Had a great experience there yesterday. Found a glass doorknob to replace a broken one in our 1910 home. Also found a great mahogany mantel to replace an unfortunate attempt at modernization. Wanted to note that I was impressed with the owner’s ability to keep cool and be diplomatic in a very difficult situation. Another customer was irate because she thought a couple pieces of hardware (no marked price) should be $5 because she claimed found them in a bin marked $5. The owner politely explained that another customer must have moved them there, because they were dissimilar to the items in the bin and they were $15 each, not $5. The customer was yelling and threatening bad reviews (all over a $20 discrepancy) but the owner was polite and calm throughout.

They have absolutely amazing products and fantastic customer service. If you are looking for a unique statement piece, they have what you’re looking for and are helpful in finding it. Definitely worth a trip!

Best selection of vintage sinks and tubs I’ve seen in one place, ever.

I can highly recommend this company for a variety of architectural salvage. Well worth a visit. A proverbial Aladdin’s cave.

Wow, @EmilyGrondine, what a wicked liar you are! I stood next to the owner as she CALLED YOU and YOU PASSED on MY (now) beautiful Jordon Marsh Beacon Hill bay window...as heartbroken as you were...I was elated!!! I'd seen the piece a couple months before but couldn't purchase at the time...when I went back last week, I was told the window was ON HOLD for another customer, and the owner would have to CALL FIRST, to make sure the other customer no longer intended to purchase!!! Literally stood there, while Emily Grondine tried further negotiating price, and telling the owner she'd PUT HER ON TV if she could buy the piece for less, while I stood waiting with my credit card, ready to purchase!!! When you passed...I did a secret little happy dance!!! That you'd write a 1-star review, and LIE, says so much about YOU...SHAME ON YOU!!! Thanks, anyway, I'm so thrilled, I went back on Saturday and bought MORE salvage from the incredible Jordon Marsh mansion...NorEast Architectual Antiques is unmatched in what they do...excellent product and customer service! I'm a customer FOR LIFE and so HONORED to own these INCREDIBLE TREASURES!

Had a window pickup for a client from Noreast this morning. My wife and I drove 3 hours one-way for two large windows. When I arrived I spoke with John who did not seem to pleasant but I wasn’t there too buy. Because of the size of the windows I asked John if he delivered he said yes but did not offer it to my client. After I examined them and was satisfied they were what my client wanted we started to load. The large size determined the loading direction. I discussed this with John and his helper, John seemed less then happy the windows were going to have to be turned over to fit. Then said to me that he would transport them laying down. Any one that has ever transported an 8’ single pane glass would never do that, it will break under its own weight. As the first one went on the truck I am reminding John about the loading direction, which he snapped at me and said quote don’t speak to him like that or him and I will have a problem. I ignored the comment and moved on too the next window once loaded. Asking my wife too step out of the truck to give me a hand holding the first while we load the 2nd . John and his helper retrieved the 2nd as they brought it over I noticed it was turned the wrong way and again explained to John about the loading direction which he again now more forcefully explained that him and I were about to have a problem. As I again explained the loading direction issue John this time said he would now come up on to my truck and settle this problem. At this time I decided deescalate the situation by terminating the pickup of the windows. I told John that I would not be taking the windows and he would need to put them back where he found them, which he refused at first, and then I explained to him forcefully that the window were coming off my truck one way or another. At this time John’s wife appeared at the door.I held the window while John and his helper set the 2nd one back they then came back I handed my end to his helper and I left. As you would imagine my client was not happy over this situation. I have made many pickups throughout New England, NY, PA and NJ for this client alone without incident. My client was kind enough to send me full screenshots of the conversations he was having with John’s wife about this. John wife explained John best and I Quote “ John can have a temper” this is an understatement. Please read there 1,2 and 3 star reviews before buying from them, attitude, lies and general misconduct seem to be a recurring issue. That's a great business model. Doxing personal information on your review. Who's being the bullie?

This place is amazing! I could spend the entire day here if my schedule would allow it! They have everything! It is a bit pricey. Some things are priced way too high but I’m sure they would barter, I didn’t ask. I love that there’s a place like this for people to go when they need things for an old, antique house. When cheap things won’t do, go here. Superior quality from a time long gone.

