Many thanks to Chuck and Austin for replacing my battery as well as testing and replacing the battery in my son’s car! Stopped in for new wipers. Place was busy in store and phone off the hook. The manager took time to help find the exact clip fit for the new PIA honda wipers, even made sure they were installed. I offered cash for his help and he politely declined. This kindness and customer service during a challenging time of year is greatly appreciated. Thank you

I have only had positive experiences at the Auto Zone in North Hampton, NH so today was not a surprise. I had a short window of time to get new wipers on my car before a 12:00pm appt. I walked in and waited for one customer in front of me to finish. The gentleman that helped me was courteous and efficient. After looking up my specific car, he showed me my options, but wasn't pushing a certain brand or price point on me. After I selected the wipers, he completed the transaction and was kind enough to exchange the wipers on my vehicle. I'm fairly certain I could do it, but I also knew he would be faster. He had both blades off and replaced in about 2 minutes. I was very appreciative and tried to give him a tip. It was at that point that I learned he is the manager and would not take a tip. I told him I would leave a review for him and now I have. You can't go wrong at the North Hampton Auto Zone. Great customer service!!

Don't go to Portsmouth auto zone,very lazy and unhelpful. I'm older and have no car knowledge and was just helped with 3 fuses by the best two guys working the day shift Sat.August 16,2025. These guys both need a raise! I'll always come to this auto zone. They are very knowledgeable. Great experience today!,

I want to give a big shoutout to Rod at the North Hampton, Nh AutoZone for his outstanding customer service. He was incredibly helpful, friendly, and patient while assisting me with my headlight bulbs and Plastic Rivets Fasteners. Rod's knowledge about automotive parts and his willingness to guide me through the process made a potentially stressful task quick and easy. Stopped in to grab a few supplies, North Hampton NH and the moment we walked through the door, the manager (I think his name was Rob?) greeted us like we were long-lost friends. He must’ve overheard our conversation because, without missing a beat, he pointed us straight to aisles 3 and 5—like a mind-reading retail ninja. We also asked him to check a code on our vehicle, and he was more than happy to help. Honestly, I could go on and on, but I’ll just say this: I can’t remember the last time we had such an outstanding experience at an auto parts store. This kind of service is what you’d expect down South—hospitality, helpfulness, and a whole lot of “wow.” Up here? It’s rare. Give this guy a raise, a promotion, a parade—something! He’s a rockstar in a sea of wrenches.

I had a couple of questions about a rental vehicle, a GMC Acadia, I was driving. I thought I needed gas and could't find how to open the gas cap and the location of the button for hazzard lights if needed. The AutoZone people were so helpful and pleasant. I've used AutoZone in the past and will continue.

I was in need of new wiper blades. The store manager looked up the size blades that I needed and then changed the blades for me, and took the old ones and packaging to throw away. He was very pleasant to deal with and my wife had the same experience earlier this week. The individuals that work in this store have always been great to deal with and are helpful.

I stopped into AutoZone today in North Hampton. My engine light was on. This really nice guy, so sorry, didn't get his name, came out to check my vehicle. He gave me the test summary, no charge. They was a young woman in there that was also very nice. I appreciate the help today. Thanks again!

We bought a battery & a warranty from autozone. Pretty soon after, the battery failed (cold crank and amps are down to almost nothing), and I had to get it replaced by my trusted mechanic — I couldn’t hold off to do a swap out with autozone. I called autozone (in seabrook) and they confirmed to me that I could bring the battery in for a refund. When I brought it in for a refund at North Hampton’s AutoZone, the manager said it was absolutely impossible to refund me and she could only give me a new battery. I told her the Seabrook Autozone had offered a refund, but she insisted she was unwilling to do so. When I asked her why, she said it’s up to each manager, and as manager she was simply choosing not to. It was a very frustrating and nonsensical ordeal, and she seemed to enjoy the power of denying us the fair option. We ended up going to the other AutoZone for the refund, which was no problem at all for them. I might expect this kind of treatment at some luxury car dealership, but we thought AutoZone was for the working class. We were we wrong! If you must go to autozone, avoid North Hampton and instead choose Seabrook.

I went to the AutoZone in North Hampton, next to the Dollar Store. I got exceptional service from the New Manager on duty. I came in to get my battery checked. She was friendly and very helpful. I ended up needing an alternator belt it was gone! She spotted that and saved me from driving around without the belt. I was able to get my car to the shop this morning and get it fixed without further damage. I am so grateful that she found this for me.

