"key auto group certified" is a LIE. They'd rather take you to court than admit their mistake and fix a problem they were asked specifically about before purchasing a vehicle.

Saw a car and met with the salesperson. Told them I would pay in cash as soon as I cashed out some stock and that I did not know how long it would take. Left my business card and touched base a few times. Cash came thru and went directly to the bank to take out the negotiated amount. Upon showing up at the dealership my salesperson was not available and the older guy there, holding on to dog proceeds to tell me that “they don’t hold on to anything g for three weeks” I would have appreciated a phone call and THIS is where the guy gets a red face and starts calling me a liar! Not once did I ever say I would be in the next day! YOU are the liar sir! I understand there may have been miscommunication on your part, but I was very clear! And my salesperson is NOT the reason I am mad! I did not deserve to be spoken to so vehemently and NOBODY TALKS TO ME THAT WAY! I have a very BIG MOUTH and not only will I NEVER return, I will inform everyone about how unprofessional you are and just what you said to me! I feel like I dodged a bullet by not purchasing a used car from this guy! Very unprofessional rude and disrespectful!

I would never deal with this group again. Specifically their Portsmouth chevy dealership. I bought a vehicle from them with some issues and since I left the showroom no one in management has responded to any of my emails or my phone calls! Absolutely horrible customer service

Bought my 2021 Acura RDX in 2024, under the impression it was a Certified Pre Owned vehicle (see photo of sale sticker below that was on vehicle when bought). The transmission and transfer case failed in October 2025, however under Acura’s CPO warranty my car would be covered; when I brought it to Key to be fixed, they let me know this car actually was not under Acura’s CPO warranty, although it was sold to me under the impression it was. Very shady business tactics, and will never return to Key Auto for any future purchases or services. Very disappointed in my entire experience here.

Bought my car from Key Auto of Nashua, and they disappeared overnight. I need repairs, under warranty I purchased and I keep getting ghosted from HQ in Portsmouth. Very frustrated. Ready to file claim with BBB.

I recently needed service on my Acura and the customer service provided by Emily and Jen exceeded all expectations. They went above and beyond to explain and help me navigate my repairs and were just genuinely nice and helpful. 5 stars!!

Bought my truck there. Drove for a month. Engine Service light came on, cylinder 7 misfire with a a bad ignition coil. Bought the electrical warranty with the truck. Brought it in, they didn't check it for four days, when they did, they reset the codes, drove 7 miles and "couldn't replicate the problem". I told them that is what happens to electrical parts when it's failing.. Service manager having his hands crossed says since they couldn't replicate the problem it's not covered under warranty. I paid $215 bucks for them to do nothing... I ended up buying the $30 ignition coil myself and replaced it myself and all my problems are gone.. service center isn't there for your best interest.

I would definitely not purchase a used vehicle from this dealership. I took delivery of a used Land Rover in late December. Upon delivery, I get in and notice all four tires were seriously under-inflated - and it had just been driven from Portsmouth to their Burlington location - 20psi - nearly half under-inflated and the "finance guy" who drove it didn't stop to put air in the brand new tires or ask the service center upon arrival to do so, nor did he mention it to me. I told a salesperson, their COO, and the GM who asks for feedback about this; never even acknowledged. Next, I discover the driver side window had a huge chip/crack at the top of the window - super unsafe and had to be replaced asap (the dealership did give me money towards making this right). Imagine my surprise when I take the car to get inspected in Vermont (after they had just put a NH inspection) and had to pay for new rotors/pads as they were "seriously below the minimum wear standard". Key's 70-point inspection is an absolute joke... This is your warning not to buy without a PPI or you may be out of pocket thousands to simply get your vehicle to a minimum safety standard, which you'd expect from any dealership. Really disappointed.

We bought a truck from them in December and they were very communicative leading up to the actual sale. Once the sale was done, they still owed us a key and they dropped off the map, wouldn’t call us back despite multiple calls and texts and outright lied about steps they were taking to get the second key. We contacted other locations as well and they also treated us similarly. This dealership lives out the mantra of “once they have your money, they don’t care about”. Don’t expect much from Hayden, Bryan and the team at the Portsmouth location once they have your cash.

Really disappointed with my experience with Key. I bought a brand new 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 from Key of Newport. The salesman was great. But the sales manager and I shook on 25k for my trade in with a set of new tires as well in the deal. It is my own fault that I trusted them and didn't read the paper work, come to find out almost a year later when I sold the truck, they only gave me 22k trade. Next I had several issues with the truck and brought it to Key of White river (as they were closer to me) to have them figure out what was wrong. I also had them do other things (Oil change, inspection, plug tire) while I had them looking into the initial problem. The truck would be there a day at a time but they would never have time to look at the initial issue, always saying they ran out of time. I finally got sick of not getting my truck fixed and asked them to buy it back if they weren't going to fix it. They came back with an offer 20k less than I had bought it for less than a year ago. I went to Toyota right down the road and they were able to give me 10k more than Keys offer. Ended up trading it there. But the story isn't over. No, I left a bad review back in September of 2023 essentially saying the same thing as above, less than 24 hours after posting the review the service manager George from white river called me and asked me to take down the review because it almost cost him his job. Never once asked what he could do to make it right, but kept insisting I take the review down. I did, but now I've decided to review them again as they are the most convenient dealer for me to work with since I drive GM vehicles but I will drive 40 minutes out of my way to not do business with them. But they don't care to make it right.