Not many of these places left nice family owned business. If you are doing any kind of late 18 century early 1900 remodel this is the place Hardware, flooring, doors, trim and if they don’t have it just follow them on Instagram and be patient I have been looking for Hardware for an old door took me a year and a half but I did find it there definitely worth the visit

We could not have gotten the look and feel on our 1895 house renovation without the two stained glass windows, fifteen interior/exterior doors, three matching newel posts, and door hardware that came from Noreast Salvage. The touch of the door knobs and the heavy doors that swing and close with the feel you get from closing a bank vault are hard to replicate with new products. The picture highlights three Noreast items; first morning light through the stained glass window, the french doors with beveled glass and a heavy four panel door.

Love, love, love this place! ??? Unfortunately, I live in Wisconsin and it’s hard to get things home. However, I kept saying that “if I were home, this would be mine!” The stained glass is to die for!! I really liked this piece cause I love spider webs!

Terrible experience! I talked to John and told him that I was looking for 12-13" wide boards and he said they had plenty and it was $7.00 a board foot. I specifically went over what size boards we needed and the price. There was no confusion in what I asked and what I was told. I drove all the way down from Wells Maine, about an hour away, and John was not there so I asked to see the wood I was looking for and was told I couldn't go through and take just the wood I was in need of. They had another stack of wood and I was told I could buy this but the price went up to $15.00 a board foot, more than double. I got in touch with John a few days later and he said I was being to specific in what I wanted, dude that's why I called in the first place! I didn't want to waste my time driving down if I couldn't buy what I was looking for. If that was a problem you should have said so when I first called you to see if you had what I was looking for. I can't stand people that lie to get you in and then switch things up on you. Looks like a neat place, the people are not. Highly recommend avoiding this place. Terrible experience. There was no yelling and no one talked to me, I walked out and left while some unpleasant woman was on the phone, I don't have time for liar's. Read the other reviews they do have a poor reputation.

Donna and the staff are amazing and wonderful to work with! Their selection is incredible - from doors to hardware to the most unique finds you could never find anywhere else. A true gem that lovers of salvage and antiques should not pass up.

Simply wonderful! Our friends wanted to stop in and look for fixtures for an upcoming renovation, so my husband and I tagged along. Stepping into Nor'East Architectural Antiques is like stepping into a fever dream of beautiful glass, light fixtures, furniture, and architectural salvage. I have a degree from Sotheby's, so I know The Goods when I see them, and Nor'East definitely has The Goods. I found the most beautiful fireplace insert and the knowledgeable staff gave me an extremely fair price. Highly recommend!

Our visit was not a very good one. My husband called looking for specific widths of old barn board for what he is making and wanted 300 board feet, he was told no problem it was about $7.00 a board foot. When he got there they would not let him take what he called about and tried to switch him to a pile of old board for $15.00 a board foot, more than double. We drove an hour to get there so we made a two hour round trip for nothing! Terrible experience and rude people. We should have payed attention to the other negative reviews.

We have wanted to make the trek up to Nor'East from Boston for quite some time and are so glad we did. Donna and Colton were super helpful and so nice. Donna even provided lunch recommendations (Amesbury and Newburyport, MA are the next towns over and there are so many cute farms and shops close by). There was no pressure and we were able to walk around the amazing space at our own pace. You could spend a lifetime looking at all of the treasures and are sad we don't live closer or we would be there every week. We found the perfect stained glass window for our 1880 Victorian and will definitely be back to pick up more things as we continue on our restoration journey. You can either go in with a plan (their website has extensive listings of items for sale and Donna does an amazing job at managing their Instagram account), or just meander around and see what catches your eye. I don't think it's possible to leave without at least one thing.

my wife and i went here saturday, 27th. we were greeted my a dark haired guy who seemed a lil peeved we were here. he asked if he could help and in return, my wife said we were looking for drawer knobs. he pointed them out to us . we actually found a glass knob that matched. no price tag mister attitude took it, turned his back and said 8 dollars. double the price of bigger knobs that had prices. if you had a problem with my mask under my nose so as not to fog up my glasses so i could see these knobs, you should have said something!! dont treat us like dirt !! ive been a truck driver for a wholesale building product company for over 38 years and lemme say this, if i did what you did, i''''d be written up! sorry our little sale wasnt worth you time. but i seem to think if we were interested in a $5000.00 bookcase, your attitude probally would be the same. my days of recommending your business are done. some of the people have bought and some not. all have said your prices are way to high. they tell us to support local companies.....with service like this? why should we? i know this place will be around awhile but man, its sad when you have holier than thou people working for them. $8.00 dirt and paint covered glass knob.....effing sad!! your company dosen't exist to me!