I simply went in and asked for new wipers for my car and asked if that's something he could help me with since I didn't know how and he said "not today, year, make and model?" We frequently use Autozone for out fleet parts. The guys in North Hampton, especially Joe and Chuck are great to work with and have helped me find numerous parts that have been discontinued and are obsolete. I drive out of my way to go to this store.

I called the store looking for slime tire repair kit .I spoke with Joe Letting him know what I was looking for,I gave him what I thought was the item number.Joe ask me to hold on while he went to make sure they had one in stock .Joe informed me that they did have the item in stock and it was also on sale for 10.00 cheaper then I thought it was I told Joe I would be there in about 45 min .Joe stated he would have it behind the counter waiting for me .when I arrived to the store and asked about my tire kit that was being held for me it was right there behind the counter as promised .you just get that kind of service just anywhere

The manager was very helpful! My car battery died and he honored the warranty and even installed the new battery into my car for me and cleaned the corrosion off the terminals at no charge. Super kind of them to help with all that!

*EDIT- The regional Manager personally called me to apologize and said I should go back to the store to complete the return. That interaction was incredibly friendly, the staff present at that time expressed their apologies at the whole situation and restored my confidence in that store. (Original) Had a super rude experience. I needed to swap out a mismatched sized wiper blade and the person that day, said, "Sure just grab the one you need" I asked if he needed to do it in the register for inventory, and he said "No, you're fine." I went home and installed the blade. When I hit rain I realized that the blade was defective. It smeared right through the vision line. I had to buy a new blade somewhere else as I was mid way through a road trip. I went back to return the defective blade and because the transaction was not recorded I was basically accused of scamming them. The manager happened to be at the register and said "sure he could refund me. IF I had the proper receipt." I explained how the other employee did not handle the transaction properly, and he was continually rude. I asked if I could at least trade for a replacement that might not be defective, and again he said "Yes IF you had the proper receipt." In my frustration and upset I left the blade there, and realize I should have taken it back and dealt directly with Duralast. I will certainly NOT be using this Autozone again.

Austin was so kind and put the wipers I had bought on my car for me in the middle of a snowstorm when I didn’t know how to do it myself! The other store associate called across the street to help me get my oil changed. You guys have a customer and referral source here in Hampton for life. Thank you!

Had issues with my car battery and Austin went above and beyond to help me out. Purchased a replacement battery from another AutoZone location and was told they were too busy to help me change it out. Came to the North Hampton location and he gladly helped me out. Showed me the process of changing the old battery out and putting in the new one.

Yesterday I went into this Auto Zone looking for a battery for my Honda CRV key fob. I entered an empty store and heard only the voice of a young woman chatting on a phone somewhere behind the counter. I could not see her. I looked for another salesperson, saw no one, waited a,bit, and then said, "Hello?" Nothing. I waited 3 or 4 minutes, hearing only the sound of the woman's chatter. Another young employee entered the store. I told him what I needed, he pointed me to a rack of batteries. I asked him which one I needed for my Honda. He said he didn't know. I told him I would check the auto parts business down the street in Hampton. I then drove 2 minutes to Fisher Auto Parts in Hampton. I walked in, was immediately greeted by a personable gentleman. I told him what I needed. He got the proper battery, put it in my fob, made sure it worked on my car, and told me the price of the battery. It was markedly less expensive than the Auto Zone one. I also bought an extra battery. In under 4 minutes I left Fisher Auto Parts a highly-satisfied customer.

There about 6 months ago after car trouble on the highway. Helpful counterman, but not very knowledgeable without plugging the scan tool into the computer and giving us a bunch of canned responses of the 1/2 dozen problems that could have been. If you are going in there for parts, go in with more info than you think they'll need, because the computer is going to give them generic responses of how to help you

I went into this store today, usually I know exactly what I want and where to ge it. So, I rarely need help. But, today I needed help finding a lic plate bulb that was not in the book. I waited at the only register where an employee was. I waited patiently for him to finish whatever he was doing on the computer and then 2 men came in and the gentleman employee helped both men before me. He never even looked at me. That's when I decided to speak up and say excuse me, you just helped 2 MEN who cut in front of me and completely ignored me. The only thing he said to me was you're at the commercial desk. Well, hello, you are the only one here. I completely felt discriminated against because I'm a woman. This employee I see works there everyday but no name tag or I would've called corporate. Shame on him and the company. I will never go back to this store and will be very vocal to friends and family about my experience. I truly hope someone from corporate sees this and takes action. *update* my husband tells me he's the manager.