Broke my car keys, and they didn't want to fix or replace the key. The mechanics are short temper and like to curse you out as you leave. They have also broke multiple things and keep claiming it was not them when they were the last ones to work on it.

Key auto group can kiss my behind. Quite frankly the worst auto group to deal with or make a purchase from. Bought brand new 2023 jeep renegade. In march 2024 in the first 2500 miles every single electrical system has failure so bad at times the car would just die. I’ve attempted for the last two months to have this looked at and every key dealer dodges and ducks around never returns call and is constantly playing the we will call you back game. Now mind you many of these are safety issues and air bag system failure being a major one that flashes and dings constantly. It’s gotten to the the point now the vehicle is going back to the bank for voluntary reposition as it’s unsafe and they will not help me. Way to stand by your products. Bunch of swindlers in this dealer ship. Don’t buy from key they sell trash and refuse to help the customer after they take your money

i love how the nashua location closes down right after i just bought my car. no word of closure or anything. purchased my car from key auto and after only owning it for 6 months, have already had to put multiple grand into repairs. not to mention, when i first purchased the vehicle, they had told me no lights were on. come to find out the check engine light was on but “we fixed it.” it’s still important to know. i don’t recommend EVER purchasing from these shady people.

horrible service. i’ve had my truck i bought from them for a year and a half. it’s been back to the shop 5 times since then and counting. 3 times for the transmission. would not work with me at all any of the times. i would never buy another vehicle from them again.

They let me take a truck home for the night came back the next morning told them I wanted it did paperwork did bank statements proof of residency and then supposedly the next day my salesman was off and I didn't hear from him until I called him to ask him what time I could come pick the truck up. He then tells me that he's sorry that they sold it on his day off to someone else! Called talked to the manager gave them another chance to find me another truck similar and they blew me off after telling me they would. No response all weekend as promised. Very very poor communication and very poor business practices.. save yourself the hassle and never go there. If they do this at the sales level I can't imagine their service dept customer service.

I brought my car to the key automotive body shop. They took 3 weeks to do a small job and every time I called they gave me different completion date. Then when I finally got my car, the drivers side locks wouldn’t work, they put the wrong emblem on my grill, and there’s a run, and a bubble in my paint. I’ve been calling and they say they’ll call me back and it’s been almost another 3 weeks and they still haven’t fixed anything! Incompetence at its finest!

These guys are awesome! My 2013 Camaro was having issues, 174,000 miles on it so I knew it was becoming time to get a new vehicle and keep the Camaro as a summer car. No matter the issues the service department were always prompt, knowledgeable and descriptive of the issues my car was having. I ended up buying a new car with Portsmouth Chevrolet, even though it took me a few weeks to commit, the salesman Logan Sczmit was there to answer my questions and research any vehicles I wanted to see. Finally settled on a new/used vehicle with only 3,000 miles on it, I love Key Autos large reach and vehicle options. I'll be bringing my vehicles here anytime I have an issue and I'll recommend them to others as well. 🙏

Terrible place to deal with. Run as fast as you can or just go to another dealer and save yourself the headache. I had to deal with 2 locations and one was worse than the other. I wouldn't buy a matchbox car from them! All set! Terrible communication from 2 GM's.

Had to travel from Long Island to Ct. took ferry from pt Jeff to Bridgeport & drove @ an hour to key. & cost @$100 one way with my son & grandson. Was worth the $ & time & trip.our salesman stanley was easy to deal with & a pleasure to talk to after speaking to him on the phone. No pressure like other car dealers. Very friendly & accomodating. Glad I purchased from Stan & the key Chevrolet people.

This was by far the worst experience I have ever had when dealing with a car dealership. I financed a Jeep Cherokee Latitude and the very next day I couldn’t start it. I missed work and when I expressed my concerns, I was treated incredibly disrespectful, as if their mess up was my inconvenience. I would never refer anyone to them. I am very disappointed with this place and their sales staff.

This is a fantastic Dealership. I needed to find a specific kind of work truck and this was the only Dealership to come through. Not only did they come through but I got a smokin deal and an unbelievably great value for my trade. Today I brought the truck in for its first oil change and tire rotation. They automatically seek out notices and recalls. Best part was there was no up-sell. The staff here are super professional and go the extra to get you on your way...Someone actually concerned about the value of your time these days is let's face it extremely rare (thank you Dori). This is what every car dealership should strive to be like!

Company has horrible communication skills and will take advantage of you any chance they get. Work was not done as requested and they had my vehicle for well over the time they stated. I was infuriated to pick up my vehicle and find that the work had not been done. Still being harassed by them over 10 months later. Can't get a call back from anyone at the parent company or their subsidiaries. Do not go work with any of the companies in this group!

I had a great experience with the Service Department the gentleman was very experienced Repaired my vehicle pretty quick, they offered Internet and Outlet's to charge your phone, alsi Popcorn and homemade cookies for free while you wait. I will Definitely go back

after buying a new vehicle and dealing with key auto for +100k miles I can safely say that I will never buy another vehicle from them again. I might buy another GM buy certainly not from any company controlled by key auto. Terrible customer service imo.

Not at all happy!! I purchased a Used Challenger and They had me purchase an extended contract which I had never used. I sold the car and called the Finance Manager as I was due a Refund and they never called me back. I called several times and someone told me to get a copy of the Bill of sale and photos of the Mileage which I did and Emailed to the Dealer and again never heard back. No problem as it was not a lot of money but I will never go there again!!
