't they communicate this issue from the very beginning, so I could have explored other options or alternative auto shops? Instead, I had to rely on a neighbor to paint the door black on the same day, incurring additional expenses and wasting more of my time and energy. My car now looks even worse after his “recommendation“. If time could reverse, I just hope I had never walked into this place. This whole experience has left me with a sour taste, and I have no intention of returning to this store. This kind of disrespectful and unprofessional conduct is simply unacceptable. I will never recommend this place to anyone at all due to this distressed experience.
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff and prices are decent you will not get ripped off here,been going here since I was a teenager and they are by far the best junk yard in this area.
I needed a starter for my 07 Volvo S40.... They had plenty in stock and the price was awesome..... 35 dollars with a core... Thanks Jeff .... Great service and excellent prices..... I'll be back!!! Good people there!!!
Got my car worked on here about a month ago after an accident. Colony did great work, and finished earlier than expected.They looked at my car right away and got me an estimate that made me feel confident I was getting the best deal. The people here were more kind to me than other places I visited, which was what I needed at such a stressful time! I would recommend going here
I bought a used tire from colony after checking around and either there was none or way to highly priced so I bought the only one they had just to find out that no place would mount and balance the tire they sold me stating its over 10 yrs old why is that......
I bought a ford ranger here 3 years ago. I originally bought it as a beater for my crew to run errands in. Here we are 3 years later. Truck still runs perfect and I haven't put nothing but gas and oil in it.
I have to say they were very honest and i would buy a other vehicle from them.
Update, I've had the truck for 4 years now and still have not had any issues. Its been a fantastic truck. Every year I say this is its last year. The thing keeps going so no point in getting rid of it
We needed a part for my son's car. We used their website and found that they had our part in stock. We picked it up 2 days later and the price was one of the best we found. The part was ready to go and the staff was friendly. The place was clean for a used auto parts place. Our Google maps first led us to the wrong street. It may have been my phone or Google, but we turned one street to early. Look for their sign on the main road. Thank you! We will definitely look there first if we need parts again. We will also refer you to friends and acquaintances if ever needed.
I live a hour away. They treated me with best respect. I brought my car to some other place and they screwed me . broke my windshield and other things. When i told them what happened they told me to bring my car to them and they would help my get it running right again. They treated me like family and explain everything to me . please if anyone has problems with there car go to them. I can't say enough about them.
Great guys to deal with, they really know their stuff when it comes to finding the right parts, even if they have to research them and call you back, they always do!!!
Awesome Family run business! Needed a part for my 20 year old car and they found it and got it for me in 2 days. Only people who would put themselves out for me.
Very nice people! Came and picked up a vehicle for me (same day as well) and paid the most out of others in the area. Had a check ready upon pickup for me. The tow truck driver who took the vehicle was extremely quick and nice as well!
Very happy with there service! they had a part that I had been looking for almost all day, it was the only one and even though they had a hard time looking it up on the computer (bc of this an that) they went out of there was to find it and when I got there to get it they were very nice! Only thing I must add in is that when I called the first 2 times(had the wrong omissions) both times the girl that had picked up the phone didn't even bother to look, just told me NO, only found out they did have one was bc another place I had called told me, but once I had spoken to someone who actually took the time to look, it was A++ from there on :)
These guys are great. Most yards either have what you want or not, it's really the customer service that sets one apart from another. These guys have it. There are other yards closer but Colony is definitely my "go to".