Went for the first time yesterday, we were able to find almost exactly what we were looking for and the price was phenomenal!!! A younger guy with short dark hair helped us, he was very knowledgeable and patient. We will be back !

I love this place, partly because I live in a house built in the 1700s and I can find appropriate stuff. Found a door the other day that was a perfect match for the storm door on the kitchen door (this one to use on the porch)...woohoo!!! I go occasionally just to wander around as you never know what they might get in. Staff is really helpful!

Place is immaculately organized but there are few prices on things. The guy was just throwing prices off the top of his head and they were absurd. While he had some nice pieces his attitude was lacking and I more than likely would not go back

Great store, super pricey but great place to find quality architectural pcs!

They have a large assortment of knobs, tiles and registers, but expect to pay somewhere in the $50-$200 range for that type of thing. I found the prices high for a salvage shop but if you think of it more as an antique store focusing on things like stained glass windows, doors and mantelpieces, the prices seem more in line. They do have a good selection.

Tons of treasures! There is a range of prices from inexpensive to high end depending on the piece. We drove 2 hours to visit and really enjoyed it!

We have built many reproduction homes and have never fell short on architectural antiques from Nor East. Great service and a great selection. Will continue to go back over and over again.

Great place for salvaged doors, mirrors, lamps, sinks, etc, etc. From small to huge (see the picture), some very cool stuff.

Don't waste your time going to this place. We found something on their website that we liked and called to ask them to hold it for us. They said that they would pull the item and it would be waiting for us when we got there. My wife and I then drove an hour in a snow storm to pick up said item only to have them tell us when we got there that "someone must have stolen it." Meanwhile we overhead another guy working in the store say that he had sold it the day before. They do have nice looking items on their website, but the people working there are horrible to deal with and you have no way of knowing whether that stuff is actually what they have in the store.

I am a Contractor. I was looking for some rough hewn antique beams. After walking around for 45 minutes in the hot sun looking and not having any luck I decided to stroll through their main building. Just as I was about to leave I bumped into John the owner. He asked me what I was looking for. I told him what I was looking for and showed him some architectural plan I had with me. He told me no problem and then brought me to a stack of exactly what I was looking for. I explained that the beams would need to be milled and John said no problem. I had no idea that they where a full service operation. So glad I went there.

I have gone to this place many times, always in search different things. I have recommended clients of mine, go there for ideas and interesting grabs to be used in projects I am designing for them. I recently went up to source some salvaged wood boards for a project I was working on. The first time, it felt like I was putting the guy out to look at different piles of wood. Then I asked if I could just pick through myself and he said no he does not want people pulling the piles apart. Then there was an excuse about needing to pull a bobcat out to move stuff around...anyway, I was able to get some material without much problem. However, I ran out and needed to go back for more. The second visit, I was greeted by a worker who told me I was not able to pull boards out and look at them. Some rule was that I was to just get a pile loaded from the ground into my truck. I chatted with him as to why, and he said, they get left with all the trash boards because people pick through and take all the good ones. Wait, you mean you want to sell trash boards to people? Wait you mean you want to over charge for this wood and sell boards that are unusable? I just ignored him and pulled the boards I needed. I was able to get enough wood for my project and decided I will never go back. Additionally, I will never tell any of my clients to go there either. This is really too bad, customer service in a place like this is so crucial. People need help, people need advice, and they need someone who does not try to sell them trash. If you go here, do not expect much in the way of customer service. You will definitely find a lot of treasures that are in fact overpriced as others have mentioned. I wish these guys luck with their business plan, however they will not be getting any more business from my company or clients, which is really too bad.
